Google Drive Sync Apps? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Question for all ya'll...
Been using Drive AutoSync for a while to keep my phones internal and external memory synced with Google Drive. However, the app for some reason LOVES to sync stuff that hasn't changed in months or years thus altering some of the modified dates.
What's everyone using for the purpose of basically backing up vital folder data Google Drive?

[Q] Need Some Android Sync Softwares

Hi there,
I am looking for some Android Sync softwares which can syncronize data between PC and Android cell phones wirelessly.
Is there any good one?
Suggestions:
Short answer: "it depends".
For music I have used isyncr, which syncs to iTunes. isyncr lives on your SD card & will bring in playlists. Look in the market. There is a Wi-Fi add-on that you can also get from the market.
Of course, Dropbox & Box.net can sync folders through the 'net. I think Box.net is finally going to ship their app soon. Dropbox is available now in the market.
I know you want wireless, but using a wire and "Sync Toy" (a Microsoft product, believe it or not) can sync quickly. You can set it to sync any folder(s) on your computer with folder(s) on your SD card. I use it to sync pictures, docs, etc. It works fast so you'd only be attached for a bit. You can set multiple sync plans, which makes it a quick & easy way to keep a current backup of your SD card as well.

Sync programs with all android devices

Hello,
Is there a way to sync some programs data, if they do not have these options themselves?
I suppose definitely we do not have a program similar to itunes. Or do we? That we just sync all devices through wire?
I am using android for 2 years, but now the above need seems so important!

You could use Titanium Backup's Dropbox sync. You only get one way sync, meaning you'd have to download the files to each device then move them to the Titanium Backup folder and restore. You'd almost do just as well to copy the folders to your computer and move them to each device.
Through the built in Google sync, you get contacts, calendar, etc. I'm not sure what other data you'd need to sync between devices.

OK thanks - synchronizing in such a way through Titanium, i think is not that efficient long term... Is a lot of hassle and should be doing it regularly.
For example notes to be synchronized (if the note program you have does not have this option) or music playlist to be synchronized or Angry Birds levels to be synchronized or programs downloading in one device to be synced with the other device in general.
I know that Google apps can be synced between devices and that is super, but i think is time to do a step forward and not just remain in what we currently have.
I suppose people with various Android devices would agree with me.
So no one else wants to sync all his devices together? Or I am still missing an important link between all these?

Google Drive is live!

Google Docs has been transformed to Google Drive, which is essentially Google's answer to Dropbox and other cloud storage companies. There is an official desktop client , which behaves just like Dropbox. It comes with 5gb of storage; I hadn't looked at any other account options yet, but for my purposes, 5 gigs will suffice. For those of you that have the Google Docs application installed, you'll see it's been updated to reflect the new changes.
Comments? Thoughts? Experiences?
Its just a copy of DropBox without any feature.
They do need to implement the way that google + upload pictures....
I already have 50GB from Box and 5GB from DropBox... too late for it. Of course i have it but i just dont need it right now.
I've been paying $20 a year for storage from Google for couple years. It was an offsite backup for my photos before Google+. Glad I kept paying after + released cause now I have 85GB Drive storage!!
For some reason, I don't like the "sync" feature
I just want to access/edit/save files online only, I don't like the "sync".
I have 3GB of folders/files on Google Drive (used to be 1GB on Google Docs), I don't want to keep syncing 3GB of data to any PC every single time. Yes, I can set to not sync "folder" but not files.
I'm still a Dropbox fan. I've got this, and Microsoft SkyDrive, but I don't really use them. Just going to wait for the dust to settle and see who makes the most compelling product.
Competition is good
Wink
I've been paying for the upgraded SugarSync account and I love it. I'm willing to give this a try, especially since its slightly cheaper and a tad larger for the ugpraded gDrive account.

Box.net will probably serve your purposes pretty nicely. There's no desktop client to sync (unless you're a business customer), so you can just upload to their servers and leave them off your local computer.
There is a file size limit, however. I believe it's only 100MB or something like that.
Make sure you read, understand, and actually accept the Google ToS before you go uploading anything you care about...

[Q] Automated sync from phone to cloud with Encryption

Hi there
I have been using the app FolderSync to sync all the files from my phone's internal storage to Google Drive on a daily basis just in case if I lose my phone, there will still be a copy of my files in the cloud which I can retrieve. However, I am not comfortable with leaving my files unprotected in the cloud.
I have done a fair bit of research but have not been able to find an app that can automatically encrypt all the files before syncing with my Google Drive. Apps like Boxcryptor require me to manually upload the files for it to encrypt my files but does not offer any kind of automatic syncing like FolderSync does.
It does not seem possible for me to link Boxcryptor with FolderSync to get the desired result of having my files encrypted then automatically synced with a folder in my cloud storage.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue and found a solution? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How to move data from Parallel Space to original App?

I am using Parallel Space app in Android.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lbe.parallel.intl&hl=en
The purpose of this app is to allow dual account creation. Thus, I am able to use two different WhatsApp accounts on a single device, wherein one account is on Whatsapp app and second account is on emulated Whatsapp via Parallel Space app.
Now I want to switch the data from Parallel Space Whatsapp to originial Whatsapp on another device.
Is there a way to backup the Whatsapp account stored in Parallel space and copy it to original whatsapp app? Or else what all file do I need to copy from Parallel Space to original whatsapp?
Previously I tried using Titanium Backup but all I was able to do is to move Whatsapp.apk and Parallel Space.apk to newer device with the accounts.
I wish to discontinue using ParallelSpace and use Whatsapp instead.
Since, I am not having the registered mobile number stored on Parallel Space account, I cannot simply create a new account.
Move your backup from parallel space virtual account to new mobile real physical acco
@anuragkanase
Go in your parallel space whatsapp account create a chat backup on google drive.
Now put the sim card in your new mobile where you want to use real physical whatsapp without parallel space and then make sure the phone is connected to internet when you install whatspp on new phone.
Put the number and regester on whatsapp now it will ask you to restore backup, select the option of google drive.. now you will have a real physical account with all your data, chat history, and also all contacts intact..
Hope this helps..
Feel free to reply back.
