I've been searching for awhile without any luck. Trying to make a firmware file and need the system.img to be converted to sparsechunk files. What is the best way to go about this?

I am trying to change an update.zip file back to the three components system.img, boot.img, and recovery.img. I have tried creating the system.img but when i do so the permissions are wrong on the files. (update script is not run on it to change permissions)
For boot.img i can repackage it by splitting the blob but when i do it i am not sure what base value to use. when using mkbootimg
i was wondering if there was a way to convert it back to those components in some more automated way....
I am not sure but possible emulating the install of update.zip then harvesting the img files?
Can I create system.img from firmware? I see in the firmware zip there is folder system that contain files and folders like the system.img.
How can I create system.img with that folder in firmware zip?

I have a Huawei Y536A1 US version. I am attempting to port the Y536A1 Canada Rogers version as it appears to have no carrier apps within it. I installed Cygwin and dsixda' Android Kitchen but the optiuon to extract the system.img file (ext4) does not work. I found the post for installing perl, split_update, ext4 unpacker exe, and huawei finder. Following the steps, I can unpack the system.img and extract the build.prop file. However I am totally lost at how to either edit the Canadian build.prop or how to replace it with the US version. It is simple enough to replace any .img file within the output folder, but I can't figure out how to replace or edit files inside the .img files once they are unpacked into the EXT4 unpacker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if I am going about this incorrectly, any info on redirecting my efforts to be used with a different tool would also be appreciated.

Ive done this but it was year's ago while making an odin flashable firmware for sgh-t599. Sorry to say I can't remember the procedure but I used guides so the info is out there.
You'll need Linux, and you must know the size of system partition and if it need to be raw img format or sparse img format.
With the right commands these img's can also be extracted straight from a working device.

I have a question... Where can I get the sboot.bin file for the current firmware for the sm-a107f? I downloaded multiple files from smmobile and other tools. Upon extracting into the 5 md5's and then extracting those, there is no sboot file...
Why do I need it? The phone had an account on it I didn't know about and when I did a factory reset, I found out that the phone was locked with a pattern. I read that you can create a custom flash file with three files, only two of which I found. EVERY file I download from Pie to 11/12 have the sboot missing. Can someone direct me to where the VG2 sboot file is? Or did they do away with them?
