I sold a moto x 2nd edition online that I hard reset. The buyer is now saying that he needs my credentials to continue setting up the phone. This is part of the anti theft security Google has implemented. The screen says "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google account that was previously synced on this device.".
Is there any way for me to fix this for him without giving him my email and password?
I tried android device manager online but nothing helps.

Hi, I have just bought a Danew tablet and I have the problem of the “Device was reset. Sign in with Google Account that was Previously Synced” message. I have spent hours trying several of the remedies suggested on the net, but have never managed to download a recommended file. I am trying to contact the seller in the hope that he can let me know his password, and then change it. Please please tell me if there is a *real* solution to this problem. Certainly it is time the industry made it possible for a person to sell a phone or a tablet without penalizing the buyer! Thank you.

Hi, as one of my friends phone was about to get stolen when we were out in town a few days ago, I wanted some tracking and anti-theft software on my GS2. I found out how the pre-installed software from Samsung works (go to http://www.samsungdive.com/DiveMain.do and register your phone, and then enable tracking under the phone's security settings). But it is a very poor anti-theft solution if you ask me, even thou it works just as well as any solution on the market. First of all, if GPS is disabled and you try to track your phone using the Samsung website, it will ask you "do you want to enable GPS?"..that's just plain stupid and I don't see why it can't force it to start. Second of all, if my phone got stolen I would expect it to get reset to factory settings at some point. In order to avoid this, the phone should ask for the same pincode it ask for when you enable/disable tracking. That way it should always be possible to find the phone if it ever got stolen. I figured it was a simple yet good idea and wanted to feature request it for Android, but I couldn't find any information on where you can do so. Do any of you guys know? Or do any of you developers talk to the Android developers or do they roam in a certain part of the XDA forum?

Please try to contact Samsung/Google via the official contact/support email addresses first.
As they are using help desk systems, each email to those addresses become documented as a request or ticket and will be worked through in some way.
Every other contact (via personal network or a free/internet forum) is "in-official" and could lead into a loss of your input.

It doesn't on my phone. It remotely turns on GPS automatically with no prompt on the phone.
Hello. I just got the Verizon Ellipsis 10 (QTAIR70 tablet. Is there a working root method for it available? Thanks in advance.
I posted this question about 4 weeks ago and there has been no response yet. It's not even listed as a device on this site. It might be because it is from Verizon. They make it almost impossible to access your own device. This will be the last Verizon device that I buy.

I also have the Verizon ellipsis 10 I have $500. Into mine, with all the accessories! I want to Root it. I had problems with my service, for over two weeks I wasn't getting any service, So I told them to disconnect me, because I wasn't paying for something that I wasn't getting. They continued to charge me for three months after wards. I wasn't even using my tablet at that point. They sent me to collections. I feel that after paying $500. For the products & getting screwed over, that I deserve to have better options & control of my device. Has anyone safely rooted this device???? Please help!

I'm guessing no one with any knowledge or skills has one of these. A friend gave me his after he factory reset it and got locked out. It'd be nice to have root, and CM on it.

I also would love an frp workaround.. I have a client who has hired my computer security company to remove an frp lock from their grandsons ellipsis 10 tablet... he forgot his password...

I know this is an old thread but the FRP workaround on this device is pretty easy. You have to side step the device setup download a few files and install them and then you can add and additional G account, then finish device setup and do a factory reset from the device settings screen.
Visit the following page and in setup you need to download and install Google acount manager 5 and the add a google acount apks. you then setup a new G acount through the browser. They have a youtube video on how to do it if you look for a link on their page.

Ok so I hear the bypass used here as mentioned used to work but if your tablet now has the latest updates, it won't. When I try to get In via browser it won't, stating that java needs to be enabled. Well tonight I finally slipped In and got into Google somewhat of a browser. And I can search and click links but when I go to try and download apk files, just nothing at all happens.
To get into the Google browser I go thru the setup till I get to verify account. Hit the forgot email, and typed in a phone number. Hit next band then it asks for first name. But now, on the keyboard below notice the small microphone. Tap that. Then, tap the settings icon on the left. After that, go to About on the bottom left. Then legal, on the right side. Then, tap privacy policy. On the very top look for the colorful GOOGLE and tap that. In. From there I can't get the apk files to download. Or if they are downloading, no option to open. Can anyone help from here??
just add 2 google accounts! first thru google account manager then thru settings under accounts and voila back out all the way to activation screen and finish the activation as normal and your done had to try different thing because info on this is very limited and the other tips did not work for me
side note developer mode would not turn on no matter how many times i tapped on build number while in bypass mode developer works once your in as main account

I sold off the few Elipsis 10 tablets that I had, but you were correct in that they were not updated when I bypassed frp as the last update patched those vulnerabilities.
You have to experiment to get to the chrome browser and be able to install apks, same as almost any other android device with an FRP lock.

Dragons of Atlantis heirs of the dragon... Yesterday he played like normal, logged in, logged out... Everything was OK...
But today at 4am someone else logged in his account and deleted everything... Approximately 17000 $ of stuff bcuz you know gamers spend money some times...So is there a game bot, or exploit that breaks that game to find out emails and password? Bcuz that happened...So if anyone knows how to trace that sort of thing from my device let me know...However I don't have a computer just a phone but please reply to private MSG thanks

Man that happens when you download an application from another web and not from play store it's a very simple exploit that they made for u, you can trace maybe if your account it's from Gmail there is a option that can bring the IP and the location of your logs, and a recommendation, you should made more stronger your password and add your number phone to your email address to have more security, for now change your password this would fix that little hackers.

Hey bro.
Isn't so difficult tracing back an IP address an email and some passwords by haltering an app.
First of all, as rjcreations saied change email password with a safer one.
Then, make sure next time to download by trusted source like Play Store.
At the end, I can suggest you, after having changed password, send an email to the game devs explaining what's going on your account and see what reply you will obtain.
Ah and make sure to scan twice with MalwareBytes and AVG free (or Avast if you think it's better). Those ones work like a charm
(with you I mean your friend obv, but these advice are the standard ones)

Has been trying to get him to quit game...and I didn't know that he had given out his login info to one person...so either that did it or they gave out info...i know there's three levels of security...but not sure how. To do it on phone.
He can't change password. According to dev...not yet...so I don't know

Hello, I know this is not the right department but I have not found the OPPO A32 section, for which I am sorry. My problem is that my child played with the phone and set a password to lock the phone that I do not know, I have the phone for not long, and I have not yet set the e-mail address in the application find my phone. My question is I tried my phone carrier to get the ip address of my phone that my son has decided to lift from my bedroom with my wallet, I don't want my boy in any trouble and the carrier says they can only suspend the service. What if he needs itcan anyone help me find my son.

You can try using Google's "Find my device" feature, you can login to your Google account on PC and then use Google's website to locate your device using the "Find my Device" feature, you can also wipe your device remotely to prevent someone from stealing your personal info such as bank account, card numbers, etc..
