X-wave Xpad 3G-701 ROM - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Pls anybody apparently i have some adwares and trojans into my system apps like smsmanager, rstech_knile etc all system apps cant be disabled or removed, only flashing rom is option, but i cant find any rom for this model pls is any other simmilar model that i can use maybe there is some tablet that have same rom model or something like that. Thanks in advance for help.

Hi everyone,
I also have this device and I'm willing to report my case because I'm also in search of the proper ROM for this device which I recently messed up (hardbricked) by flashing wrong ROM.
I was recently struggling to remove the malware and viruses that were installed by some of the in-built applications coming with this device. Tablet became very unusable, especially when it was using any kind of internet connection which was exploited by malware applications showing me tons of the ads and pop-up windows on screen.
It was impossible to download and install any application using Google Play store because tablet end in glitches running malware software in background thus occupying nearly all available memory. The only thing that would help for a while was rebooting it again and disabling any kind of internet connection, uninstalling and disabling malware and infected apps.
This would release some RAM but not for long. After few minutes tablet gets unusable and sometimes reboots itself. Each reboot would refresh and re-install removed malware software and same story happens again.
Then I came to idea to try to wipe all data using recovery mode, but even this didn't help. System was infected in its core.
Then I tried installing KingRoot, Stubborn Trojan killer, Malwarebytes apps using Wondershare MobileGO PC application for managing Android devices over USB. I was able to install manually downloaded .apk files of these apps to the tablet. But running this applications or trying to regain ROOT status would reboot tablet again and again giving me no other chance except to try to flash its ROM.
The main mistake I've made is not making any kind of current device ROM backup using MTK droid tool or any other kind of tool. Because I'm not too much in Android world, I though I could flash it (using SP Flash tool) with "similar" ROM content coming from different device but I was VERY VERY wrong. Doing flash with wrong ROM instead of my device ROM (which I didn't backup), I've made my tablet hardbricked, infact it is 99,99% dead because it doesn't want to turn on and charge anymore!
Please don't mess up Your device like I did with mine!!! It turns out that you must have 100% compatible ROM image with your device!!! To be 100% sure about Your device specs, You must previously read all information like firmware, motherboard, CPU, etc... using any kind of software (if your device is still alive) OR open it and see what's under the hood of device and make notes about it. For HOW-TO flash Android device research the Youtube/forums/blogs/google...
Anyway, there might be some hope if someone notices posts in this thread. My tablet can be decteded on PC once it gets connected over USB cable. In Win7 (32bit), after installing MediaTek USB VCOM drivers, it is currently seen on MTK USB Port (COM7). But once connected on PC over USB cable, it gets connected and reconnected on every few seconds. I've read somewhere on forum that this is expected case, but not totally sure. I'm still wondering why tablet is not detected under DA USB VCOM Port or Preloader USB VCOM Port as expected for flashing purposes in SP Flash tool.
I've already tried to use few ROMs and flashed my device but I couldn't find proper ROM yet. XWAVE brand cannot be found among few popular Android ROM websites.
After hours of searching I've found a thread about XWAVE XPAD G3 701 on some Vietnamese forum. The link is (message me)
After registering on this forum, forum revealed a link to the rar file containg ROM backup for this device. I've tried to flash my device with this ROM using SP Flash tool but it was still unsuccessful.
No matter how much I tried, I keep getting these 2 error codes (google them), 4032 and/or 1042. I didn't know if I'm doing something wrong or this ROM seems incompatible to my device version, but flash process is stuck at first stage in SP Flash Tool "DOWNLOAD DA 100%" (red bar).
Then I decided to look under the hood of my tablet and I found that my tablet's firmware is not the same as one in the ROM I've downloaded. This is probably why I can't properly flash this tablet (or I'm still doing something wrong or my tablet is 100% dead). Since this tablet has non removable battery, I've tried to keep pressing Volume - (and other key combinations) while connecting device to PC and before flashing starts.
Anyway, If anyone can make/share 100% compatible ROM image to my device specs for me/other people to try to flash it, that would be great.
My devices specs under the hood are NEXT :

