LG Optimus F7 root and Custom ROMs - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So today I got my new phone (an LG Optimus F7). I know what your thinking... This phone is almost 3 years old. Found it kinda funny how it doesn't even exist on the LG site anymore. Its just a replacement till I get my Nexus 6 in July. Anyway back to the topic, I need the file for Odin to root it. Iv done some google searching and can't seem to find it.
Also, If any of you know of any, i'd like a custom ROM as its running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and its quite slow and glitchy.
(sorry if im posting this in the wrong forum, i can't find a forum that would really fit this phone.)

[Q] Complete 2.2 ROM for Xperia

Hey everyone,
I just got an Xperia X10a off a friend off mine who upgraded to a different phone. I had a Captivate, but my gf broke it... I've been digging around this section of XDA and was wondering if there are any "complete" roms out for the X10 with android 2.2. I mean with everything functioning? I've seen a lot with some bugs still. I've read that this phone is a lot more difficult development wise than the Galaxy S line.

Recent Android Market Update on jailbroken Galaxy S II

Hey everyone, sorry if this was already asked, but I couldnt find anything after searching both on XDA and elsewhere on the intertubes. I'm new to this phone, and havent used Android in over a year, so I am a little rusty.
About 10 days ago, an update to the Android market took place, giving it access to books and movies. What is the best way to get this updated version of the market on my phone without loosing my jailbreak? If anyone could help, or give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Wait, till the updates roll out everywhere gradually. No point in jumping for a leaked version.
Besides, have you seen how many people are keen to go back to the old market? Lol.
Regards.

Usually when i hear that word "jailbroken" it's people talking about iPhones, do you mean unlocked to all networks or something else?
Lol your right i meant rooted. I guess you can see what platform i came from!
You will find the market update has been posted on the forum .

Very important question!

Guys, my cousin has very good phone. He knows nothing about rooting, etc. So I rooted his phone yesterday, and it's OC'd at 2.2 MHZ! His phone is very unpopular, only 5 ROMS available for it. The name of it is LG Esteem, from Metro PCS. it has a sister phone on Verizon, called the LG Revolution. Okay, on to my question.. Is it safe to flash roms made for the LG Revolution to his phone, the LG Esteem? :/ Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but there's no forums for his phone.
probably not, phones are differently named for a reason (might stuff up his radio even if its the same phone but different carrier). anyways, this thread belongs to general, at the top of the list of forums.
I don't think so mate,i think they have to be ported.
U better teach ur cousin few things about rooted phones since u rooted his ... Hihi
Btw u should ask in Lg Revolution forum, they more likely know more about ur question.

My Galaxy Skyrocket is a SGH-T989

I have searched this forum with no luck, so I'm asking for input. I have, and love a Galaxy s2 Skyrocket that was customized and is now a T989. Over the 3 years I've owned it, it has worked flawlessly on T-Mobile 4g. I would like to upgrade the OS. I have also purchased a factory unlock for the phone over a year ago, but never used it. Below is ther content of what I am running. My question is, or should I say are, what phone do I own, and how would you upgrade its operating system? Would you factory unlock it? I don't want a new phone as this one is a perfect size. I do appreciate any help, and if I missed where this was posted on this site, I apologize.

If this is too cpmplicated, I get it. Your time is important but I had to ask as I couldn't figure it out, and I'm pretty techy otherwise.

Just find a rom you like and install. Make sure you update the radio(http://goo.im/devs/Void_Dweller/T769-UVMB1_modem.zip) - that's for JB and newer roms for use with Tmo.

Need help with installing a newer version of android to an Acer A1-810

So i've spent the last few days trying to search for any info on this matter with no results, so i thought this would be the best place to ask around. Basically I found my old Acer A1-810 the other day and thought i'd charge it up and check it out as it's been a few years since i last used it. After about an hour i started considering upgrading it to a newer version of Android, as the last official support it got was an update to 4.4.2. I thought this would be easy considering when doing the same to my S3, there was community support upgrading it to Nougat (7). However the most i can find is a rooting method that doesn't work on anything higher than 4.2.2 and some sketchy tutorials and websites that i don't feel are very trustworthy. So i'd appreciate it if there was a way anybody could help me. Cheers!
