Gear s live demo unit - Samsung Gear S

Hi guys I've been offered one of these , can I flash a stock firmware and gain all functionality apart from 3g? So basically I would end up with Bluetooth/WiFi gear s.
Any thoughts appreciated.

How to setup AT&T?

Hello I will be receiving S3 tomorrow and I just wanted ask how to setup with AT&T. I have set it up before on my Galaxy Note N7000, is it pretty much the same way except for needing microSIM?

Yes, should be the same. When I got mine a few weeks ago i cut by SIM card down to micro size and put it in the phone. All data settings were automatically detected.

What kind of setup? I just popped in my sim and everything worked fine. I am running the unlocked, unbranded international version.
Cool thank you very much!
By the way do you guys have LTE plans? On Gnote I have LTE unlimited so I could take advantage of 5gb cap before throttle and visual voicemail. Have you guys set the visual voicemail as well? I hope it works the same as on gnote.

I have the international version so I don't have an LTE plan, I rarely hit my caps anyway as I am on wifi in the office and at home. As for visual voicemail, I use google voice so I wouldn't know.
Thanks again

[Q] Any Real Differences W/ Verizon Note 2?

What are the real differences w/ Verizon Note 2 vs to other Note 2 versions? And I am not talking about stickers. What is the differences in hardware, software and overall experience? And are they giving multitasking out the door? Etc...

Anything right now about this is just pure speculation.
Right now it is thought they are pretty much identical to Sprint / AT&T models, except for maybe multi-window feature. It seems like there are updates that have been rolled out/will soon be available by carrier and a modified ROM that is supposedly going to be released on XDA that has the feature.
only known difference is home button branding on verizon only.
tmobile and att have wireless charging contacts exposed on back panel
sprint does not

I thought the leads on the Sprint version were covered up by something.
There are some different pre-installed apps on the various carrier branded versions. Hardware is the same as far as I know, minus possibly the battery. I think carriers may also offer slightly different color variations as well, similar to the SGS3. For the most part though, Samsung has stopped making 400 different configurations of one phone and are making one phone and just changing the software around for the various carriers instead.
I'm curious if the Verizon version will be quad-core.

There's no need to be curious. It is quad-core.
Hardware will only be different in color/branding, and any changes to the radio chips/firmware so they work with VZWs network. Other than that, all devices should be the same from a hardware standpoint. Software is where most of the differences will be, but most of the stuff should be the same as well, with only a handful of carrier specific apps being different.
Verizon says the the note doesn't have nfc does anyone know if that is true?

Where?
If it is a rep I wouldn't read too much Ito what they say. Without NFC that means no sbeam which seems unlikely

Are you referring to the website comparison? If so, Verizon already said that was a mistake. I second the sbeam logic.

Samsung Music Hub is part of the features of Samsung Galaxy Note II (Verizon) Check out Samsung support site for Verizon version. The site doesn't mention NFC, but Samsung's support page for T-Mobile's Note 2 doesn't show NFC either even when that device has NFC. The NFC is part of Samsung Music Hub so you can "beam" music. So I take that Samsung Galaxy Note II (Verizon) as having NFC. And yes, the support site does confirm the S Beam.
agree gaminish
I think it does not matter much

While it won't stop me from purchasing the phone, I have used NFC on my GNex like crazy. I love Gwallet and being to bump stuff over to my Nexus 7 and back. So for me, it matters a little bit
NFC is there on Verizon version. And there is a hack that gets Google Wallet installed into Galaxy Note 2 and running.
The main question is "When can our community find a way for us to get around the bootloader locked?", so we can root these babies.

Even if the bootloader is locked we should be able to get root.

I have strong confidence in the dev community to get root on Verizon's version without much delay.

I'm with you on that. There are alot of great devs out there! I'm sure root will be obtained very soon after release. The bootloader, however, will be a different beast...

[Q] SPRINT NOTE 3 unlocking,rooting and experience advice,PLEASE !!!

Hello guys
I'm from Europe, but I'm planning to get Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 from USA.I have been reading a little bit on the forum on USA models. My friend can get me NOTE 3 from SPRINT carrier, for not much money..It has unlocked boot loader, not too late updates and I can use it here in Europe with European SIM card(I think). Other carriers have NOTE 3 (like VERIZON and AT&T) but with locked boot loader, and from I have read,VERIZON makes updates last on their phones....
Can you please tell me your personal experience with SPRINT'S version of NOTE 3,so I can decide whether to get it or look elsewhere?
And if you are asking why do I want to buy SAMSUNG NOTE 3 from USA and not from Europe, the answer is because I have someone over there ,who can get it much cheaper for me.
Is there a way to unlock the phone for free here on the forum and easily root it in some safe way?
And will it work on European frequencies including 3G and 4G ?
Thank you in advance
I'm pretty sure you can't just insert a European SIM card into it. It won't work. Can someone confirm this?

Sprint has to unlock it and it has to be on a sprint account for 90 days before they will
Sent from my SM-N900P using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
So then, maybe it is better to go with T-MOBILE's NOTE 3,instead of Sprint. If there is no possibility of unlocking the phone e.t.c..maybe then I will have problem with frequencies here in Europe as well....

If I were to buy the US Version of the SGP771 can I flash it to the international version with the aim of having phone dialer enabled on it ?
If so, anyone have the step by step links to perform this task? Anyone flashed a USA version ?

It is long time now but someone else may need.
USA Version also has phone dialer app already.
Anyway, you can flash it to a different region by using flashtool.

Is the Samsung Galaxy s9 plus have 5 G capabilities

Are does it need to receive p update in order to have 5 G capabilities. Thanks
Googled the question, here is the basic answer.......The existing phones cannot support 5G as it is new Radio Access Technology. So you require a new modem which should support*this. Be aware that no existing smartphones can support 5G.*

I got that as well but T-Mobile told me that the s9 plus had the software to handle 5G technology that why I asked the question because I was not sure. Thanks

They meant 5GE maybe, which is really just 4G LTE with updated software, another way to scam people who don't do research before buying. It's good that you asked.
