Colour issue with amazon video - Honor 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys.
Any idea what could cause this issue? Having a green bar at the bottom and the colours are partially strange when watching amazon videos on my Honor 7 (screenshot attached). Already reported it to the amazon support, but probably there is an option to resolve it myself, e.g. any phone setting or codec installation.

this Problem seems to be fixed with Firmware B170 for the Honor7. After the Update Amazon Video works fine.

[Q] help figuring out stability problems

hi, i experience ongoing stability problems with a odys genio tablet and would like to ask for some assistence to figure out the cause of the problem.
mostly if i use the tablet to watch a movie (serviio -> bubbleupnp-server -> bubbleupnp -> mx player) the genio stops playback after some time and is "dead" - i see a monochrome screen (mostly blue) and i can't ping the genio any more.
this also happens sometimes if i use the tablet with other apps.
my first thought was that this could be probably caused by defective hardware so i installed "Stability Test" and ran all tests for at least ten minutes but the tool couldn't find any issues.
i'm thinking about to return the tablet to the shop i bought it but before i would like to investigate the problem a bit further to be sure it isn't some kind of software problem that i can fix somehow.
my question is: what could be the next step to locate the cause of these anoying crashes?

[Q] Video and audio out of sync - Netflix

I picked up a HAM2 from Amazon this week. So far I like everything with one big exception -- audio and video on Netflix and Youtube seem to be out of sync. One of the main reasons I purchased a phone this big was for watching video. I do see at least one other review on Amazon that mentions this problem. I *did* apply the update that was released 10/8 but this didn't fix the sync issue. I've also tried changing the power settings in case the CPU was being throttled and causing this; this did not help.
Do I have a bad phone or is this everyone's experience with Netflix and this device? I chatted with Huawei tech support and was told "Unfortunately, we do not have a fix for third party applications not working correctly with the device. "

Micro-stutter on video playback [Help]

I've had this tablet a couple days, coming from a Nexus 7 (2013). I seem to be having a small Micro-stutter. Almost like a sync issue on Netflix, YouTube or anythig that's played. Whether this is a software issue or a refresh rate issue I'm not sure. Someone please help?

Netflix infinity and prime video black screen with audio on

Ho guys, i'm going Crazy with this issue, please help me....
Idk why, but Yesterday(After have bene using my mate 20 pro since August without any issue) the streaming apps won't show images but only sound. I've tried everyting like clean cache of these apps, unistalling and reinstalling them, i've tried to disable the colour correction(as i've found on internet), no everyting Is update... It seams to me like some protection issue, like if the streaming apps blocks on purpose the video playback for a lack of security(? Idk, but YouTube and now tv works fine).
As you know, the mate 20 pro Is certified wilevine L1 the maximum level of protection.
Please help me, i'm getting really annoyed.
Ps: i've Also checked if some app update have been done in the previous day, and the only one was "Google services for AR" or something similar, but disabling hit haven't solved anything.
Have you tried running the app in battery save mode? i read someone else had this issue and it worked for them. Hope this helps
Do you mean the mode you can change in smartphone settings? If so, yes and nothing changed, i've tried everyting less an hard reset that i want ti avoid as much as possible. It seams to me like prime video, Netflix and infinity turn the screen black becouse they think you are recording the screen, there Is a way tu run an app and kill all other process?

Hi i have the Same Problem but only with Netflix. Prime is okay. Only Sound with black Screen.
I have solved the problem. Idk why, but switching from"intelligent mode" in the display resolution panel, in settings, to HD fixed the problem. Try to set HD, open Netflix and see if It works, than change again to full HD or quadHD. At Moment i'm using quad HD settings, and i'm no more facing the black screen problem. I've not tried the intelligent mode again.

Ps: try Also to disable color correction in settings accessibilities. For someone It worked, not in my case.

Hello the Problem is back. After testing a while i found an other solution. I added the 2 apps which only shows black Screen and Sound (Netflix and Amazon Prime) in the settings of Fluid ng .

I also have the black video problem on YouTube or Prime Video. I think it's related to some overlaying apps on top of the video. When I use a speedcam overlay on top of other windows I noticed that the video goes black. I also often use split windows, so I need to clear the split windows and restarts the video for the orientation to go away. The resolution of the phone does not make a difference.

Question Whatsapp choppy video

Hi,
Since I bought GT 2 PRO global version (RMX3301) 2 months ago, I have an issue with sending videos (recorded from the main camera) as videos playback get choppy after being processed by whatsapp.
latest updates did not solve the issue.
However, if I record and send videos directly from whatsapp, the playback is smooth.
Anyone faces the same problem? Any fixes?

If you change video options to 4k, 30-60 fps, it´s must work for you.

try turning of hevc (h265) video in setting, alternatively cut the video shorter using the editor and use the new video
same problem here. Just found out the culprit. if you download the video to computer and try to read the FPS, it always using weird number, like 28.97, 29.41, 29,33 fps. I guess that what really make whatsapp compression failed, it tried to upscale the frame rate to 30 fps but because the FPS never have constant rate, the output get choppy.
I tried using Gcam, and works perfectly, because Gcam always produce 30 fps video.
Realme should fix this bug
To solve this inconvenience (it happens in several mobiles that are not Samsung and Iphone), you must use the "VenLow" application (I suggest downloading the premium app from google) and that's it, the same application indicates how to use it and you can also watch videos on youtube.
