How do I reflash a stock ROM via custom recovery (TWRP) onto my phone?
Reason being I want to keep my apps and data intact while resetting the system files only.
I'm able to download the stock firmware from Sammobile but they are Odin-flashable files. I don't think they'd work with TWRP - or would they?
Model : i9205 LTE
OS : 4.2.2 (Don't intend to upgrade - not entirely my phone)

Hello, is there a way to dump the firmware you have on your i9100?
I want a full rollback on my phone and my wife have the same phone but with stock firmware.
(I running a Root KF3)
So, is it possible to dump her firmware and install it on my phone?
OR, is it possible to do an emergency firmware download via a Samsung program or something that will get me back to stock?
Flash cwm recovery, take backup, restore. But then you need to flash stock recovery.. If you are running an easily obtainable fw, why don't you just flash that? SamFirmware had must versions, same here.
I want to grab some software off a stock galaxy ace from the same provider as mine. However, before I root it and install CWM, I want a way to revert it to Android system recovery <3e>. Obviously, I cannot back up the stock phone, it's unrooted and has no CWM recovery backup yet, and once I install CWM, it won't have the stock recovery anymore. Any way to get the stock system recovery?

There's no flashable zip or whatever .
All you need to do is to flash any firmware via ODIN

If u flash any stock rom ,u will get your stock recovery back =D
Where can I get a stock rom for the device, though? I can't take a backup to make my own without CWM...I assume I could learn to use Odin with a tutorial somewhere, but Odin can't take a backup, can it?
sammobile.com
Nice site. I don't suppose the Europe or Asia firmwares will work in North America, though? (Canada).
Hi,
I need to send my phone (Galaxy sII) for warranty and I need to install the factory rom. I'll do that, but i've heard that I also have to install original recovery mode (now i'm running clockworkmod).
Does restoring original rom with odin also restores the original recovery mode or do I have to do it anyway? If so - how?
Original rom will restore the stock recovery
But u should first ..triangle away to reset the binary counter..
Then flash stock rom
Yeah I did that. It shows 0 now. Thanks.
I have D/L a few stock recovery .img files with different file sizes.
Q: Are all TMO stock recovery images same?
I have 4.3 sense 5.0 latest firmware and would like the kitkat OTA.
Q: What stock recovery .img do I need to flash and where may I get it?
Thanks.
Oh this is for USA country code..NEW YORK.
I am rooted using the TWRP recovery.. latest 3.3
Thanks.
Whenever I have had need to swap back over to the stock recovery (such as the KK upgrade, which I'm just getting finished up right now) I've always used the stock recovery image from the zip file that Behold_this puts together in his thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355814
I think it's been updated now to include the KK firmware, so you may or may not want to download the previous version. If you are curious, the size of the recovery.img that I have is 11.6MB (12,245,248 bytes).
so i thought i was doing something right by wiping the system partion in twrp before flashing LiteRom, so now the android folder is missing and the phone wont boot past samsung logo. is there any way i can just cope over the stock files/folders for the s3?
Download the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com and flash with Odin.
Flash the latest stock firmware via odin on pc, root it etc, flash the custom rom straight over the top via custom recovery. Never erase anything as it isn't necessary. Any issues just flash the stock firmware via odin and start again.
