M4 Aqua | Problem in Listening Music - Sony Xperia M4 Aqua

Hello there,
I have been suffering from this problem for so long. While playing a song in Sony's Music app or any other music app sometimes the song stuck for a bit like one sec and it happens several times while listening songs. This is too irritating issue I encountered, it's a kind of disturbing when we listen songs.
Is there any solution regarding this issue??

Yes, I have exactly the same problem!

Also following the Sony support Forum but still no solution out...
https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Music/Xperia-M4-Aqua-play-music-problem/td-p/1058784/page/3

If you can, please post this problem also on sony support forum, I will do the same, maybe they will fix it if there are many people complaining about.

When i had a Xperia L with Android 5.1.1 i had the same problem. Now very often when i'm using Poweramp and turn off screen, music stops and i must restart phone then it's working but after some time still i must doing the same.

Yes, I already posted there (TheHuntsman my id). Let's see what happens...
Btw TTPod is working fine, not encountered this problem with TTPod.

I have the same issue, but solved it by not using the music app at all, instead I use poweramp with the audio buffer on 500+ and priority of poweramp on audio on +1, works fine for me.

Poweramp is a nice player bt it is a paid app and hard to crack without root. What about the Poweramp free version?

You can use poweramp for free for 2 weeks, then uninstall, delete poweramp data and installation folder, install it again, after 2 weeks repeat...
Or, you can use vlc, I think it works great.

VLC and Poweramp has the same loading issue. It takes too much time to load all the Music files. Rather I found TTPod is better app. Two days ago I installed Poweramp it shows still loading even have not played any music with poweramp. Btw tnx for the suggestion.

I also encountered this issue and nothing seems to fix it

Yeah hope the Marshmallow update may solve the problem. Rather using TTPod slightly solved the problem.

This phone has so many problems and I am glad I am not the only one. I thought it does my sd card but it does not how can I see.

Any news for M4 Aqua marshmallow update??

Found a better solution... No music stuck problem on Sony's default Music... Finally I actually found out why music stucks on Sony Music, they stuck issue happens when the Stamina Mode is active, disabling the Stamina Mode the issue never happened.... Tried to listen songs on Sony Music for long when the Stamina Mode disabled but no music stuck problem found.
Guys you please try and give feedback...

I think I found a way
Hey if you still have this problem, I actually found a way that worked for me to stop the kind of buffering you get when you play your music on any app. I called Sony Xperia Support and that's what they said: Go to your settings and go in applications. Then look for the app you want to use for your music, and delete the data, stop the app ("forcer l'arret" in french) and clear the "cache" (I don't know what it's called in english, that's in french). Then try to use the app. It worked for me. I hope it helps. Sorry for my english.

I haven't tried it, if the problem still exists then no solution without using a 3rd party app, I found TTPod is a cool app. No problem with TTPod I am using it. You can try the app as a temporary solution for the problem till the Sony development responses.

Get the TTPod here-

[Q] Bug in SE Music app?

Did anybody else notice a bug in SE Music app on newest Gingerbread Rom? For me, when playing music, tracks are often interrupted by a strange electronic noise.
BTW I'm using "WB-XPERIA TW Gingerbread". Did anybody has similar problems
and does this bug also appears in stock gingerbread rom or is it due to using a custom rom? I would be thankful for any answers.
Best regards.
me too
i have this problem too in WB 2.3.3 ROM
a lot of lags in audio player
I'm on wb hotfix 4 and ubermusic, and have no problems at all
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
i think the music player is really buggy... apart from the static noises between tracks, after unlocking from lock screen the track skips. Theres no shuffle/ repeat options at all, and wma files doesnt show up.
I was about to post the same thing. Other than her has anybody found a mp3 that does not skip.

Yeah, I`ve same problem, when using that stock music player(which has that widget). It`s really annoying, like stopping music playing for 0,5 sec and then continuing, that really sux :/ I hope there`ll be some fix for it...
Using this one here.

