Tegra - GeForce - Remix OS for PC

Was wondering if it was somehow possible to emulate (don't know if that's the right term) a Tegra GPU if you have a GeForce GPU on your PC. Should that be able to allow you to play "Tegra Only" games with controllers?

Get something called "GLTools". Works like a charm. The developer is awesome too.

evo 3d can play tegra 2 games ?

guys do you know if this phone will be able to play tegra 2 games ?
I guess chainfire3d is an app that lets you spoof the chipset id so software for a certain chip will run on any device. Haven't tried it yet, but it may be what we need. Games may run like crap but only time will tell. App is in the market.
The app requires root and s-off so no way to know for sure until the phone is released and the community finds full root.
do you know when it will be release in europe ? (greece)
i hope it will play tegra 2 games because is good games
This is also a big concern of mine. Im a bit of gamer, so I would love to have the tegra games. I have heard the dual core should help them run smooth.
The Adreno 220 GPU should be able to handle some hits I would imagine. It's too bad games are being developed that only the Tegra can handle that are so fun. Kinda taunt us by putting it in the Market and slapping "Tegra 2 only!" on it.
Chainfire 3D does allow that, but requires root access,

Once we get root we will be able to run them no problem.
my Epic 4G ran all the tegra 2 games at full speed and looked great

Tegra???

Has anyone figured out a way to run Tegra2 devoted games on our e3d correctly?
I've been on many boards asking this question. I would be so awesome if we could run Tegra games. The Adreno 220 is fully capable of doing so, we just need the right drivers.
I dont know if this helps now but probably will once we get root. Most Tegra games are only optimized for tegra processor however there is an app called chainfire that's supposed to make tegra 2 games playable on non tegra2 devices. There have been reports of it working for the samsung Galaxy S2 but the only requirement is you have root. So I'm hopeful it will work on our 3d once we get root.

Marketplace Apps Compatibility

Can anyone tell me why there are loads of apps in the Marketplace but some (particularly 3d games) show up as incompatible when you try to download them?
Most notably, Dead Space from EA. Real Racing doesnt even show up. Quick Office HD which I owned with a previous tablet refuses to download and countless others.
Is there anyway to force the download of the apps - surely they cant all be incompatible? I also bought Need for Speed Hot pursuit, it will only launch if the tablet is in Hi-Res mode, if I put the tablet in standard I get nowhere!
If you contact Quickoffice support they will provide a link to download the Quickoffice sdk.
One of the problems with 3D games is the fact some game developers only support the Tegra 2 chipset, the GPU in the Mediapad is based on the Qualcomm/Snapdragon chipset with a Adreno 220 GPU instead (technically many say this chipset with the Adreno 220 GPU is more advanced, as it was released after the Tegra 2 chipset but as the Tegra got more of a foothold in the tablet market, it has been hard for the Adreno to get the same support in tablet games, there seems to be allot more phone handsets that use the Adreno chipset compared to tablets).
The app store checks what your devices configuration is and only shows games that use the chipset your device supports. However all games use the same graphics API (OpenGL ES) so there is a workaround called 'Chainfire 3D'. This program sits between OpenGL and the program and makes the mediapad look like it has a Tegra chipset and patches the calls to OpenGL.
The free version of the app does let you run games this way but does not patch the app store so you cannot list the games so this means you need to buy the full version (its a couple of £'s but not much and worth it if you can get a game you like to work).
Of course as more tablets are released with the Adreno 220 then more game publishers will directly support it, Technically there is no reason for the 220 to not run all Tegra 2 games.
Phill.

[Q] Current Android phones?

I saw Android phones today with cpu like 2.2 ghz quadcore or something.
As I can remember I was able to play PCSX2 smoothly with a 2.9 ghz dual core PC before, as well as a laptop something like 2.4 ghz.
I'm planning to buy one, are current smartphones capable of running emulated consoles smoothly? (PS1, PSP, DS, maybe PS2)
If yes, can you suggest what phone?
If no, are the hardwares not good enough or is it the emulators not perfected yet? (will current hardwares run them well in the future)
Thank you~

PC's and Phones use different architecture that is not directly comparable or compatible.
PS1 Games are playable with an app called FPse here:
Other games are playable if they have a specific app with a GPL port like Doom 3 or Jedi knight. Other older games can be played using other emulator apps like Dosbox Turbo but performance is limited.
ps2 emulator
so is there ANY ps2 emulator for android|?
You can use FPse for PS game, PPSSPP for the PSP game. As to DS, their are different DS emulator, among which Drastic is the fastest, most game can run with full speed.
Awesome. I think PS1, PSP and DS emu are more than enough
I'm picking between Note 3, Nexus 5 and Xperia Z1. What do you think is the best for gaming especially for console emulation?

Is it possible to run nvidia shield (tegra x1) games on android devices?

I was just wondering that nvidia shield tv is based on android and has some natively running awesome console games like resident evil 5 and Metal gear rising so maybe it is possible to run the games on an android device by fooling the game about the phone gpu or something else. I think adreno 530 found in snapdragon 820 is powerful enough to run these games. Has there been any successful attempts?
