Im having some weird stuff going on when browsing over 3g.
I did not post on any specific phone because im having this problem about 2 months ago while using mi old SGS2, later SG Note and now i have the HTC One X , and the problem it´s still there .
All the sites looks really small, losing their format size. And in some cases it seems to have java disable, but it´s enable ...
When i change from sgs2 to galaxy note i use the automatic synchronization so, all my apps and setting were restored. I think this could be the problem with non compatible setting between then.
With this in mind using the HTC One X i just log on with my google account without any sincronization, but the problem is still there across every android phone that i use with my account ..
This happen only over 3g and the only common factor is my google account on it
Please take a look at the pictures :
Hope you can help me
very duscusting i think...
so try this:
1. Go to settings
2. Open aplications
3. search for ur Browser
4.Open the context menu where u can uninstall it and search for the delete app data
this will completly reset ur browser
Tell me if it worked
It didnt. But i already fix it. The problem was the default apn settings on the phone, deleting the proxy on it solve the problem!

when im in the stock S3 browser, the settings don't get saved:
i put the settings on desktop view
i close the browser
i re open the browser and the tick is gone off the desktop mode
i do about:debug and put it to chrome desktop or desktop, cant remember which one.
even with that it doesn't get saved when you open the browser later on
any fix for this.
i hate mobile view man
I'm having the same problem
I get the same effin problem too. I hate mobile view, and why would you want mobile view on the s3, it can handle anything you throw at it. Someone must know how to sort this issue out.

It looks very dim because of the setting that is enabled when u enable power saving mode
Im having the same problems as well. Any solutions?
any solutions for this problem? help!
+1 we need to resolve this. It is a pita to keep having to remember to open settings in the browser and check desktop mode. I installed Chrome for Android and it does the same thing. No saved settings for desktop mode.
Anyone?
Hello all,
Its getting very annoying: everytime I pinch out on the homescreen to get to the homescreen selection section, a voice is saying some stuff I cant even understand, even in silent mode. Its getting me sick!
How can I disable it? Looked for it everywhere! Someone has a clue?
Thanks in advance.
Am I the only one with this problem? No one else?
I dont have any sounds when pinching on the homescreen.

Me either as far as I know your not meant to get any either?
Have you added an app as an accessibility service? Maybe Lightflow or Tasker? You can either remove those apps as accessibility services or you could use another launcher. This is a known bug which doesn't really have a perfect solution yet.

I had the same issue yesterday and i solved it
At first i thought it was driving mode(since that reads out things while you drive) then i checked accessibility settings and i disabled talk back(i think).....but that still didnt work.
Found out its lightflow....Has something to do with the app.I think you can disable it but i just removed the app completely and the voices stop
I'm still waiting for my s3 so can't check whether that does the trick or not but the developer of Missed It! said to check that both Talkback and Install Web Script (both in Accessibility settings) are set to off

I've had this problem too and I don't have Lightflow installed. For me, the solution was to go to Settings, Accessibility and under Services turn off 'Addons Detector' which I had installed.
So, perhaps it's anything installed in the Services section causes the problem. A bug perhaps?
Since the first day I got my phone my stock browser has talked. It's says "loading page" and "page loaded" and tells you when you press on anything. I don't have any of the talk back stuff on or any of the gesture stuff. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it. I have been using chrome in the mean time. Thanks in advance!

Go into you're browser and look through you're settings you may have enable voice text on accident
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There is no setting for that on the Note 3. My stock browser isn't even in my app tray anymore for some reason. And it's not disabled or anything. Weird.

I can tell you from personal experience that the only fix for this for me was to exchange it for a new one. (Or you could delete SecBrowser if rooted). Oh, man that was annoying! Returned it, got a new one, no problems with "the talking browser" since.

I just use chrome but I'd like the stock browser to work as well.
Scribbled From My Note 3
This sounds like either accessibility or car mode.. Did you check those 2
Neither are active. And I've cut both on then off. If it was either it would happen more places than just the internet browser.