HOLDS NJ-N81S dead, help me find kernel modules

Hello everyone,
I have received a HOLDS NJ-N81S Spreadtrum SC6820 based android phone ( a Samsung Galaxy S4 Clone). During a failed root attempt via VROOT software, the phone no longer boots. I did howerver before even using VROOT make a copy of the local files via ftp, I do not have a real backup ROM etc.
I have been stiching FDL1/2 files and nvitem files from various other chinese phones to make a frankenstein ROM for my phone and have succeeded somewhat. The phone now boots correctly and I have sound and LCD screen is no longer grabbled.
My main roadblock is the touchscreen panel, I do not have the correct drivers for driving the panel, my original kernel modules are not compatible with my stiched ROM. I'm in need of help if anyone is able to assist me, I've attached below the original peripheral drivers before the failed VROOT app
Original drivers: www dropbox com / s / moj2upchd2x6xos / Spec_NJ-N81s-drivers.rar
the ko versions are: 2.6.35.7 mod_unload ARMv7
the version I need is:2.6.35.7 preempt mod_unload ARMv7
the touchpanel driver is the mxc622x.ko which is needed in order for the ft5206_ts.ko to work, flashing the ft5206_fw.bin to the chip I think isn't necessary as the focaltech panel controller chip wasn't touched.
Hello everyone, I have made some progress on the phone since I last posted the problem.
As I did not have a ROM backup of the phone before proceeding to ROOT it, I had to scavange the kernel modules to handle the display, touch, sound, and the modem around the net. I have succeeded in getting the phone to properly boot and touch is working. My first problem was the screen being flipped upside down, but I got around the problem by patching the build.prop to rotate 180.
The biggest problem I have right now is that I get a corrupt display everytime the phone wakes up from standby, I press the power button and the phone goes to standby fine, but I don't see an image when I wake i up again, I can hear the sound working, the touch still works etc. I need help fixing the problem I don't know if it's the MALI gfx that has trouble waking up or something else is at play here.

Unknown soft bricked MTK8382 7 inch tablet. I need help resuscitate it.

I found this bricked tablet, it's a generic chinese 7 inch tablet, it has the MTK8382 processor, single SIM, but I can't figure out anything else about it. Is there any kind of universal rom for these things? I tried to install some roms I found online for models with a similar shape but I ended up bricking it, now it just display lines on the display or a white screen when I turn it on, nothing else works. Should I just throw it away?
It's this generic model that can be found on alibaba if you want to buy in bulk and start your awful tablet company: http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/MTK8382-7-inch-alps-tablet-pc_60273334448.html
I managed to resuscitate it using a rom meant for a device called IKON 7 Tablet, also known as Royqueen MR706. I had flashed at least 20 roms for similar devices before I found this one. It works 100%, even the camera and the FM radio, so it must mean it's a clone of a clone of a clone with the same source hardware from the same crappy chinese factory. This rom is pretty decent too, moderately fast and only has a few crappy games preinstalled, no malware or weird stuff. It even comes with the google apps (still not giving it my google account), flash player, and office suite.
This is the info from MTK Droid Tools. Any other rom I can get for this device to make it a bit more useful?
Also, it seems like I lost the original IMEI of this device. Is there any way to recover it or give it a working IMEI?
I have the same tablet too!

