Hi
I've encountered significant mouse lag in some apps like Youtube, wikipedia and more.
Also, Facebook FC's everytime I try to open it.
The mouse lag (pointer+scroll lag) isn't present in all the apps but it's there in quite a few.
I'm using remix OS 32-bit version
Has anyone experienced similar issues or is there a workaround for this ?
Regards
Regarding Mouse Lags,
Alright, I've just found that if I run those apps in Full Screen mode ON, the lag disappears.
How is that possible ?
32bit sux
must be running all resources to paint more than 1 window

Hello all,
As maybe some know, Adobe's Flash player in Android has a feature. The object doesn't activate if it is not in focus (or maybe touched?). This seems to be a security or battery performance related improvement as Adobe puts it.. However, it is really annoying.. Because;
You can't listen to most of the radio stations, or playlists even, if you send them to background. I love to listen to some of my favorite music while reading the daily news.. As many other have pointed out in the following threads:
Thread ID: 854896, 672639, 543354, 489142
I am writing this question here, as this is an Android Flash player implementation issue and this behaviour is by design. There may be many ways to modify the Flash player, or modify the browser to make the Flash Player act as if it is in the foreground even if it is not..
So can anyone work on this? Or maybe we can submit some kind of CR to CyanogenMod issue list? Better yet, how can we submit this problem to Adobe's developers/designers?
Or maybe a hacker has already read this and has solved it already
Thanks a lot..
Maybe this works on other (Sense?) phones, but I know this worked on my 3.29 stock rooted Evo. In the browser you can hit menu > windows and then open a new window, and then close the new window. Now you will still be in the windows view, but are "hovering" above the window you have your Flash content in. Now you should be able to hit the home button and do other things.
I would suggest just using a real music player/radio app.....

x2... I think most, (if not all) standalone music/radio apps will run happily along in the background.

True, but most (if not all) standalone music/radio apps won't play arbitrary flash content online.
I know somebody who likes to listen to a particular TV program, and typically networks only make these available via flash. I'm sure if he works at it he can extract the audio on a computer or find it on a torrent or something, but it would be nice if this were at least an option.
Of course, compared to a normal app I imagine it would suck down a lot more power.
I've found a way to have a Flash webpage running on the background without needing to hack Flash Player on ICS. I stumbled across an unadvertised "feature" of the Dual Screen Browser app by Curry Cat v2.1.
All you have to do is launch the Dual Screen browser, do a google search for the flash web page you want, and once the audio starts playing just hit the OS Home button and the audio keeps playing in the background. It blew my mind.
The device I got this working on is a stock ASUS Transformer TF101 w/ ICS (v4.0.3)
Dual Screen Browser has a bunch of FC and seems to be heavily reliant on the stock browser some how. If you get FC when trying to launch it try the following:
Open stock Browser, press OS Home button, then relaunch Dual Screen Browser
Turn internet connection off, then relaunch Dual Screen Browser
Dual Screen Browser appears to be better optimized for flash/html5 video playback in portrait mode. I had two flash videos playing at the same time on each screen without much of a performance hit.
When in landscape mode pick the left most screen. It plays movies better without cutting off part of it.

Wow, I even forgot that I asked this question. But your solution seems very promising. Well, I'd still like to see HTML5 work in the background to (for the obvious reason that I want to play a youtube playlist while screen off ) Well if I'd have to install a separate app, I think there are other players that does this already.
Thanks anyways.. (Sorry for the late response)
I am using "nextvid" to play youtube videos on the backgroud, no need for hacking it does it by default( free app)

Updated my tab to the ICS update that was linked in the general forum prior to the mediapad gettings its own forum (hurrah).
Was hoping that the tab will be blazing fast after the update, sadly don't see much of an improvement.
However the big issue is some apps are dog slow, or refuse tow work. If you have any problems with apps with the update please list and tell if you know of resolution.
Let me start.
1. ezPDF reader - Takes ages to load a PDF after the update. Rendering is very very slow.
2. Adobe PDF reader - Fast than ezPDF, but still the rendering is slower. I was expecting the 2D rendering performance to improve with ICS, but sadly no luck.
3. Browsers are very slow. Though the benchmarks might be different, the actual page load times are now slower with the native browser and on dolphin HD.
2. The very useful feature that showed running apps, and recent used apps is now missing, and you have the generic list of apps
All the adobe apps like touch, proto etc. They hang on a black screen.
Latest copilot live just fc.

Amazon Kindle (v3.3 & up) not working: all books content (text & graphic) is blank.
(it's working on ICS Beta prior this leak)
Now using old v3.2 & working well (but of course, font is less pretty & no pdf support).
1. Google Play keeps restarting
2. Google Play has issues handling multiple threads (loading an app detail screen while several apps are being updated, results in lost connection errors)
Not sure if the Google Play problems are related to ICS or the device.

Perhaps the device. Mine has been working just fine.
Quickoffice Pro HD doesn't work. I had purchased/installed it for Springboard on 3.2, but after going to 4.0.3 it was not listed in My Apps when I go to Google Play on the tablet. When going to Google Play on my PC, the app shows up as installed - but with a note that it is incompatible with all of my devices.

Try setting the screen to high resolution and I'd bet that you will be able to install the app.

