The case thread got me thinking about tempered glass screen protectors and I wondered what folks where grabbing in preparation for the phone's launch.
I've had friends use Nillkin with no problems so that's what I bought, but this phone is a lot of firsts for me so I'm sure there will be some lessons involved

Ordered this OMOTON for wife, but have not installed. Does it have a protector already on it or not? Wife said she didn't feel one or any edge?

I just peeled the thin screen protector off and installed the OMOTON protecter. You have to gently use fingernail and peel uo from bottom. I think it was nice of Honor to put something on screen but theirs is more to prevent scratch where hopefully this thicker one will help with a drop also.
It was pretty easy to install and push air bubbles out to make it look natural.
Installed this on two phones last night. Man it is so much better. Amazing difference.
I bought the Sparin 9H Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector. And this thing is crazy. i can hardly even feel it on the phone but it is extremely strong.
I pre-ordered my honor 5X from Amazon and at that time they didn't carry this on Prime.

Thanks. I didn't see his pics. I went to the Amazon link. They need to add his pics to their item for sale. lol
The factory installed screen protector is really bad for oily finger prints. I took it off and the naked glass is better not nearly as bad as the screen protector.
I compared the glass on the 5x to the glass on my Moto X 2014 and they look exactly the same as far as oily finger prints. Now my daughter has a Blu Vivo 5 and that screen is amazing hardly pics up any greasy
prints at all.
I ordered the Omoton glass and have not installed it yet, but the Nillkin does look better as it has individual cutouts for the camera and speaker.
So the Omoton did not fit well? did it just not go all the way to the edges? maybe I will order the Nillkin as well , it's only 9 bucks
Should have picked up the one for the camera lens. It scratched and cracked with a case on it...:crying:

I got the one from spigen on amazon. It comes with 2 in the pack, it fits perfectly and not a lot of fingerprints.

I want to buy screen protectors (for both front and back panel). Which is better plastic or tempered glass? What experiences have you got with them? And what manufacturers do you recommend? I want a screen protector that hasn't got large cuts around the camera, just a circle for the camera and another for the flash, and on the front also just a circle for the camera and another for the sensors.
I have the this Glass-M tempered protector. Both friend and back. Haven't had any issues with it for the last one year. The main advantage is that this is slim enough to work with the magnetic dock.

If u are using a case, i recommed you the Nillkin 9H tempered glass. Come with the regular plastic for protecting the back and the camera lens. Why? If u are a case user, i dont think tempered glass back will fit ur case.
Honestly, they're all the same, I burnt through the lot of them, Nilkin, Pthink, Hero. They're all the same, I see no difference in quality and durability. I think the Pthink was most resistant to fingerprints, but not by much

I don't use a case so, I don't like them
I prefer pthink and it does fit the tpu case that I use at work.

I prefer matte/anti-glare screen protectors. Main reason, on glass and glossy plastic surfaces, after using for a while (15-20 minutes), my fingers start to "stick" to the glass. Not really stick, per se, but they don't glide as easily and I have to switch to a different finger. With a matte protector, I never have this issue. Also, they help cut down on reflections. There are draw backs of course. It makes the screen hard to see outdoors (but I rarely use my phone outdoors) and it does reduce brightness a little (but I don't really go over 30% or so when indoors anyway). And they do introduce a touch of graininess.
The best ones I have found are iLLumiShield and Anker. Though the Anker is the best I have used, it is not available on the Z2. I have tried many other matte films, but they all introduce too much graininess. And some affect touch response.

i bought the same tempered glass, no problem at all.
The camera has it's own cut and the back fits as it should..ask for a refund or a resend..
Over a year has passed since the Note PRO came out. Which is the best screen protector as of today? Has any of you used the Anoke Tempered Glass Screen Protectors 9h hardness, 2.5d Rounded Edges, 0.3mm Thickness? It seems to have received very good overall reviews.
I am still using a plastic-like screen protector from Samsung. I got it as a gift from an electronics store. The problem with it is that it is a finger print magnet. Also, as I use the device as a phone, it is easy to see lots of saliva droplets as I talk to the screen sometimes.