Hi! I have the same tablet and in my case this ROM not worked.
My tablet is: Mediatek MT8312v. Was bricked, and I tried flash with ROM royqueen MR706D by rp_yonex (maybe you saw it out there) but not revived correctly... showed a IKON logo when it start but the display and touch function failed, the screen is misaligned or is seen as half, i don´t know how say, just not functioned correctly.
But i think that i'm not very away from solution.
Even though the screen does not work very well, I could get this data in the "settings/ about tablet" :
Model number: IK-TPC783
Android version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V18, 2013/11/29 20:10
Buil number: MT83x2_MR706_MR7063L1C2W1.2014031418
Custom build version: 1.19_20140125
Hardware info: MT8312
Please help!
I'm having an issue with a VERY similar device... It's an MR706, with zero markings indicating brand/manufacturer... The motherboard appears to be model K20-MB-V1.0 and there's a chip (not sure WHICH chip) with a brand called FORESEE on it. Anyway - I attempted to update the firmware using that royqueen scatter, and now the thing won't boot at all. Held the reset button, held all buttons, plugged in (it was at 96% battery before I flashed it) - nothing. Wondering if it's totally bricked or if there's some magic that someone can teach me...

You must be sure the exact model to the chip (the big one usually). In my case it's "MediaTek ARM MT8312v". You can search a compatible ROM to flash with the SP Flash Tools.
Or check if this help (mytabletguru.com/how-to-find-chinese-tablet-firmware)

While I'm a fairly seasoned technician, I'll fully/freely admit to this being the first Android tablet I've taken apart. Here's a picture of the innards - help? The only chip with writing/markings is on the top-left - and there's nothing with MediaTek, ARM, or MT - though there is a number that's been popping up in my searches (8382)...

PLEASE HELP ME
I just noticed these new posts in my thread. Unfortunately I'm not able to help any of you because I literally fixed mine via trial and error. Like I said I kept flashing rom after rom until one worked. I bricked it in several ways before getting the right rom, it had all kinds of issues from not booting at all, showing a boot logo and then bootlooping, showing lines on the screen, and so on. I found it by googling for devices with similar hardware.
But honestly, it wasn't worth it to fix this p.o.s.
If you have a similar device you're better off getting rid of it and buying a new one.

[rom][fix] pipo n7 7.0 - nvram 4032 fix

** Unable to Flash Pipo N7 (4032 error) Fix **
** As usual, I’m not responsible to any FURTHER damage you might do to your tablet or yourself, by trying to manipulate the system’s ROM or Li-Ion batteries **
Background
I’ve seen a lot of people trying to flash a different ROM on these tablets and resulting with a bricked device. Ironically the ROM that bricks the device comes directly from Pipo. I’ve been in touch with Pipo engineering and they told me that the ROM posted in their website is exclusive for Android 6.0 devices, and currently there is no 7.0 ROM in their website.
As with a lot of small Chinese technology manufacturers, their company lacks of some organization, which has lead to these type of confusion. That’s some of the risk that one takes when buying these brands.
Problem
You try to roll back to Android 6.0 for whatever reason you want: stability, speed, or simply that was the only ROM available for you to recover from an error or troubleshooting your tablet.
After installing VCOM drivers (won’t even talk about this, the whole web has info on this), and flashing the 6.0 ROM via SP Flash Tools, the tablet is bricked.
Behaviour
The tablet won’t power up and there is no access to recovery, adb sideload, etc. The only response is under DEVICE MANAGER, the port appears and disappears.
The only way to make the port “stop” reconnecting, is to open SP Flash Tools and select a command (i.e. download, format, readback, etc.). Only by doing this you will be able to stablish a link with the tablet, which is expecting now to receive a Preloader.
If you try to flash the ROM again, you will now get a fat S_FT_enable_dram_fail (4032) error. All of this was done WITH THE NEGATIVE BATTERY LEAD UNSOLDERED.
Solution
Drivers
If you were able to brick it with the wrong ROM, then you don’t need to troubleshoot driver issues, sounds logic right? Drivers discarded.
Battery
The battery is soldered, you have two options. Open the tablet with a credit card-->>[ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5ucwSLCVOQ ] all along the side to unlock the clips, and then unsolder the negative lead (protect is with some tape or something while working), or just use the RESET switch on top.
ROM
Attached is the working ROM for the following PipoN7 product (latest that has been shipped since Dec 2017)
https://www.4shared.com/rar/Znmpc-q-gm/N7_OEM_70.html
Procedure
Unpack the ROM (verify the path is not too long, or else you might get an Error on SP Flash Tools)
Open SP Flash Tools, select the scatter file, verify ALL FILES are checked and press download
Connect the tablet, if the process doesn’t start, press the Tablet’s reset button on top
If the reset button doesn’t work, you need to unsolder the battery and try again
When finished close Flash Tools, disconnect and leave the tablet charging (when bricked the battery usually discharges). When connected you should see the battery icon, indicating charge
With this ROM also, we can probably have Custom Builds in the future, to make improvements to this great nifty little tablet.
Good Luck!

