They are in the "international" development forum.
Not sure if you are looking for GPE or Sense (Dev Edition is the only one released so far), but here are links for both:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/rom-stock-unlocked-developer-sense-7-t3262894
Neither is rooted by default due to the funkiness of rooting MM, and the file protection on this device. The Sense ROM is rooted by choosing so in the AROMA installer. For the GPE ROM, I believe obtaining root is discussed in the thread. Otherwise, there is a thread for MM root in the "international" General forum section:

The brand new skydragon.

[Roll up Thread] Current Roms AT&T and International

List Completed (with the exceptions of RUU's) as of 03/21/13
So what is this? This is a completed list as of 02/10/13 listing all of the available roms for the One X+ broken down between International and AT&T and then broken down between original development and Sense based roms.
Why Is it here? Well the simple answer is to allow easy access to the different roms available for the One X+. As the two devices are different This will allow you to hopefully quickly find what you need. The long answer is people keep bickering back and forth (myself included) about whether or not to separate the AT&T One X+ and the International One X+ development forums. I personally feel this will have a negative effect on the AT&T version of the phone so i put this list together in hopes of it being somewhat of a compromise to drop the conflict (that probably wont happen but hey).
WHAT BELONGS HERE: Nothing. Do not comment in here. it is not needed and I most likely do not care.
WHAT DOESN'T BELONG HERE: ANYTHING. Most importantly DO NOT post about the need for AT&T and the International phones to be separated. There is already a thread for that.
If your rom is not listed PLEASE PM me with device (international or AT&T) and link and I will add it. If you want your work removed from my list again PM me. Why you would I am not sure.
STATUS: Pretty sure it is complete

The best option is to go to http://androidfiles.org/ruu and find your device in the list.
Great idea! A place to stop the confusion of "...Is this for my device??" :good: Just a suggestion, but you might want to label the second post Kernel and third Post Recovery just in case people are like " hey where are the Kernels you mentioned?" Also, maybe a link to each in the OP.
help pls
do you have any link for htc one x+ ruu for software version 1.17.707.1 ?
or
can you suggest me any other ruu that can be used for 1.17.707.1 ?
thank you

Correct. Apparently a new dev is supposed to joining soon (according to Lloir) who will be working on the AT&T HOX+
Well I've been working on it but I just don't have the device

Awesome stuff. Thanks a lot.
www.htcruu.com has been shut down, any other place to find RUU's?
This thread should really be a sticky....lots of helpful stuff in here that gets asked a lot, like where to find stock recovery, stock ruu, etc.
So anyway, I'm casting my vote for the sticky.
The trouble with RUU is often times after being hosted HTC issues a take down notice

[Q] Which ROM is current and near-stocky?

There are a wealth of AT&T/HTC M8 ROM options in the development forum, but I'm a bit confused by the way devs keep a thread from March or April alive, updating to a new Android on the thread, rather than starting a new thread for a new major version.
Are any of the ROMs based on the newest release, complete with DotView and the good battery life of the stock unit? Is there a comparison list? Thanks.
Various reasons why devs update the same thread, instead of making a new one. But the main one is that once a ROM has been updated, the previous versions are essentially obsolete, and the intent is to move forward; not remain in the past.
"Newest release" is a slightly tricky question. The latest official AT&T release is 2.23, which was back from August. International and other carriers have updated to 3.x, but it hasn't rolled out on AT&T yet. Although 3.x has been released for the Dev Edition, which is intended to be used on AT&T's network.
Comparisons and discussions about battery life are also tricky. This is normally very subjective, and depends on how you use your phone and other factors (such as network reception).
For the most up-to-date release intended for AT&T, I'd recommend the ROM thread by Wonders_Never_Cease.
Thank you. The refreshing of old threads is a bit confusing to me; it's hard to track which data is new and which is six months old.
Probleme OTA
Hello, allow me to write my problem on this forum, having found no solution elsewhere.
Here I have a htc one m8 European version without over-layer operator 4.4.3 s-off and TWRP custom. (203 cid-Version 2.22.401.5)
I wish to put the ota, but I can not even following the tutorials.
Can I take a stock 4.4.3 rom to a custom rom (HD Revolution) 4.4.4?
thank you

[Q] Android 5.0 Lollipop on AT&T HTC One (M8)

I know very little about Android and ROMs in general, but what is the easiest way to get the stablest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop on my rooted M8? Are there ROMs out there that offers the stock Android 5.0 experience currently? If there is: are there any additional steps to make it compatible with my phone apart from the steps taken to root it originally?
I would love someone to help me out
Thanks
I believe the only 5.0 ROM is the GPE SkyDragon ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706391
You will need to have s-off and update your firmware to 3.x base, or you will have broken WiFi.
Android 5.0 has only been released on GPE at this time. 5.0 with Sense is coming within a month. After that, you will see custom ROMs with that base. But we won't see an official AT&T LP version for some time (we are still waiting for 4.4.4 coming mid-December).

