Hi Guys,
Apologies for asking - I have spent several hours trying to fix this (and searching).
Yesterday I rooted the phone and installed CM10 (I have a UK T-Mobile unlocked which had the official JB ROM on it). I followed the guide http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2012/...s3-cm10-android-4-1-1-jelly-bean-nightly-rom/.
All worked fine with no issues. I then installed some apps that needed root access. When I installed LBE Privacy Guard it kept making the screen go blank. I could use the phone for a few seconds but then screen went blank again. I reinstalled the CM10 ROM and it installed fine but on boot up would not go past the CM symbol. I then did an emergency firmware recovery via kies (ROM XXDLJ4OXADLJ4XXDLIDXXDLJ4) and this installed ok - I got "Emergency recovery of firmware completed service version PDA:LJ4 / PHONE:LID / CSC:LJ4 (BTU)) - I assume that is correct (my wife has a SGS3 but on a differing network - 3 don't know of that is relevant or not). The phone would not go past the samsung logo on boot up (the second samsung logo). I then followed the guide here http://www.cursed4eva.com/galaxy_s3_jelly_bean/ and flashed via Odin. Same thing happened - nothing past the second samsung logo.
I am at my wits end - please help!!! The first to provide a working solution gets $10

hie guys i need help with my samsung galaxy mega i9200 i was using it on the internet whilst connected to wifi a few hours ago and it prompted me for a software update of which i accepted and downloaded after it had finished downloading it prompted to reboot and install of which i accepted but after the install it started having a boot loop so i downloaded stock rom from sammobile (android firmware 4.2.2 ) and installed on my phone using odin 3.0.7 but now it starts up and says set warant bit kernel also the following are not working music or video players there is no sound even system sounds the camera is not recording videos there is no network and it says ime null /null everything else is fine. I uploaded a video on youtube titled "Samsung galaxy mega i9200 set warant bit kernel and ime null " showing all these issues i couldnt post the link since i am a new user .
Thank you guys in advance i know you can help me.
THOU nobody bothered to help me fix this problem here is the solution for future references:
After trying so many different methods to fix my phone i finally got a way to fix the problem and now i will give the solution in order for someone who has the same problem to be able to fix it .
At first i tried updating my galaxy mega i9200 to 4.4 kitkat using O.T.A but after installation the phone started to have a boot loop so i decided to root the device which ended up causing my warrant to become void now my phone starts up with a message written in yellow written set warrant bit kernel , i tried to downgrade it back to its stock rom 4.2.2 but upon installation using odin 3.0.7 i installed the wrong country firmware which resulted in my device having errors written image size too large ....... after this i tried installing megakat 22v but still it didn't work it only started to freeze on the Samsung logo . I later on used Samsung kies to help me find the country which my device firmware was made from , the steps are as follows on Samsung kies go to tool/firmware upgrade and initialization/model (type GT-I9200)/serial number (type -------)/..
After i got my original firmware which was Thailand *(THL) i tried to install with odin 3.0.7 but it failed so kept on trying different firmwares until the one from Egypt worked but when it booted there was no sound , no Bluetooth , couldn't recording sound or video no WiFi and ime was null/null so i decided to download kitkat from the firmware manufacturer Thailand (THL) from androidxda but this time instead of installing the kitkat i opened the I9200XXUCNC2_I9200OLBCNC1_I9200XXUCNC2_HOME.tar .md5 file with 7zip and extracted a file called NON-HLOS.bin its 49.5mb in size this is a file that contains the modems of the phone and other files required for sound and ime , so i put my phone in download mode and opened odin 3.0.9 . I loaded the NON-HLOS.bin file into odin through CP and i hit start after the install the phone was perfect everything worked fine the ime is restored and all is well .
same problem here... hope your method work for me cus I have been searching this entire forum for a fix to my phone...
My brother has a galaxy tab10.1 gt-p7500, I tried to root it in the past and manage to brick it so I send it to be fix. When it was fix, it was sent back to my brother but it was later given to me as my brother has a new toy to play with. At that time, the tablet was messy. I can't update and it's slow. So I did a factory reset and what I did not realize is that there is no recovery. Now I tried to flash lollipop in it but since the download mode opens up every minute, the thing does not charge. I need it to shut down till it's fully charge so I can flash it properly.
Also here is what I want to happen, please suggest the steps if it is possible as I am a bit confused by all the things they say in various forums.
- uses android 5.2 Lollipop
- rooted
- has cynamogen
For reference the download mode has this >>>
-----------------------------------
Odin3 download mode
protocol v2.1
-----------------------------------
Reason: No kernel
secure mode: secure
check signature: check
custom Binary Download
(it turned off again so I don't know the rest)
Hey guys,
since 2-3 weeks i'm using the 6.0.1 official version which i got via OTA update (everything original on my phone, no root, no flashing any software) for my international S6 Edge.
First i noted havy battery drain and uninstalled a few apps. A weather widge forced the heacy battery drain and my phone worked fine.
Since 4 Days i have problems with random reboots. It started with some reboots a day and now it keeps rebooting after i unlocked sim card and want to use my phone. I managed to put my phone in flight mode and i were able to make a backup of my userdata via samsung smartswitch. I initialized the phone via the software and it flashed the newest version. After it finished it booted up and in the language selection screen it keeps rebooting.
I read about corrupted files due update from version 5.x to 6.0.1 and thought to wipe the phone and flash newest software via smartswitch would fix the problem but my phone is not usable anymore.
Maybe you have any advice for me?
Thanks for your further help!
greets
Bastian
Hi borth87
As it won't get worst, I suggest to flash a clean Stock version.
From SamMobile find the latest firmware for your device model.
After, for the download, I suggest you to use:
[TOOL] SamFirm - Samsung firmware downloader & checker
Just provide Model+Region and it will find you the newer firmware available. Please, before download, check the boxes: CRC32 & Decrypt
Flash the above using the lastest Odin v3.11.1
- Open Odin
- Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add the firmware file downloaed to AP / PDA
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Let us know your path.
Nice regards.