Bootloop Chinese Android car head unit, how to restore firmware?

My Chinese Android car head unit is stuck in a bootloop (the home screen shows but the unit reboots after a few seconds). I got a firmware zip file from the manufacturer (the zip contains files like scatter.txt, ramdisk2.img, boot.img and so on). However, I'm unable how to find out how on earth I can install this firmware and get out of my bootloop.
I have no access to Android itself (the system reboots too soon). There are no physical buttons to activate recovery mode. When I use a USB keyboard I can get into recovery by pressing ALT GR and PRT SCR but after a reset "no command" shows up and I'm stuck again...
Any help please?
Flashing instructions
[Apologies for the lengthy reply, I have to assume that you have no experience in flashing MTK SoC]
Sorry to hear that! I am also contemplating t buy a Chinese Android headunit with GPS but I am still contemplating. Reason being which model to buy? I am an avid Lenovo devices fan because in my part of the world models from Lenovo uses a lot of MTK SoC. (Any other other brand I buy is also a must to be on MTK SoC)
Ok! Now based on your short description I saw "scatter.txt" file mentioned so it is definitely an MTK devices, 100%.. When you boot loop you definitely will not be able to access any function, more so with a head unit that dont provide hardware buttons. I can only help you understand the method to reflash the firmware on MTK devices the rest you have to figure it out yourself.
The USB port is your key here. If the manufacturer did not provide you with USB "IN" (female) port which is not normal and only provide you with USB connectors you will have to decode/or just connect the wiring from the connectors to a USB female Port (which what China manufacturers do at the back of the head unit). There are also head units that provide ready to use USB port on the facia.
Whatever it is I cant tell you which port to use. This where you will have to experiment yourself.
Download MTK flashing tool "SP Flashtool" (find the ones that is suitable upto MTK device 6592 because it should be back ward compatible with older devices) The Chinese dont use the latest MTK SoC for their head units, that is only reserved for the high end heads.
Read up on how to install SP Flashtool on your PC and other accompanying Drivers you have to install, (if you only have a Mac go borrow somebodys Win7 or Win10 PC) there are no Mac SPFlashtool.
Once you have install according to SPFlashtool instructions you read. (It has to follow a certain sequence) e.g "1- ADB Driver" so on and so forth because if you dont follow the sequence it might fail to start the flashing operation. (You will not know it but I am pretty damn sure you will be cussing me).
First read up on how to install ADB driver for MTK devices correctly. Confident? Now try connecting your device to the PC experimenting to identify the correct USB port to use. If the ADB is installed correctly and you got the right USB from the device connected your PC wil give an audible sound( it should unconnected to condition evreytime you test). OK good connection! Only then try installing SP Flash tool and try a dry running the SPFT. If your installation is correct there should be either color changes to the SPFT window because it doesnt detect any devices.
You are good to go! Your MTK Android device should be in the "OFF" condition (after every shutdown there are still some operation running in the background,so it is a good practice to wait at least 5 seconds for it to be 100% OFF.) Run the SPFT fully loaded with the firmware dislayed in the SPFT window. Then initiate "Download" (make sure all indicators is at "download only" do not change this option or you are gonna have a really dead duck.) At this point the SPFT is active and waiting for you to attach the device to PC (before running make sure the PC and device is not connected yet!). If everything is per instructed ADB, USB Cables/Ports, SPFlashTool (download only) you will see color lines in the SPFT Window, wait till the end of process it will display notificatio. If the firmware is correct and you have attached and 12V DC source to the device it should boot up as fresh as new.(provided that the supplier gave you the correct firmware).
A word of advise these cheap head units normally bluff their actual Android version e.g actual KitKat advertised and displayed as Marshmallow. Best of luck!
The zip file attached are screenshots of the flashing process.
Thanks for your very elaborate information, but it won't work. The ZIP I got is an OTA zip file. The scatter.txt inside those zips isn't compatible with the SP Flash Tool.