Good thought - I had tried that but no luck.
I was able to get Swype keyboard to install by going to high resolution, where it had previously not worked due to incompatible resolution.
Zinio isn't working for me.. App works but the magazines are just rendered as black pages.
Put SketchBook Pro on the list, fc on start.
Additionally:
* Autodesk SketchBook Express - does not start
even if there is a statement on playstore page "√ Now runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Optimized for screen sizes 7 inches and greater."
* Navfree - blackscreen on startup (was fine on HC)
HDMI out - working, but the picture looks like a low resolution upscaled to a higher resoution.. also, when the cable is connected before enabling the HDMI output function, you need to disconnect and reconnect.. otherwise you'll get no picture at all..
tried this with HC 3.2 (B016) on the same device, with same cable/TV (Sony Bravia KDL-40W4000), and the picture looks great (like a real HD 720p/1080p resolution).. also you don't need to reconnect the cable..
EDIT: tested on two more LCD TV's..
Sony Bravia 37" (full hd) - the picture doesn't display at all.. it only blinks for a split second...
Philips 32" (hd) - the picture is displayed, but it's the same as described above with the KDL-40W4000
EDIT 27.3.2012: tested with the latest International version S7-301u_V100R002C002B008, and it's still the same :\
EDIT 29.3.2012: tested with PC monitor.. based on the information that the information menu of the monitor provides, that standar output is 640x480, which si far from HD/FULL HD .. and maybe that's the reason why it looks so ugly on most TVs..
but.. when the HDMI output is changed in the hidden menu (description here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23862818&postcount=5 ) the resolution was 720x480...
Gameboid - only showing the top row of pixels.
What a bummer... I want to play pokemon.
EDIT: Turns out its all GBA emulators. DroidEmu has the same issue.
Foxit Reader crashes when loading a PDF. Once a PDF file is selected it shows its processing for around 1-2 sec and then crashes.
Netflix
Looks like Netflix isn't working with the new ROM. I get the opening screen where I pick a movie but when it starts to play I just get a black screen. Maybe this is a DRM issue not sure but it sucks.
Kirby
Update netflix is working like a charm with this latest ROM.
Now that ICS has been released i have a few questions for current Mediapad owners that hopefully will help me decide if want to get one
1) I know that the mediapad is not the benchmark leader, do games like "temple run" and "wind up knight" run smoothly on it?
2) Is the native android SIP (internet calling) enabled in the final ICS version?
3) I read a lot of complaint out the touchscreen sensitivity. Has it been fixed in the latest ICS build?
4) How the web browser?
5) When you connect your mediapad through the HDMI out, how is the picture quality?
Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

1) yes.
2) no. At least it isn't exposed in the Huawei native phone app.
3) still the same, at least compared to the last beta build. Not really a problem though. But the jitter is more pronounced in high resolution setting (basically it will set the dpi to low, thus would look like 10" tablet scaled to 7"... Everything is smaller).
4) never encountered any problem. You can also use other browser like Dolphin and it would also be accelerated (basically Dolphin runs very smooth in ICS vs laggish in Galaxy Note).
5) looks low resolution (unless for portrait apps). So basically the same as previous build. I haven't use HC, so I don't know how much better it supposed to be, but compared to Galaxy Note, the note have better image quality but everything run more sluggish when using HDMI compared to mediapad which run very smooth but at lower resolution (and probably lower color depth also?).

1. Never mind the benchmarks, everything I've thrown at it runs smoothly (the likes of GTA III, DeadSpace, Shadowgun, Six Guns, and so on).
2. The client is not included.
3. I'm using hi-res mode and don't have any problems or annoyances.
4. I'm using Opera and it works great. Stock one is not causing any trouble either.
5. Not tested yet. Sorry.
Thanks guys!
For the screen issue, does it mean yo sometimes have to tap twice on items when using high res mode?
I also read on some forum that there are issued with Skype video on the latest release. Con someone confirm?
I will download the system files and see how to enable the native SIP client. It is normally a setting in the framework-Res.apk file.

As long as you have steady hand/finger while tapping and light touch then it shouldn't be a problem. The biggest annoyance is when you play something that need steady aim like angry birds and shooting games (contract killer or other games that you basically need to hold your finger at the screen steadily) because it will be jittery. It isn't that you can't play it, but it definitely add an extra challenge to the game. Skype issue is mostly on the skype itself. I haven't tested it yet (on the official build), but I read in skype forum that some other ICS devices also have this green video problem.

Not at all. However, everything is about half (two thirds maybe) the size when in hi-res, so if you have (very) large hands it might be a problem. Like rurou said "like 10" tablet scaled to 7""...
I have used BaRin in the past with no overheating issues even when playing games or watching videos. When I installed stock lollipop I noticed the volume buttons/power buttons along with the top of the screen getting really hot when playing games or watching videos. I figured maybe its stock files so I installed BarPop and still overheating. Is this something with lollipop or will it go away with time? I did a clean install of all roms and I barley have any applications on my phone.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Sounds like a phone issue to me. I've ran all those roms, never had heat issues.

Try this app it is free just put it in root mode: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify
If you are on kk then use it with xposed.
Pretty much it sound like to me you have a ton of apps running in the background on they are using a lot of ram/cpu what that app does is stops apps funning at all. They aill only run when you open them. I had the same problem but used that and now its all good.
Hi guys,
I'm using a S6, G920i on XtreStoLite's latest ROM. Recently, I found that youtube videos stutter like mad (read: not buffering, but stuttering) regardless of the quality mode ( from 140p to 1440p). This is also despite the fact that my WiFi connection is hitting 150mbps ul/dl on Speedtest.net.
Have tried uninstalling YouTube and reinstalling everything but to no avail.
The problem does not exist if I stream via Chrome - but the problem is I can't set the quality within Android Chrome.
Anyone else facing the same issue? How do I resolve it?
Thanks!
I have also the same problem. The only solution I found is clicking the home button, go again to YouTube and repeat this sometimes. Then it runs fine
YouTube-App is lagging
Thank me, by hitting the Thanks Button

Thanks, but it didn't work for my case. The stuttering is still present regardless of whether I click to home or reboot.
anyone facing the same issue and found a solution??
hello?????
I think you have a problem with your rom.
You can decrease lcd density to make it faster and smooth.
You better increase ram management.