Thanks for the reply.
Will the flashing via odin touch the knox warranty?

Bastian
Hi B
No. Just flashing Sammobile firmwares via ODIN will NOT trip knox.
Have fun.

Hi.
I has the same problem. I tried to flash all of firmwares (always STOCK), but it's failed with ODIN all times. Samsung Smart Switch PC software say system repair succesfull (with emergency update repair), but the problem keep joke with me.
Phone don't repond without charger. With PC connection, i don't allow to run restore mode, only ODIN mode. With Wall charger adapter, i allow to run restore mode, odin mode, safe system mode, normal system, but i wiped cache, i do factory reset, i rebooted in bootloader and rebooted system as normal. When i run system in normal mode, language selection show up, and when i press next, phone reboot. When i run system in safe mode, i can select my language, and i can connect to my WiFi, but after i press NEXT at wifi list, phone reboot.
So in safe mode i able to do more one step, but system keep rebooting. Charging screen show battery at 89-90% all times, system start updating battery status from 1% to 100% (1 percent/ 1.5 sec).
Some times red-green-blue-purple rows show at Samsung logo and i got bootloop. Like when i put off my battery from my old phone.
I have a Galaxy Fame Lite (GT S6790) officially branded as Galaxy S III lite(AFR version) and it has an issue that I've so much tried to fix to no success. 'Was working fine, but so much lagging and hanging and kept indicating "Unfortunately 'someApp' isn't responding".. so I did the following in that order that didn't work...
1. Did soft reset...didn't fix it..
2. Did factory data reset.. didn't fix..actually created more problem, it couldn't go past the setupwizard, kept restarting during the setup session...
3. Did hard-reset...nothing changed..
4. Flashed stock firmware...nothing changed... I actually flashed multiple versions of the firmware of the same model none of which fixed the issue..it boots normally, but as soon as I hit start in the setup, it loads for a moment then restarts..sometimes it gets to set date but then loads again and restarts...
I am thinking of "NAND erasing it" so I can repartition.. but I can't find the ".pit" file in any of the CSC files of the firmware versions I downloaded.., all I find is 'AndroidManifest.xml'... Anyone with any idea how to revive this phone and just bring it back to active life..or how I can find the '.pit' file if "NAND erase" can fix it.., I'll so much appreciate...
