Hello guys, I have a weird issue
Few weeks ago I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP, rooted, flashed a kernel, etc. All went fine. Today I tried to flash an updated TWRP via fastboot and it tells me the bootloader is locked! I've seen some people with the same problem, can anybody help!?
Thanks in advance :good:
nobody faced the same issue? In other forum someone had the same problem and had to unlock again the bootloader after flashing back the stock recovery but, what causes the issue of the bootloader re-locked out of nowhere, when TWRP, root... everything is working just fine?
Just unlock it again? also it's way easier to flash recoverys with Flashify
unlocking it again will wipe my data, and also it's not sure it will re-lock itself again. I would like to be able to use fastboot in case I have to flash sth using it

I had my bootloader unlocked and s-off. Long story short, I soft bricked my phone because I was having issues flashing CM11 (don't ask...you can if you want) and had to re-lock the bootloader to flash an RUU to get the phone functioning again.
I am still S-off, but when I went to flash a custom recovery (TWRP), I keep getting errors.
Do I need to "Re-Unlock" my bootloader to install a TWRP and flash the CM11 ROM?
If I do, how do I "Re-Unlock"?
If I don't, how can I flash a custom recovery and CM11 with a Re-Locked bootloader and S-Off?
I did search, but couldn't find a definitive answer...
Thanks in advance for your expertise.
You need a unlocked bootloader to flash a custom recovery. I suggest using the script found here.

Hey guys,
I installed last time the unencrypted boot.img to speed things up and yesterday I tried to flash to factory 5.1, but I believe I flashed all images like system, cache, recovery, vendor, but I may have messed up with boot and bootloader. I think I only flashed bootloader and forgot to flash boot, after reboot the device get in a loop, and I can't unlock the bootloader to push the boot.img
Is there a way to push the boot/bootloader.img without needing to unlock the bootloader?

Not if you relocked your bootloader. Time to start the warranty exchange/repair process.

Hi,
I have unlocked my bootloader officially through the unlock tool and wanted to flash a custom recovery and also root my device (Redmi Note 3 - Snapdragon).
I was on Global Dev (6.5.19) before I even started to unlock my bootloader.
After unlock, I was succesffuly able to flash Cofface TWRP recovery through fastboot (well the command prompt didn't throw up any errors and had a success message).
However, when i reboot into recovery (either through button combination or "adb reboot recovery", I just get a screen that shows an image of a phone and USB cable" (similar to the image on the official bootloader unlock tool.
I checked whether the bootloader was unlocked (fastboot oem device-info) and it was indeed unlocked.
I have factory reset and reflashed 6.5.19 (Global dev rom) with MiFlash and this hasn't made any difference.
I also relocked the bootloader with MiFlash Beta and then unlocked successfully with the official unlock tool.
All of these steps still haven't made a difference.
Can someone please advise on the next step to do (as unlocked bootloader is pretty useless if I can't install a custom recovery).
P.S. I also get the same phone and usb cable image when booting into stock recovery
find it weird problem
if you dont, then first just boot the recovery
code:- fastboot boot xxxrecovery.img where xxxrecovery replace your own recovery img name in fastboot folder.
you must success and see twrp recovery
then again transfer img to sdcard and to flash from recovery.
then flash it from recovery and when you reboot ,just swipe to diseable rom to replace it with stock one.
find it really weird ,i did it hundredths of time in my offi unlocked and every time goes fine flashing recovery from fastboot
Hit thanks if i helped
please follow this... it does help for me.

You can easily flash this one ZCX Twrp. Is the best i didn`t encountered any issue until now. I`ve flashed custom roms and miui roms as well.. The install process is very simple, follow this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/zcx-twrp-install-twrp-flash-supersu-t3462448

a week ago i wanted to unroot my device. i made a huge mistake and did it via an app instead pc...
now my device is locked but i have twrp and cant flash anything so i cant unlock my bootloader anymore...
pls help!
thank you
Unrooting your device doesn't lock the bootloader. Unless you went into developer options and toggeled OEM unlocking off.

To unlock BL, you need to permit it in the dev menu and run a fastboot commmand. Are you sure TWRP avoid you to do that?
I didn't see any option of OEM unlocking in Developer options and I flashed TWRP which didnt clear out after reboot. Does that mean the bootloader is already unlocked? and Im having problems with custom roms. Even after flashing the stock rom, I am facing random reboots and bootloops.