I wont recommend a tempered glass as the extra thickness will interfere with the S-pen

I used a tempered glass that i bought from aliexpress for 4.4 USD
It is good but finger prints are there too
I applied it for protection only
There are no problems with the spen as far as i know
I was going to post the link but the item is already removed
Still perfectly satisfied with my Mime tempered glass screen protector. I have no significant issue with pen use. The only issue is the gap around the bezel but I don't care one iota about that.

im using the MOFI full screen tempered glass screen protector with the factory case without issue.... just too bad the MOFi looks like a oild slick in the middle of the screen otherwise it would be perfect

For the tempered glass, i bought a Force Glass ($$$) which is really nice to touch without fingers trails, but finally it's ****. Like all the S8/S9 (not dome glass) it's only glued with the edges and not very well, so it'll become dirty fast . And if you look at it under a bright sun you don't see anything.
I don't recommend to buy this "way too expansive" Force glass! I regret it! 2$ glass will do a better job.

Cheap tempered glass + clear case (Huawei case)
I used the clear case which came with the phone as for tempered glass I used a cheap (£1.99) from eBay.
The tempered glass covers the screen almost perfect. It isn't edge to edge, but it is wide as the screen.
The glass hasn't got a good oleophobic coating, but is better than the plastic one and has adhesive on entire surface. (i would add a photo but I've got no clue how?

I've applied Zabra tempered glass (Amazon purchase) without any bubbles but after applying the Huawei clear case, edges came out, disabling my screen touch features.
Highly not recommended to buy this "Zabra full glue 9H tempered glass screen protector"
On of the best tempered glass for P20 PRO is Nillkin the hall series..

I bought the Spigen Slim Armor case ( £15 ) and Spigen Tempered Glass ( about £8 ) and am very happy with both. I moved from Otterbox a few years ago when I couldn't see a decent case that I liked. I've had 4 Spigen cases for various phones so far and have never been let down to date

It looks like there are not much good options for this phone (compared to my last one), I have ordered the spigen ultra hybrid (transparent) & tempered glass combo.

Do some regions not get an included case? I just bought this device yesterday in Canada and there was no case with it.
Spigen crystal clear case and Nillkin Amazing H+ for tempered screen. Trust me, this glass protector is the only one I have found to not retain fingerprints and to stick perfectly and evenly on the 20 pro. If you correctly align it with the edges of the screen, there will be no air pocket whatsoever. It's impressive.
Anybody know the brand of this screen protector and where I can get one? I'm most interested because, well, it's full screen and not just adhesive around the edge. But also the guy mentioned it works with the case I'm going to be using ( UAG ) .

I ordered a pack of 6 film protectors when the arrived their quite stiff easy to apply but don't cover the whoe of the back, also got a pack of tempered glass camera lens protectors, so their covered, and I use a Huawei p20 pro car case and tempered glass front protector

I have this exact one. It's quite thick rubber around the edges, so feels quite strong.
It looks quite cheap though, and has a bit of Chinglish on the back - instead of "Tempered glass", they've written "Tempering glass"!!

i like IMAK screen protectors, they've always fit well on my previous phones.
Has anyone found a screen protector that covers the whole face without black bezels? I'm currently using this one from amazon but the bezels cover parts of the screen.

Yeah using I'm using it now. It's a matte one but they will probably do normal ones as well. Perfect fit
my mi mix 3 is 3 weeks in use and a have already few litle scratches.. ordered this one hope it helps top avoid further scratches

Every ESR glass has blue bumper, plastic frame. You put it on the assembly moment and the glass fits perfectly without the slightest problem. After assembly, you just take it off.
Edges are soft and overall quality of this glass is great in my opinion.

Does the glass have the speaker and led cutout like shown on the pictures because i'm using Nillkin Amazing H+Pro 9H 0.2mm 2.5D and these also show cutouts but in real life there are none. Does the black bezel cover a part of the amoled display?
