I have a new Redmi Note 2 Prime.
I installed 2 SIM card but slot number 2 does not detect the SIM.
Both SIM cards are working great on other phones.
I also tried other operators SIM card.
I am using the latest xiaomi.eu rom:

I am trying to find an answer if it is an OS related issue nor Hardware issue.

have you tried wiping cache or restoring (wiping) the phone completely?
I trying to find an answer if this phone is dual 3G/4G active, in my Honor 7 for example, only one sim slot is 4G active and the second is GSM, so if you are using a provider that is using only 3G/4g technology on both sim cards, the sec sim card won't work, you have to switch between them. Maybe same case here?

Does it realy not detect the second sim? Or shows it just no signal?
I've 2 sims inserted, same carrier. Both are working, but only sim2-signal seems to work.
sim1 seems to have no signal but works well.
Maybe a Bug in 6.1.7. ???

I have installed the MultiSIM Toggle on stock ROM, but getting error, so I jumped to CM 12.1 and getting no error but same as stock rom, only one sim works at the same time.
Can you please recommend a ROM, that works well with this app? Many thanks!

My cards work in 3g/4g mode only, so if one slot is 3g/4g the other is 2g/GSM they wont work at the same time, have to switch between them, or deactivate one in order to use the other one, this is bad...

purchased MDK S4 without activated sim card in phone from radio shack, rooted, placed SIM card in phone and activated automatically. rooted with tool succesfuly with root checker... flashed with Bonestock1.3 twice ... re-flashed modem, stock kernal, tried multiple messaging apps ...everything else on phone works perfectly, i can receive texts, but it will NOT send texts. says failed to send. my SD card is formatted Fat32? does it need ex Fat if MDK?. could clerk at radio shack not activated SIM card properly ... phone not activated properly when card inserted into rooted phone?.. searched forums already. please help. thnx

Have you checked to make sure everything is kosher in settings>>more>>APN and mobile networks? Make sure you have it on LTE/CDMA and the APN settings are correct,,,,reboot into recovery wipe cache/dalvik afterwards fix permissions and reboot

hello, i checked settings and it was on Global, so i changed it to LTE/CDMA, also APN - LTE - Verizon internet VZWINTERNET (with a green dot) .. rebooted cleared both caches, fix permission, etc...when u say "fix permissions", is that in ROM Manager or in CWMR recovery? i did it in RM ... i did that 3 times and each time i was able to send one text, then it fails after that ...im headed there but still not fixed ..any other suggestions? thnx

I would call Verizon tech support and have them send a signal to your phone/sim card to make sure its sending and receiving properly

problem solved!!: i called verizon support. level 2 tech support reset messaging plan because somehow between new and old phone send message had been checked on ... reboot phone and works ...thnx

I am absolutely in favor with the custom rom of Dragon!
Now I got a 2nd SIM and tried to use it in a Dual SIM adapter with the current ROM Fusion 4.3.1.r2.2 using CyanogenMod 10.2-20131020-UNOFFICIAL-i9300.
Even the app SIM TOOLKIT shows up in settings->apps->all it doesn't in the apps-menu.
Is there any way to make STK work for Dual SIMs in Fusion/CyanogenMod?

Many are reporting you must enable the SIM Pin Lock (not phone pin lock). I further had to uninstall the updates for Sim ToolKit in Settings >> Apps >> All >> Sim Toolkit
Sim card is read , sim tool kit working , but no service.
I tried another sim card with a different network carrier it worked with zero errors.
only specific sim card is not working , it works for only 5 seconds and then no service.
I am on at&t stock gingerbread rom , could anyone help me please

Maybe check your APN settings, perhaps they need to be updated. If you're having trouble with a specific carrier card, but a different carrier card works, I would start there. It's an extremely quick and easy fix if that truly is the problem.
Do a quick search around here; there are many threads dedicated (or have info) to new and different APN's.

Hello guys everyone were worried about the data issue in cm11 so here I am with the fix for that
Please not I am not at all responsible for any damage to device Please be careful
Bug:
No data connection even after installing the fix
It works for some people that too only 3G
Fix: First install the data fix if you haven't Installed
Open dialer and type *#*#4636#*#*
Open the phone information
And In network mode change it to GSM only if you are in 2G network and when you want to use 3G set it to WCDMA only
And voila data will be working fine
TIP: when you want to use 3g in sim1 and it is using 2g then change the sim slot and in second sim slot you will get forced 3g(only 3g works) and when switching back to stock you will always find the option to set the preferred type . so you can enjoy data both on CM11 and stock without and issues

Data works only in sim 1, while opting for data in sim 2 the error shown is 'error in subscription...' Any fix for that ? Indian variant.

Do one thing remove SIM 1 and dial the code set it as GSM only and then insert back sim1 and check it should be working. Since it won't support both 3g (which is set by default)

May i know which rom have the function to deactivate one sim in dual sim mode.
Well there are variety of reasons to have the toggle because :
- Save battery( Esp when one knows that they are moving to a non serviceable area)
- Be offline on that SIM (all dont want to be reachable always)
- Privacy (by switching SIM off)
I'd tried the strix cm13 and i cant deactivate one sim. Is either both sim deactivate or both on in cm13 .
Updated: Cm12, Aosp 5.1.1 and Miui have the function to deactivate one sim card in dual sim mode.
Would like to find Is there an AOSP 6.0 rom have the sim deactivate function. All Cyanogenmod based rom starting cm13 and above ignore the importance battery saving feature.