Best combination I have found so far! Also on hotfix 4 and ubermusic gives me the least amount of trouble for playing music. Still skips when turning screen on but it is much more tolerable overall!
Yes guys, seems to be an issue with 2.3.3. Wolf is working on a new ROM (as the rooted ones are based on an indian firmware of X10 - but apparently the ROM from GB doesn't have this issue).
Please check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16278495&postcount=1904
Is not related to SD Card, nor to hardware (as it worked ok with 2.1 no stuttering ever) as far as I can tell.
Since Monday I'm on 005 but still the same probs with the stock player. Now 2 days later, I've considerably fewer drops. Didnt install any add apk's. very strange ?!?
by the way ;did anyone test mp3 with different bit rates ?
I've tested 128 kbps (same issues) and vbr 192-320 kbps (same issues).
I connected to my car's hands free and still had the same issues.
I connected to an A2DP music gateway and it didn't hiccup when rotating but messed up when turning the screen back on/off.
Someone said that the UK GB version doesn't have this problem. Wolf also mentions this (I think he's going to use the pre-rooted UK version for 006). Right now Wolf's rom is based on the pre-rooted India version.
Is anyone running EWJet? That one is based on the UK version and it would be interesting to know if that one is having audio issues.
I also have similar issue its too much lagy.
And also when i open some mp3 file from file manager it plays the other.
there are too many problems with this default music player from sony.
And also i can't use next/previous button of my mw600 with this player.
Mediascape was much much better then this.
Please i want mediascpe back on 2.3.3. Help me out.
I'm now on 006 , and the problems are back . I dont believe that it is an 2.3.3 specific problem. As I wrote before , on the old version the noises were gone after 2 days.

Music just keeps stoping

Hi guys
Getting fed up every time I try to play my music it keeps stopping and I have to keep restarting the music.
I do not have my phone rooted at all.
Does anyone know why it's happening.
Thanks for any help guys
Sent from my GT-I9300
I have this problem as well, I figured it was because all my music was on a Class 2 SD card and the player would stop if the next file didn't load quick enough.
It only plays so much of the song then stops.
But I installed TSF launcher and played the music with no problems at all hmmmmm.
So what's going on?
Sent from my GT-I9300
yes i've experienced that random stop in previous XXALEF.
and no it's not because of the microsd card because i have a class 6 not class 2 as mentioned here. and i've used this microsd full of mp3s in my previous phones.
never experienced it again on XXALF6.
I'm on XXALF2
like I said my phone is not rooted at all.
Sent from my GT-I9300
Did you try a different music player?
Not yet will give it a try
Sent from my GT-I9300
Likely you are experiencing this due to low RAM. If you installed a new launcher and it works fine then the Touchwiz launcher probably uses a lot of RAM causing music to stop.

That just can't be... Proof is here:

I've only ever had this in the past using faulty headphones. Maybe not related to your issue though but never know.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Given up using my phone for music because of this, all music players gave me issues whilst browsing, just listen to the radio now. Crap. I'd try a reboot though, helped me shirt term.
You can always try on another rom (with more RAM free). Or try other headphones just in case
I have had this on a few occasions with the default player .What i discovered was a message flashed up (not persistent notification so probably missed it before) saying no track exists or track not found. Cant recall exactly the message but looking into it realised some tracks were in different formats so basically player couldn't read them so instead of moving to next shuffled track player just stops.
Other thing is some of my music files are in bit of a mess due to importing to SD cards ,phones etc using various apps and methods few wav Flac aac in the mix to.
So just an idea to check your music files with a file manger see everything is in order and which formats though i think default player is meant to play most formats.
Personally i mostly use Poweramp have for few years on devices, like the default player but cant scrobble and prefer widget with no background
I'd say this is a problem with the software. I have had this problem as well. Samsung will need to look into this for sure. If my music gets interrupted at all, i have to kill the process and start it again. I'm not sure if the problem lies in communication between BT, aux jack or what.
Maybe its due to the motion control..Go to settings>Motion>Go to "Turn over to mute/pause" option> Turn it off> Might solve the problem, Not sure!:silly:
Also try turning off "Palm touch to mute/pause" option in "Settings>Motion" itself

Interesting, think you maybe on to something with that palm touch thing, after all I've taken loads of screenshots in my pocket..
After upgrading my phone to ZSALF1 (hong kong bought), this seems to have fixed the problem with the music starting.
Incidentally, I also turned off the motion to capture the screen as I also had taken screenshots in my pocket. Annoying.
Cheers

[GUIDE][FIX] Music "lags" while playing songs [All Xperia 2011][MDPI][GB][ICS][JB?]

