Okay so I installed the latest rr nightly and realised that my earphones, mic and speakers arent working . Neither can I make phone calls and reciece them.
I reverted back to miui forchecking the hardware for mic and it failed and exited the check. Same for call.
My model is :
Redmi note 3 16gb/2gb variant
Miui 6.12.22
Can anyone help??

You need to flash CM13 firmware file if you are flashing custom rom based on CM13 and if you are flashing custom rom based on CM14 than you have to flash Cm14 firmware file. If you want to revert back from custom Rom to MIUI Rom than you have to clean flash MIUI Rom via EDL mode. Hope this helps you. Do let me know if you need any help.

i always clean flash miui roms via fastboot. And as for the custom roms, i flash the firmwares too. Dont know whats the issue

Hi Friends I am new to this redmi note 4 I need small help from your end guys
Problem
I purchased a new redmi note 4 with MIUI 8.5.8.0 (snapdragon) on mid of last month and 5 days before I unlocked the bootloader and flashed Latest TWRP (official) and I tried few custom roms that are available in our forums but the problem is when I am at first boot VoLTE works if I do a reboot VoLTE icon gone and VoLTE fails to work. I tried to flash CM14.1 firmwork + custom rom + gapps but the problem is same
*so I decided to flash stock rom using Mi flash tool in this case VoLTE works
*tried all MIUI custom roms like ( global stable, global dev, mi-globe rom, indonetia MIUIpro rom, multi rom) VoLTE works in all this MIUI roms without any issues
*but when i flash any custom roms like (RR, AICP, CrDroid,AOSP EXT, linage14.1, xenonHD, viper os etc) volte fail to work
*I flashed each and every custom rom with CM14.1 firmwork + rom+ gapps & w/o cm14.1 firmwork also but no VoLTE
please guys help me from this issue

I dunno why, it's seems fine to me. Am running unofficial RR build by Alexis.
Did you try flashing firmware?

Go to settings- apps
Select the settings application
Clear cache
Restart
It worked for me on AOSP 7.1.2

Looks like it, Volte doesn't works if you're on Roaming. I read this several times on different Roms threads. It is bug I guess.

@sachin n i am running rr by alexey too . I too have a roaming sim @Annabathina . My service provider is jio . I too had no volte issue when i Flashed the rr rom but then just adding a new apn with "bearer as LTE " solved the issue . Just reboot once after changing apn .

steps
1. Go to settings > sim cards > jio settings > preferred nework type and set it to LTE
2. Go to settings > sim cards > jio settings > Access point name ( APN) and creat a new APN as LTE
3. set that LTE APN as default

I have tried to flash every single rom in my oneplus x device but it does not supporting any one of them.....only cm14.0 and paranoid is supported by device. ....as cm14.0 has many bugs and its g apps are not working/installing ....and paranoid OS and g apps are successfully flashed but device is not starting up.. .it is just showing oneplus logo...
I didnt have any backup. ..

Almost every ROM you'll find now needs the updated bootloader to work. Install the stock OOS 2 (Lollipop) rom from Oneplus, you can download it from their site, and then update to OOS 3 and it will update the bootloader. Then you can unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and try other ROMS.

then paste the firmware and mddb folders of your stock marshmallow to the rom and flash it.
On blu vivo 5:
To get sim cards working delete these folders from the patch, inside system/:
etc/firmware/
etc/mddb/
then paste the firmware and mddb folders of your stock marshmallow rom to the patch and flash it.

When I try to flash this room via twrp, I keep getting error 7 and the rom won't install, I might be making a dumb mistake but I'm pretty positive I did it properly. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. Also I'm using Blu vivo 5r.
update: i managed to get the rom working on the 5r, but i have an issue, the imeis are blank and i have no way of fixing that, anyone have any ideas?

I mentioned how to fix that in the top , did you read the whole thread ? ( you need to delete etc/mddb and etc/firmware folders in lineage 14.1 , and paste the folder from your stock rom, this way you will fix simcards / imei)

Yeah, I did that, my problem fixed once I flashed the stock rom then reflashed the lineage os rom

I don't know if this happens in the other ROMs, but in WhatsApp, I can't listen any audio using the main speaker, I have to use the call speaker.

Complaint: I do not want Gapps in my Rom. I flashed LineageOS Nougat. It booted up and came with GApps. I didn't want that. And LineageOS is supposed to offer Gapps as an External build! How do I remove GApps from the Rom, I'll Reflash if I have too.

I found the AOSP Keyboard from my older Rom of LineageOS, but it wouldn't start. Even as installed as a System APK. Apparently, when I ran the remove Gapps script, it removed the Google Keyboard. The AOSP Keyboard was never installed. When I tried to use it, it would Crash, and close immediately.
Also, the Music App crashes, and I can't seem to start Bluetooth at all.
Update: Removing the copy of "Eleven" from the System Partition, and installing the version that Comes from F-Droid Seems to fix the problem. Eleven now works.
To get a working on Screen Keyboard, I have to use the AnySoft Keyboard.
I still can't seem to get Bluetooth working.
After a Re-flash:
I got AOSP Keyboard working.
I think the removing Gapps script screws up a needed dependency for AOSP Keyboard. I instead just removed the App using App Mover. No issues.
Bluetooth Sort of works but sounds TERRIBLE. Is there a way I can flash the drivers from the AOSP Extended Rom into this one?
My blue 5r has the stock Nougat ROM, do I need to downgrade to marshmallow in order to get Lineage is?
Hello friends,i hope you all have a ( flashable ) day .
my device is redmi note 9s ,bootloader is open ,
firmware was MIUI 12.5.5 indian version android 11
i flashed TWRP and installed crdroid android 13 ,, after that i noticed my device got many problems :
1- mini lag ( about .25secend )
2- when try to call someone i always got ( call ended )
3- when someone try to call me my phone ring for just a second then it ends call itself
4- when playing video/audio the speaker work 2 seconds and not work the same period
.............
i tried to :
1- install another rom MIUI ( the first ) using TWRP i got the same problems in addition to rebooting after 3 minutes when screen off
2- install MIUI razer edition i got logo boot loop
3- install reserrection remix using orange fox i got the same problems
......................
any suggestion / help ,please
If this is your daily driver I would suggest you to take a backup and flash stock miui and relock the bootloader as now they have updated to android 12 and miui is the safest you could go.
Otherwise I would say just look for different custom roms and see the replies then flash the one that seems most promising, also I would say use official stable builds with developers actively working on them rather than unofficial forgotten builds.

i flashed fastboot firmware MIUI 12.5.1 global version and it solved all problems
