Help needed upgrading Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S4 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, over the past couple of weeks I've been desperately trying to update my firmware which has been stuck on Android 4.2.2 for I don't know how long. Everytime I try to update the software using the software update on the phone it tells me that the latest updates have already been installed.. Also when I try to use Kies on my computer it's the same story.
I have looked for updates through the official samsung website but there appears to be no newer firmware versions for my specific model..it's as if they stopped making updates for it.. I think my only alternative is to root the phone. Anyone got any ideas ?
My phone details are as follows:
AP: I9505XXUDMH6
CP: I9505XXUAMDC
CSC: I950502IDMH2

Galaxy S2 Update Question

I have a GS2 on T-Mobile and cannot seem to update. I deleted the original Kies that was on the phone as I thought I did not need it and installed Kies Air but cannot seem to do any updates now. Tried OTA updates and it just says Connection failed.
Anyone got any ideas.
Phone currently reads;
Android Version: 2.3.3
Baseband: I9100BOGKG1
BUILD: GINGERBREAD.BOKG2
update manually...easy
Is there anyway of finding out if my firmware is the latest for tmobile?
A ask TMobile
B search for CheckFus on xda .

[Q] No update available

Hi guys,
I have a question, maybe is stupid, but I have searched on the net and I could not find anything to clarify my question.
My Android version is I9100XWKI4 / I9100XXKI1 / I9100DBTKH1. So a ROM (2.3.4) from Germany.
When I try to update the ROM to 2.3.6 via Kies I get always the message "No update available".
Do you have any ideea why Kies doesn't find the newest version for my phone?
thanks
Try Check Fus. Google it for info.

You have the newest version for your phone note your phone or the codes on the phone do not match any on KIES server due to flashing .
Its your phone provider that updates the firmware to KIES as and if they want and some are well behind the later releases and unlikely to update further until soon expected release of ICS ..

[Q] Samsung Kies Not Opening The Mobile Installed With Other Country Firmware

Recently i rooted my phone from official Indian 4.0.4 Firmware to Rooted 4.0.4 Firmware.
After some days i tried to Un-Root My S2 to Stock Firmware but couldn't get Indian Firmware so I downloaded another official firmware(Dont know which country) From internet and using Odin i set back to 4.0.4 which is also an official firmware but not India's given official firware.
Now my problem is when i connected to Samsung Kies it is showing connecting but after waiting for several minutes it is not connecting and displaying a note like "Samsung Galaxy S2 connecting failed".
Before the rooting of the device it used to connect directly without much worry and i also know the basic settings of connecting mobile to kies .
Now i am thinking that If the firware of some other country was installed in the mobile may also stops connecting to Kies ???
If so,
I wanted to get the latest rolling out 4.1.2 Jelly bean firmware through kies but i am unable to connect to the kies
Please Help Me,
The Details of the official firmware(Downloaded From Internet & Not Indian Officially Given Firmware) are in the Screen Shot Attached to this Thread....
if you can aslo help me with the official indian 4.0.4 firmware given on kies
Go to sammobile.

What you mean "not officially"? You mean via Odin/Mobile Odin?
Re-install Kies.
No custom kernel right?

Hi friends I own Galaxy s 2 i9100....I got it from UK 3 mobile.. After coming to India I have flashed it with a ROM which is unlocked version as its is locked to 3 network...after the flashing I connected it to kies for backup and found the same message as others in this thread mentioned...so I tried reflashing it with a ROM that is compatible with Indian version and got the issue solved ...I am providing the details of the rom now I am using
PDA: I9100XWLQ2
phnoe: I9100DDLPC
CSC: I9100ODDLPD
BUILD info: Fri oct 26 16:04:15 KST 2012
But recently KIES software in my laptop got updated and when I connected my S2 it stated that my phone is not compatible to update from KIES. But, the same day when I connected wifi in my phone I got a message that an update is available and its done successfully.
Now can any body help me to get that issue sorted out when connected to KIES as it accepted before and now why it is not accepting ??
Thanks in Advance
This is all about csc codes and roms/firmwares from specific regions. csc changer from play store will fix most of the problems for you although root access is required in jelly bean. change the csc to your country and if all the planets are aligned in the third 1/4 of Aries your up and running..
However why the bloody hell you would want to use kies for anything other than backing your stuff up is completely beyond thinking about its the worst bloody piece of bloat you can install on your pc. Use odin you can flash any rom from any country you like its makes little difference as to weather your phone works in your country or not. HAPPY FLASHING.
@#1 If you really want too and jelly bean is available in your country install that via odin and that should also fix your problem.

[Q] Android Firmware Help

I own a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active GT-I9295 (international version) and I recently unrooted my device so I can update my OS. I try to update my OS as I'm currently running 4.2.2 but when I check for updates it notifies me saying "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available" and looking at the status of my phone, it says its "custom".
I want to be able to fix this and update to KitKat but I don't know where to start or what firware to choose. When searching the database on SamMobile, I came across this ( sammobile.com/firmwares/download/34604/I9295XXUCNH2_I9295BTUCNH1_BTU.zip/ ) but its the UK version (I live in the USA). Does it matter what country I select for the firmware? Do I need to match the PDA, CSC, or MODEM codes to my existing phone/firmware of that from the link? Will this brick my device or am I clear to apply this using Odin? Sorry for probably the very basic questions but Im very new to these kind of things.
