Hello, what's the best lollipop rom in terms of stability, performance and decent battery life? I've already tried archidroid and crdroid but I've encountered a lot of lagging after installing whatsapp and Facebook app and I went back to slimkat.. Is there a better lollipop rom with less lagging?
@Fruca: if you search for best rom, you find many threads, also with your specifications...
LP + elephants = lags + reboots
Try crDroid 6.0.

Best ROM threads or questions are not allowed on XDA.
However if you want recommendations, try SlimLP or Dirty Unicorns for speed (or smoothness). Cyanogenmod 12.1 should be good in terms of stability since it has constant updates. Battery life of lollipop roms are all pretty much the same, kitkat roms are more battery friendly IMO.
If you want good battery life that is enough to match STOCK JB, try slimsaber 4.4.4 by Fusionjack with DorimanX kernel. If you don't like it, then try Cyanogenmod 11 by Markox89.

Not sure about a rom, but there is an app called Knockr on playstore (which started life on XDA) which will do what you want.......
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tecnology.angs.knockr
I have used it in the past, and it *does* work.......
.....but.....
I think it holds a wake lock (prevents deep sleep) so it may have an effect on your battery......

You mean the 18 months old kk-version?
Battery was very good on a lot of kk-roms, although as I understood the OP, he was talking about the newer Roms he didn't check yet.

I read and understood what he said, and advised him accordingly. Why would i suggest a KK rom? He did say new right?
Have you checked the dev tread lately, you will find the new Slim Rom 4.8 ported by Rakesh. V 5.1.1 LP

Sorry, this is just a confusion.
Obviously you talk of the stock based SLiM Rom, and I was referring to the famous aosp-/cm-based slim Rom.
I hate the name they chose, it's so similar to slimrom.

i can't find slim rom 4.8. link please?
i only found 4.7 discontinued
I recommmnd the Google Style ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/rom-google-style-v1-0-t3300253
It's a Sony stock-based ROM with AOSP/CM apps. The fastest ROM I've ever used, and I get very regularly over 5h SOT with very, very heavy usage

I will try it after slim rom. My experience with purex premium is so good so far that I can't expect more.
This device still got some life in it. Definitely was a good deal.

Yes, you can. I am check the screenshot.
First flash Rakesh's port 4.8 full rom as a base for Z2. Then on your link download the 4.9 OTA and flash it.
Later you can change your buildprop line for model number to say D6503.

No its not as much slimed down like Purex or Google -Style and far away from the ~300mb of AOSP - like Roms.
But hey, if you install it as your first rom, it will go on systems partition anyway, so why bother? There are lots of people that say it's smooth and battery saving (although some complain about 4.9 being not so battery -friendly as the version before).
I am curious about which marshmallow-roms will show up, and till then I just stay with GoogleStyle as my primary.
Even spent some Bucks on AOKP, cause they made my old HTC wildfire run android 4.04 with tons of features and a power -saving mode I haven't seen on any z2-rom (autoswitch to 2g at screen off) so far....

Yes Sony said so. At the moment there is a beta program in selected countries.
Atm there are MM-builds of Validus, AOKP, AOSP, CM13 (and possibly others) available, hope Sony releases their official version soon.
I am using redmi note 3 2GB (SB) . Which is the best rom I can put to increase the performance ? Like the current rom I am using is getting hanged when I run heavy application and the space i am getting to run the application is just 500mb out of 2 GB . So which rom I should use ?
It all depends on the kernel but for absolute best performance use a CAF based ROM and use Radon in gaming mode

Hi,
Based on my observations some of the stable roms are:
>>PureNexus by jhenrique09 + guyver 3.7.8 [for best possible gaming* without any lags]
>>Dirty Unicorns + ElementalX [gaming* was smooth but little bit of stuttering was there, but overall User Interface was smooth]
>>Carbon [best overall performance, smooth, stable, great battery life with Infected r7
kernel, didn't try gaming though.
>>AOSIP 5.9 + infected r6 kernel best battery life better than above + best signal bars
Hope that helps.
Note : *>> tested on asphalt 8 on high settings

As a 2nd option you can use MDK v5 rom by lakamel, it is pretty good rom aswell.

If you want only gaming then stock rom of your is best
The best rom is yur stock rom
Gaming
I'd look for a stock custom, or built up stock rom/kernal, I gave lineage a go, was largely unimpressed with everything but the shear speed. There are stock roms close to that fast, I play plenty of the 3d racers, action, and rpg's on mine without issue. I agree with stock, but stock doesn't have to be basic, or slow.
It has been years since I have followed up on Moto E2's development (not post 2015 I suppose). I feel like the stock ROM (5.1.1; yes I went back to Stock) has become laggy after updating it with all these apps. So, any suggestions on what I should flash? I want something clean, fast and should have good ram management, while not being laggy like the Stock L.
Thanks.
