I received an unlock code from T-Mobile. I tried the unlock code and tried it on an 5.1.1 AOSP ROM and it said the unlock was unsuccessful. Do I need to be on stock firmware to use the unlock code? If so, can someone give me a link to a TWRP flashable stock rom? Will a custom stock based rom like Maverick 5.1.1 work?

It is my understanding that unlock code is stored in a file in Vibrant.
So, in the process of flashing custom ROMs and then reverting back to stock, i used the stock ROM that was uploaded in an XDA thread.
Does it mean i have overwritten my unlock code? Can't i no longer use the unlock code that T-Mobile sent me? I haven't tried it (waiting for the JI6 to arrive on my phone).
I have a rooted HTC one, trying to unlock to use with T-mobile. Was using ARHD 51. Flashed a stock sense based rom but code still not working.

there still is no way to unlock efs 2 ? I need the phone working asap, and I would purchase code, but I need to ask:
will the purchased code work on this rom, or do I need to revert to stock, in order to apply purchased code ?

Unlock code should work on any rom, but you could flash a stock firmware to be sure.

I wanna Sim-unlock my phone (galaxy s5) but it's running on cyanogenmod. I know it's not possible to unlock sim with a custom rom but is it possible to unlock the phone if I flash a Stock Rom? And does the rom have to be with original branding?

No, it's not possible to unlock your phone on a custom firmware. Yes, you have to flash the original firmware with branding by the phone's original carrier then unlock it for all networks. This will work. You can use a custom firmware again after unlocking the phone.