[GUIDE][FIX] Music "lags" while playing songs [All Xperia 2011][MDPI][GB][ICS][JB?]
I don't really know if this happens to other people but it's very annoying and i found the solution. My one for music "lags" or "jams" (don't know how to say it) is this:
1. Download and install "PlayerPro" music app from Play Store (try trial before buying full version if you wanna do it).
2. Open it and go Menu/Settings, scroll down till you see Audio (tap on it) and download and install DSP package (will open Play Store again).
3. Activate it from PlayerPro app from the same location and you'll have to restart it.
4. Then, go again to Menu/Settings/Audio and change the priority to "Maximum" (it's on "Normal" by default).
This last will give big priority to our music players (even stock WALKMAN app) in RAM. Really hope that i helped someone
By the way, sorry if i didn't give "real" translations because my app is in spanish language. Worked nice for me. No more instantly interruptions in music on GB or ICS!
Works perfect, thanks a lot bro!

thank you so much :good:
thank you so much, i've been looking for a fix for this for soo long now, and imagine i have been using player pro almost all that time.
If i uninstall the app will the 'lags' come back?? have you tried?
Amazing! Really Reaaaaally Amazing! But, is possible apply any solution using Google Play Music or Apollo Music Player?
Thanks a lot!
the latest update to either the dsp pack or player pro has started back the lagging :crying:
Stay Fighting!
Hi friends!
I'm testing this solution, is my last hope! xD
Install Build Drop editor on Google Play or manually edit build.drop in " /system/ "
and add this lines:
Code:
sys.keep_app_1=.com<your_music_player>
and:
Code:
sys.keep_app_1=android.process.media
This lines forces the process stay on memory and theoretically reduces the lag! Please give me feedback!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Sorry for my BAD english! xD
i'm not comfortable doing these sort of things, untill someone says it works i can handle the lagging
Works good you made my day
For those who use n7 player (in my opinion, the best player out there), you dont have to make all these steps. Just go into the app, settings, playback, and tick the audio proxy buffering option. There you have it, lag free.
(you dont have to worry about any internet data transfer, this option doesnt use internet in any way, the word "proxy" stands for something else, not internet related)
works perfectly, tested on my lww.
Thanks :good:
 Fine, this works perfectly, very thanks!

Play Videos on Youtube

Hello guys,
Maybe someone got the same issue like me.
I want to Play Videos from YouTube, yes it works at first start, can Play 4-5 Videos before the Play issue stops my current track.
Then a small text is written: We found a Problem, so we cant Play that Video. that appears everytime with 2nd app start and goes until i reinstall the app. This bug Comes with 5.1.1 or 5.0.2. I still don't know if i can fix that, or something is just not clear.
Hope anyone can give more Information.
Yeah. That's a classical problem of lollipop. Until now we have to reboot the device to make it work back again.

iMusic

Hello, i have a red VIVO Nex S. I have already remapped my button for Google assistant and got Nova launcher and deleted some chinese apps that were a bit useless. I also deleted video just because i couldn't decide which video app to use even if "mxPlayer" was set by default (no issues with it so far).
But i would like to use the music app, i am not a genius, but it seems that there is some western music and Japanese music. But every time i go to artist or songs, radio, playlist or even try to start a Chinese song, it doesn't work.
Anyone that can know why or have the same problem?
I have music downloaded to my storage. When I downloaded Amazon music player and tried opening songs, I got a message "Amazon needs storage permission."
I fixed it by allowing the music player storage permission: Settings\More Settings\Permission Management\Apps tab. Look for the music app and check for Storage permission.
Here is the iMusic app from the global model. Don't know if it helps, but you can try it.

Just install it like a apk. Whats version is yours? iMusic is here 4.2.0 and 1.0. If your is newer, than i am afraid you cannot install it.
6.0.06 and 1.0
None of them get installed
I also trier to delete the apps, but the small one got deleted and i can't install the one you sent me(so i don't have it anymore at all) amd the big one doesn't even get delete....
Do tou know a good music app that is kot called Spotify? Something like iMusic that is both internal player and online music app?
iMusic Arrangement
I recently just uploaded a music album into iMusic -Global version- and noticed that it arranges the tracks alphabetically NOT by track list number which is strange. I've tried everything I could possibly think of, but no result. If anyone came across this issue and was able to resolve it, please let me know
Thanks,
I also have notice that for some reason I have Google maps tracks... For example "in 200 meters.." Inside iMusic