Doesnt the seller provide you with the original firmware? He only gave you an OTA?? Oh $#it! The OTA file is small probably a few Mb? The full firmware in your case should be around 800Mb upwards. You are right an OTA cannot use SPFT it can only be flash through the original recovery (not custom recovery). If its a popular Chinese model ML-CK1018 or Joying brand ( I assume you bought a Joying? Thats the only brand that release an OTA not long ago) There is remote possibility of getting the firmware.Anyway just give your brand and model number. I will try to look on Russian or Chinese site but no promises! Will try.
But I am pretty sure it is an MTK SoC since you can unzipped and it shows "scatter.txt" file. Most other SoC arent normally in zip format and have scatter file.
Sent from my HT70 using Tapatalk
The OTA ZIP file is about 900MB.
It's a NAVITOPIA 9 inch 4G LTE WIFI Head Unit with Android 6.0 2G + 32G.
I'm in the same boat, have a plastic bookend at the moment, will not connect to the PC because flashed and formatted my device with the update firmware!!!

Issue with Alcatel mobile upgrade S tool

Hi everyone. As I said on a former post, I have an Alcatel 1t 7 tablet; I need its stock recovery image, but even stock firmware is getting impossible to find. I mean, apparently there are firmware for that reference of tablet, but what happens, is that there are several models that share the same physical appearance, but have different hardware, so, they have different firmware, and by that reason, their firmware don't work for my tablet. Anyway...
The fact is, looking that its original firmware is not available on the internet, at least publicly; I'm trying to reflash my tablet by using alcatel's tool called "Alcatel Mobile Upgrade", a tool that I don't guess, would be unknown for many of you. So as I said, I'm trying to reflash it with it (and in the process, restore stock recovery, I hope). So I installed MTK drivers, installed the version recommended for this tablet, followed program's instructions, but when I reach step 2 of 4, the program warns me saying this: "Read terminal information failed. Unplug device, remove the device battery and plug it again - Repeat step 2 and try again".
The issue is, that its battery is internal, not removable; even, is soldered to the board. And I must add, that at first, when I bought this tablet and began to "experiment" with it, I was using SP flash tool, and it was giving me almost the same warning that Alcatel mobile upgrade, but later I discovered what that was a fail of the used sp flash tool version. On a webpage, someone recommended a specific version of sp flash tool to fix that issue; I mean, that I could download firmware to the device without having to "unplug battery"; and It worked.
So first ¿How can upgrade my tablet by using that program?¿What am I doing wrong?¿ Which device must appear under device manager, to it can work?¿mtk usb port, Mediatek DA usb VCOM, Android preloader, or which one? And second, ¿Could be this problem, due to alcatel's mobile upgrade version?
let battery drain to make sure device is powered off. you only have preloader mode for a second - within this time pick up in device manager and install preloader drivers.
if drivers installed correctly, first start flashing, then connect phone. flash tool will keep device in preloader mode for the flashing time period

Thank you for replying. Definitely using Alcatel mobile upgrade is not an option, at least to me. I mean, I couldn't make it work in any way. "Fortunately", after an exhaustive search, I could find a post on internet, that recommended for a similar issue, to use Sugar MTK; the publisher shared this program and its credentials, for can use it . So I downloaded and used it, and I could restore my original stock. Now my issue is to port it to TWRP, but now I'm gonna to write a new post about it.
