I want to unroot my phone as I wanted to avail exchange offer given by Samsung. Even if I do not avail exchange offer unrooting will help to get Adndoid version 4.3 which is about to come for i9305. I found simple unroot procedure here - http://theunlockr.com/2013/01/26/how-to-unroot-the-samsung-galaxy-s3-lte-i9305/
As per the procedure I have to download Stock Firmware for my device from here - http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305. But, I'm confused to find my device's version from there. What can I do now?
My device details from about device option-
Model number: GT-I9305
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: I9305BVBLL2
Device details from Kies-
Device name: GT-I9305
Current firmware version: I9305XXBLL5/I9305EVRBLL2/I9305BVBLL2/I9305XXBLL5

Hi all,
I have bought a second hand Samsung Galaxy S 2 in China.
The Android version installed is 2.3.3; I tried to do an update via Kies but I got the infamous message that "firmware update is not supported" for my device. I understand from other posts in the forum that maybe the firmware installed is not matching with the original region of the device, in this case I should install the right firmware in order to get the support from Kies, am I right?
But my question is...how do I know the original firmware/region for my model?
The data of the device are the following:
Model Number: GT-I9100
Android Version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: I9100XXKE4
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKE7-CL215725 [email protected] #2 (does this mean the phone has been rooted?)
Build Number: QUENS.GINGERBREAD.XWKE7
Plus, when I connect to Kies the current firmware version detected is:
I9100XWKE7/I9100XEUKD1/I9100XXKE4/I9100XWKE7 (DBT)
Sorry for the noob question, I tried to figure out from the sticky post and used search but I am still confused...(yes, I got intimidated by the welcoming video of the forum)
Thanks

Its not posible to know without evidence guess maybe.

NO its the signature
Build Number: QUENS.GINGERBREAD.XWKE7
That reads as a custom rom by Quens ???
Plus, when I connect to Kies the current firmware version detected is:
I9100XWKE7/I9100XEUKD1/I9100XXKE4/I9100XWKE7 (DBT)
If its a i9100 and no other version pick a stock rom from the stock roms posts .
With later firmware and to match region phone is used in .

Hey folks
I am having a problem with finding the right version for rooting and resetting the flash counter on my i9300.
I already rooted my phone once with the cyanogenmod installer. But my problem is that the phone just returned from repair and they installed the official samsung rom again but the flash counter remains above zero.
Which version of android should i install as a dane?
Installed on phone right now:
Baseband version i9300XXUGNA8
Build version: JSS15J.i9300XXUGNA5
I do not think that the infomation above matches the infomation i have found on the web.

I have Samsung (SM-G900FD) with Lolipop(5.0) and I want to root it without tripping the knox. I have been searching the internet for past couple of days and I have found a way. It involves, among other steps, downloading and installing the "towelroot" apk, but here is the problem. Towelroot method does not work with Lolipop and I have to downgrade the software to Kitkat(4.4.2), the software version my phone came with.
Once again I have searched thoroughly to find a way to downgrade to Kitkat and I came to the understanding that I need to download official KitKat firmware from sammobile and install it manually, but I don't know which firmware to download from the list that appears against my phone's model.
I have following questions:
1. How will I know which firmware to download from the list.
2. Once I have downgraded and rooted my phone, can I upgrade to android 5.0
Here is my device info,
Model Number: SM-G900FD
Android Version: 5.0
Baseband version: G900FDXXU1BOE1,G900FDXXU1BOE1
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-4516970, [email protected] #1, Tue May 12 13:27:06 KST 2015
Build Number: LRX21T.G900FDXXU1BOE2
SE for Android status: Enforcing, SEPF_SM-G900FD_5.0_0027
United Arab Emirates: TRA ID : 0016333/08, TA : 00000000/00
Anyone?
have you found already..?
Hello,
My relative gave me Samsung Galaxy SIII Mobile Handset. This is an international version and I've reset the phone because I was getting frequent "unfortunately google play store has stopped" message. (Every few seconds)
I also tried to fix "google play error" by clearing cache, uninstall updates, removed battery for 5/10 minutes and reboot it several times. Nothing worked for me.
Finally,I decided to root the phone (It is already rooted) and use new custom/stock ROM. So, would like to know which ROM I need to use for Samsung Galaxy SIII Phone.
Below are the "About Phone" information for your reference purpose.
Device Model Number: SCH-I535
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: I9300ZSUBML1
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-2198062 ([email protected] #1)
Build Number: KOT49H.I535VRUDNE1
SE for Android status: Permissive
Device Status: Official
Regards,
GIPL
It's not an i9300, i9305 or anything. It's a CDMA variant of the phone judging by the model number, but by the baseband, it has the chinese i9300Z baseband. I suggest looking for a stock ROM, reflashing and then start all over, because it can possibly lead to a bricked device. I suggest you look HERE, not in the international subforum because, as stated, it WILL lead to bricks and other nasty stuff.
