[Q] Using Play Store without installing Google services

Hi all
Before that, I was on CM 10.2 and GAPPS that comes with it, I was able to use the market even though I uninstalled the Google services apk, everything worked just fine.
Maps sometimes said somethin' like "best experience with google services", but it actually did work smoothy...
Now I installed CM11 with new GAPPS, and when I disable Google services, then Play store tells me that it can't run without it, and just closes without letting me download any app.
Is there any way do bypass this check ?
I fight any app running as a service when it's not needed (battery life, data consumsion, privacy), that's why I don't want to have the Google services on my phone.
Thanks for sharing your experience
Tried some search on the forum and on google but no chance, am I the only one to care about that !?
Just trying to get my message up again...
Hey, I think I've discovered a way to do this. it DOES require google play services to be installed, but you can freeze google play services completely once you install it.
Open terminal emulator and enter this command
Code:
pm disable com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.recovery.RecoveryService
and then I think it should let you use the play store.
to undo this in case anything bad happens, just enter
Code:
pm enable com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.recovery.RecoveryService
Edit: Never mind. This will let you open the Play Store, but you will not be able to download apps.

Google Play does't install apps

Hi, I have a problem: Google Play Store apps which I try to download stop at 100%, when they should start installing. I have storage and Google Play Store is upgraded. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Can you install Play store APK's on a device without GAPPS?

I've been running into an integrity issue with Google auto updating Google Chrome on my device without my consent.
Maybe I'm getting to the tin hat stage but if this is what Google wants to do this I won't use GAAPS any longer.
My question is if I save APK's for apps that are normally in the play store and wish to install them without going through the Play store will the apps install on Cyanogen?
Am I creating an integrity issue installing apps from Play store without using it?

Google Play Protect active?

Hey Guys,
I need your knowledge.
First my setup. I use MicroG together with Play Store.
It works but in newer Version of the play store i have a new section in the app list with Google Play Protect.
But i don't want that Google scans all my apps and i'm not sure whether Play Protect is activ on my device.
Or thinks the Play Store only that Protect runs because of MicroG?
And if so is there a working way to pretend the Play Store from self updating?
Edit: In the meantime i found a work around. So Thread can be closed/deleted.

Downsides to Installing Google Play?

I am going to be buying an android TV device thats ROM that does not have google play store and i will just install it my self.
I am wondering is there any downsides to this. Will i still be able to download and install all the apps from play store or is there any limitations at all?
Google Play Store simply is a market place for Android apps. To successfully run the Google Play Store app it's required some more Google services ( e.g. Google Play Services, Google Services Framework ) get additionally installed. Many people don't want this.
It's on you.

Thank you.
So play store does not check if your device is supported/official it just lets you download and use any app as long as you meet the requirements of the app.
Google Play Store doesn't care what Android version is installed on a device: they want to earn money from the apps they offer.