Do you have any folders on your home screen? If so open one of them.. If not make one and open it. . I bet it talks.. folder open folder closed. .
Nothing talks except for the browser. That's why I posted this thread. Just weird that none of the gestures or extra features are enabled but I get talking in the stock browser.
Scribbled From My Note 3
Did you try a folder.. There was in the note 2 and other Samsung devices (i think including the s4l a bug with the accessability where only the browser changing home screens and opening and closing folders would talk when they were not suppose to.
It usually pops up when some programs are installed that need some part of accessability to run. . I know some program that controls the flashing light is one but there are others.
I have plenty of folders and have switched home screens a few hundred times since I got the phone. Nothing talks except the browser.

I did the same (used Chrome) but I figured, hell, I paid for it so I should be able to use it. But nothing was outta place. Went in to accessibility and unchecked everything. Debugged the browser and found nothing outta place there either. The only option I could think of was to replace it. Or maybe flashing the stock tar might clear it up.

I just tested it here and it does no longer do it on folders or home screen but it does do it on stock browser. Do you have my fitness pal or light flow installed. .
Do you have any apps listed under settings device access ability under the section called services. .
Nope nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing that messes with accessibility.
Scribbled From My Note 3
Actually I have a Pebble and that could be messing with the accessibility features....
Scribbled From My Note 3
It has nothing to do with accessibility it just uses some of the routines or something. . It is not going to be something out if the ordinary..
No biggie. I just won't use the stock browser.

Thanks for wasting my time trying to help you. .
Really?!?! I didn't waste your time cherylbaker. Everything you asked me to try I tried and it didn't help. There is nothing more I can do besides not use the stock browser. I'm sorry that you don't like that answer, but it's the only choice I have. I was looking for a solution from someone who had the same experience but the only person with the same issue exchanged his unit for a new one.
Scribbled From My Note 3
You have installed something that uses accessibility sevices. If you look under settings, accessibility, services you will see "talk back". Anything besides talk back is something you installed. Unfortunately this is a bug so if you would like to keep those apps working correctly just use another browser. The apps that I have installed that cause the issue are Pebble watch app and talking caller id. Those services need access to all my apps the reason they are listed in accessibility. So I just use other browsers.

Hello dear posters,
I think my question is clear. You know Facebook gets updated almost every week. I don't remember but, for older versions of Facebook after hitting a video thumbnail, I was able to choose any player that installed my device ( MX Player, BSplayer etc.)
But after nowadays updates it's changed. When I hit a video it starts directly in Facebook app without asking which way I'd like to play..
I don't want to turn back to previous versions of Facebook and don't want to install 3th party apps.
Is there any ideas how to disable Facebook's default video player?
Can we change some permissions via Root Explorer?
Thanks in advance,

Thank you for your help dude but this is not the solution. You mentioned clear defaults. I know that ?
But The problem is, in Facebook app it doesn't ask you which player you'd like to play. After hitting a video it starts directly.
Therefore; you don't choose anything by mistake so as to clear defaults.

settings/general/videos click to off
should be a similar thing in the app?
“Auto-play videos on Wi-Fi only”
will still do it on wifi but that's the best you can do for now until FB changes/fixes it.
maybe do FB through a browser instead of the app?
I think that there is a built in player in the app, so the solution should be browsing through a internet browser, which has been said.
No it's not working native browser, either..

Try using not the desktop version of Facebook, but the mobile version.
I've tested, also tested user agent switchers but failed.. I think the only solution to change Facebook files and change permissions via Root Explorer and text editor
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
Downgrade to older versions of Facebook app? The ones that allowed you to choose your vid player. You'll have to Google search it.
Thank you dear friends. These are solutions of think differently but i've been searching for a technical solution. Yes i know there are so many older facebook apks to solve that but that's not a real solution for me.. I want to use latest

I'm also sick of this limitations.
I cannot easily download my favourite facebook video anymore! ?
