Alright I found a fix for the Black Crush Problem.
Note these steps are just how I stumbled upon the fix. I'm not guaranteeing it would fix your Black crush but it fixed mine. I listed everything I did before it was fixed.
This is for you to Re-Enact It's not a guarantee.
WHAT IS BLACK CRUSH?
Watch this video for an example:Click Me
Explanation: It's when our phone can not display the black levels correctly resulting in clipping where there would be shadows, grey areas, dark areas, etc.
To Test if You Have Black Crush/Clipping
Watch This Video:Click Me To Watch
The most notable part if you have Black crush begins at 0:11
If there's no Black Crush/Clipping you're straight. If not try this out then test it again afterwards.
I know YouTube isn't what causes the black crush. I'm just listing what I had expereinced so you may re-enact it and hopefully reach the same solution I have.
On CMW Recovery Update your rom to
"[Rom]~[UCLF5]~TEAM PERFECTION'S ICS OBJECTION|06/28|SGSIII|S Voice|Fast|Spiced UP RC1"
Click Me
Now Follow the Instruction to Update to that rom by every detail.
Update to RC1 Non Flash after Successfully Booting the rom.
Youtube should be broken (At least mine was) Uninstall with Titanium Back-up
Uninstall Launcher with Titanium back up
Boot into CMW Recovery and clear Dalvick Cache and Fix permissions
Reboot
Re-install Youtube
When You reboot It should say "Optimizing Android 1/140" and it'll boot up normally.
After that black crush should be fixed. Test it with YouTube or any of your Pictures that had Black Crush on it before.

So let me get this straight.. Since youtube is no longer installed, you can't see this nonsense "black crush", so problem fixed.

Nahhh, my youtube was just broken I just included every detail that I could so that you guys could re-enact my actions. I re-installed youtube right after.
So, I've noticed I even get major distortion in the black borders of some trailers like these two from Iron Man 2:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNQowwwwYa0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siQgD9qOhRs
It's like there's some crazy static in the borders. Is everyone experiencing this, or did I just get a particularly bad one?
Black crush has nothing to do with the Youtube app.

Like I said, I added it into the instructions because it's what I experienced. I know that the Youtube app does nothing with the Black crush and it is merely the phone that cannot process / display the black levels correctly Lol.
Black Crush/Clipping
Black crush/clipping can not be fixed. No one is even sure what causes the issue (is it software or hardware?), Samsung denies it even exists, the level of black crush/clipping varies on different Galaxy Notes, and there are some people who claim their Notes are perfect and show no signs of black crush/clipping at all. All Devs that were working on this Issue have given up, the closest thing to a fix they could come up with was moving the clipping point from between 0/1 to between 6/7 on ICS.

You cannot fix black crush!. ,.ics fixed the branding issues but that's it.. this thread is useless and has been attempted many times....
I can live with it.... no problems here.
I don't have it..and if I do...it doesn't bother me at all ..I love my note

No software tweak can fix a known hardware issue.

My first note didn't have it and my second one did until this happened. I wasn't looking for a fix I was simply trying to fix my youtube and it fixed itself.
My note didn't have it...
When I first got it I was AMAZED on how good the colors were... I rooted, flashed at I got it
But I don't really care.. fast phone big screen ultimate customization
I can care less about a black crush ^_^

This.
OP, I'd love to see a photograph (not a screenshot) of your Note displaying the gamma test image in a dark room. If it shows no clipping, I'll try ICS Perfection.

Hi guys,
hope you'll be able to help me out with this. Under Diagnostics-->Orientation--> Accelerometer, my brand new Xperia Z4 fails the test since it won't vibrate while shaking the device! Now, vibration itself works fine it's just won't do it in that particular test. Does it mean I've got a faulty device? Can you kindly check if the same problem exists in your devices.
Also, when I've got my music/youtube on and changing orientation, audio seems to cut off for a split second during the transistion. Is it releated you think?
Thanks so much for your help in advance!
And 1st i thought mine was too.. Try shakin itnevery way possbile.. Got mine to vibrate

I've tried that with no luck unfortunately. What about this other "audio-orientation" issue I've got? This is my first Sony device so I don't know whether that's something normal or not?

This audio issue is software bug, i have it too. And for accelerometer i got failed couple of times, but it's working. If it doesn't work you would not be able to rotate screen orientation.

I'm glad the audio issue is a software bug. It's a bit annoying but hopefully it'll be addressed in the future updates. I can live with that...for now As for the failed test, you think it's really nothing to worry about? The auto-rotation works just fine but why it won't vibrate during the test? You reckon that's the diagnostics issue, another bug perhaps? I just wonder if that's a common issue, that's all?I hope you guys will let me know

I've tried for the millionth time and it finally vibrated then it wouldn't again! Well, I'm telling you it was far from shaking it gently . Like you said, it must be another bug! Thanks for your help mate. Much appreciated!
If you still have got any other thoughts drop a line
Hey friends,
Just got the phone a few days ago and I've noticed that often the first tap on the screen is not registered. Tried turning off pocket mode, didn't help.
Does anyone have the same issue?
Thanks for your help

Nope, super responsive for me. I think you should send it to the Huawei Service Center.
To me it seems like a software bug. I've seen posts about the mate 9 where people had the same issue

For me my mate 9 was never really cured, still touch problems slightly but my 10 and 10 pro are lovely
Strange enough my 10 has the problem, would love to hear from anyone having the same problem
My Mate 10 is smooth and catches everything.
My Mate 9, however, would randomly register a click when I was scrolling. Very annoying.
I will return my phone because of this problem
Very much responsive

Hi guys.
i made a short video in which it's shown what i mean
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6h645V_GLuQ
It is a comparation between my honor 9 and my moto x 2014 regarding display sensitivity
In the first comparation it's shown how badly the sensitivity of the touch is calibrated when small movements are made. The red circle on the honor 9 doesn't move
In the second comparation it's shown a swipe issue. If you look with attention you will notice that the last millimeters of a swipe are executed with delay. Infact you will see the red circle moving even though the finger is stopped
I'm using Android nougat b180.
these problems are very annoying, especially during games
Does anyone of you has tha same issue? (I think yes)
have these problems been fixed whit oreo beta update?
I have this issue and I always thought I was imagining the delay, thanks for demonstrating it in the video. This is one of the biggest problems for me as the phone is great in every other aspect

Did someone tried with Oreo Beta? Is the problem still there?
I agree with you, that's terrible. But I have to admit, without your post and without using multi touch tester, I didn't know my phone had this problem.
Usually I'm careful with the touch screen (cause old bad experiences) but this time in the daily usage I didn't notice it.
I hope that honor fixes this problem because for such a phone it's embarrassing, but anyway I continue to use the phone without any very big problem.

I tried through hiCare app. They told me that there is no problem with touch and that the video is not attendible beacause it is used a third party app. Moreover they said that mine was the only report about it so they will not consider it

Activate or deactivate??
I also tried this - with pocket mode "off" an gloves mode "on" the phone seems to be a litte more responsive.
Either the touch-driver is crappy or meanwhile i got hallucinations. :silly:
But there is also more strange touch-behaviour:
If i scroll large lists in google news with repearted short swipes, the device stops within the list and changes scrolling direction. Looks like hitting a rubberband . This could be an issue of the touch driver or maybe a problem of emui.
Is there anybody using the early lineageos or Resurrection Remix who has also touch problems?

It seems there are some bugs that show in the S9.

While the article is not related to your issue, I think these bugs will be fixed in the next few weeks.
