I am currently having problems with a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 that is not reading a simcard. After dialling *#06# the imei came up as null/null. After further research I figured out to get the flash counter/odin mode up and it says;
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9300
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
I bought the phone this way and I don't know how to fix it.
Also if my phone was on 3 mobile and I rooted it with a Vodafone root would my phone then be on Vodafone?
Thanks a Million,

I want to unroot my phone as I wanted to avail exchange offer given by Samsung. Even if I do not avail exchange offer unrooting will help to get Adndoid version 4.3 which is about to come for i9305. I found simple unroot procedure here - http://theunlockr.com/2013/01/26/how-to-unroot-the-samsung-galaxy-s3-lte-i9305/
As per the procedure I have to download Stock Firmware for my device from here - http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305. But, I'm confused to find my device's version from there. What can I do now?
My device details from about device option-
Model number: GT-I9305
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: I9305BVBLL2
Device details from Kies-
Device name: GT-I9305
Current firmware version: I9305XXBLL5/I9305EVRBLL2/I9305BVBLL2/I9305XXBLL5
You are in the wrong forum this is I9300
samsung galaxy s2 i9100 imei null/null
I need any file can be flashed over odin , because it's not rooted
thank you
So go to Samfirmware/AndroidFirmwares.net/Samsung-Updates.com, get some stock roms for your country/carrier & flash them. If it's a case of the IMEI disappearing temporarily, you'll get it back. If it's permanently borked & you don't have an EFS backup, take it to a Samsung service centre or local mobile repair shop.
Update rom stock from odin ?

imei null/null
Hey I have the same problem my i9100 shows imei null/null need to rapair it somehow. I have already tried flashing oficial firmwares from sammobile
Many local mobile repair shops can fix this for you relatively cheaply (for example, where I live I can get it done for AUD$30), a Samsung service centre will charge you a lot more purely because they can.
Hello Guys Im new here. I'd like to Install different Firmware with same model (GT-I9300) on my device but
Im scare it will cause Hard Brick. Here is my device spec:
Samsung S III GT-I9300
AP: I9300XXUGNA5
CP: I9300DXUGNB1
CSC: I9300LBGNB1
Currently on my device installed firmware I9300XXUGNA5. Yesterday I rooted my device to use Custom rom but
still confused is it possible for me to install different firmware ? Like I9300XXUGNB6 ?
Yes, its posibile install any thing firmware to your smartphone, chois Odin to install firmware.
@adriansalasa: but don't go back further than MG4, otherwise you loose IMEI
I have a galaxy S7 running on android 6.0.1 and im trying to update it to 8.0 using odin
on the back it says under the IMEI number SM-G930F YATELEY.GU46 6GG UK
also in the mobile info its SM-G930F
and i live in Algeria and bought it "used" here one year ago
but when i open the downloading mode (power+volume down+home) it says
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G930W8 !!!
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
how do i choose which firmware(ROM) to download regarding the region and product number/name??
