hi there i've got an old Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic Tablet, originally ran Windows 2000 & can handle XP (albeit slowly) .. Its got a Pentium III and 512MB Ram
was just wondering if is possible to run android on this and bring back some life to it....
any help would be appreciated ... thanks
maybe you would rather try meego or just plain linux?
i'll give MeeGo a go haven't tried that before, thanks. tried ubuntu already but it wouldn't work, supposedly an earlier version of SUSE might work but i'd prefer something a bit more modern and android if at all possible....
Your best bet would be Windows 8, try installing the developer version and see.
well windows 8 would definitely not work, we're talking about a 10 year old tablet here...

On a P3? wtf?
Morning,
I have the Fujitsu Q550 tablet and it currently runs Win 7 however is it at all possible to put a fully functional (not VM) android base on it? Ive seen a couple of youtube postings but no links which makes me think it is afake but worth a shot to ask.
thanks!
I just want to ask you if, now that the bootloader can be unlocked, there are some possibilities to have win on this tablet... all the version are acceptable.. (2000 and upper) if there's not an emulator, are there chance of do it in the near future?
I've seen the page where is explained how to install 2000/XP on the htc evo3D, could it work also whit the transformer?
Your best hope is for Windows 8 which will support ARM processors. All windows version currently available do not support ARM. Also once windows 8 comes out it will require some development to get it to work.
You can have Windows 3.1 running on it now with DOSbox
But I really don't think that any version of Windows will ever work on the TP (although with XDA devs who knows?). The only Arm-based windows available are Windows CE and Windows 8. CE will never work outside of emulators, and MS has said themselves that they will not be supporting any kind of x86/64 emulators in order to run the 99% of Win software available today. So you will be stuck with what software devs decide to port or write from scratch.
Also, MS has said that it will not be selling licenses to end users. They will only be released on hardware. Doesn't mean someone won't pull it off of there and tweak it, but it is not going to be available like XP/ 7 is.
What do you need windows for that you can't do on Android or Ubuntu?

In order for you to run Android on the tablet someone would have to first port Android to the tf600, sadly at this time there are no Android ports for the tf600 available.
Hi,
I need to replace my Huawei T1 701w tablet as most of the apps will no longer update on Android 4. Can anyone recommend a cheap 7 inch tablet that is well supported on this forum? Something that maybe supported with custom ROMs for a little while? I only use it for watching media and light browsing. Are there currently custom ROMs for the Fire 7? This is one tablet I am considering but I would want to use it with stock Android rather than Amazons own version.