Wait, what, I don't see L being pushed to the M8 GPE yet. Is this confirmed?
Havent heard of official release yet. I believe the latest official is still 2.12.1700
Quick search shows its been delayed

Is that 2.12.1700.1 or dome other version. I believe I've seen 2.12.1700.5 before. So, I guess official GPE firmwares follow the 2.12 format ? Is this correct ?

My bad, the GPE Lollipop was supposed to rollout 11/21, but I'm just seeing it was delayed at the last minute (haven't really been keeping up). Skydragon is based on a leak, I believe. There is also the following ROM, based on the same leak, but more stockish:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716306
I didn't read that much of the thread. Its posted in the Verizon M8 section, but claims to be "MULTICARRIER" and therefore have GSM base as well. Read up and confirm before you flash, if anything.
Whatever the official release was, wasnt sure of the whole build number, but I know its not the one 3.XX build released by skydragon. As stated above that build is a leaked build. The build numbers will increase, nobody knows what final build number will be till either an ota is captured or a ruu is found.

Yes but what is the best one ? That is 5.0 and its rooted ?
Try to get more information from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2772658 it lists all the information you may need.
For the best ROM. Everyone may have different comment. I am using Resurrection which is smooth and it got enough function that I want. Someone may stick on stock based rom. You can try yourself. Most of them are rooted. So you can flash them and test with your own experience. :highfive:
Nice spam thread here is a development thread, so if u want to ask something better open a thread in Q&A

Converting Verizon G3 to vanilla Android

I'm sorry if I'm asking questions that have been answered here, but I am new to rooting and am suffering from information overload. I get confused about references to stock Android and whether this means the stock Verizon version or the untouched Android that Nexus devices get.
I'm using this phone through Tracfone and thus do not receive OTA updates. This also makes all of the Verizon bloat all the more useless. I'm not looking for a special ROM, I just want vanilla Android that will receive new updates over wifi.
Is this possible?
Hi. Stock means what LG/Verizon put on our phone. I understand the confusion, though, and I used to be confused about it too. It's best to call "pure" or "purer" Android AOSP, or from what I've read there isn't any true full AOSP that's user compiled any more - they're all more or less based on CyanogenMod, so "AOSP" or "CM", but CM is more realistic. AOSP is what Nexus has, although of course, it can be called stock too since in that case they're one in the same unless you're running a user-compiled AOSP in which case if it were me I would call it something else to distinguish it from the stock AOSP on Nexus.
CyanogenMod-based ROMs will be the closest you'll get. CM13 for Marshmallow. I don't know if CM gets OTAs, I think sometimes in the past they have, at least once a version of CM has gone "final" (not sure if CM13 has gone final). Some ROMs that are based on CM have OTAs too.
I can't speak as to how well these work. I used to use CM-based ROMs more on other phones but for me, stock works so much more reliably/predictably and overall smoother than AOSP/CM. AOSP/CM and International-based stock ROMs always seem to have some unreliableness factor.
If you want a debloated but reliable ROM based on stock (which would receive OTAs if there ever are any more, but it's doubtful there will be), use @xdabbeb 's stock 47A (Marshmallow) firmware along with either my debloat zips or the debloat generator made by another user, which I link to in the third post of the 47A firmware thread in the Development section. The debloat zips/generator are also linked to in my signature below.
Overall, personally, I consider @xdabbeb 's VS985 v2.0 ROM, based on 35B (5.1.1) the best ROM, but I'm currently using the stock 47A firmware with complete debloating and am satisfied with it.
I use Xposed and G3TweaksBox to get some features on stock ROMs that I consider a must.
The easiest way to flash the ROM I mentioned is (if you're not rooted yet), first tell us what version of the stock ROM you're on. If it's anything but 23C or 24B, the absolute easiest way to root and put custom recovery on is by downgrading to 10B using the TOT method and the .DLL that's extracted from the 35B KDZ. Links to the TOT and DLL in @annoyingduck 's stickied return to stock thread in the General section, also the first link in my signature below.
Directions and the links to the program to flash TOTs, you'll have to Google for.
In the future, please ask all questions in the Q&A section. I'll ask a moderator to move this thread. Thanks!
Thanks for the response. I am definitely most interested in reliability. After reading your post, I think I might just stick with the stock Verizon image and wait for the upgrade tool to release Marshmallow.

You're welcome! Or if I didn't say it before, you can flash the 47A KDZ with LG Flash Tool 2014, preferably with the CSE option which will wipe all data including internal storage, so use the built in LG Backup and also move what you want to keep from your internal storage.
