this method is an alternative to battery calibration and works very nice on stock and motion-LL rom
1- charge your phone to 100%
2-disconnect charger
3-open phone app and type this code in phone keyboard *#0228# and wait a second
4- this will open a battery status screen and it will show now 100% charge
5-at bottom of screen press "Quick start" a popup window will appear press OK then screen will be locked
6- unlock screen now battery status will be change to your real battery charge level ( surprisingly mine show 66%; what a loss)
7-now reconnect charger and charge again to 100%
8-Repeat steps from 1 to 6 till you get near 100% at step 6.
you will really notice a big difference in battery life
NB; it takes longer time in second charge to reach 100%
original thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54836915&postcount=5634)
please hit thanks to developer
after 5 cycles of full charge already reach 94%
really a better battery life no sudden drop in battery percentage
LOL after typing *#0228# and quick start I still got 90% xd
However it says fuelguage will be reset... is that a problem?

Recently my gs2 is taking too much time to charge up. Yesterday from 10% to 85% took abt 5 to 6 hours. Previously it would do it to 100% in abt 3 hours.
Anyone else having this problem?
are you using it while charging?
i always turn of my s2 when charging, and it always takes me ~3h from about 15 to 100%

If you overcharge several times you will frye the battery. If you got root try BatteryCalibration http://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
Mine has never taken more than 3 hours from 0% to 100%, sounds like you need to calibrate the battery.

mine used to be like that but now for last three charges its taking that long.
How do you calibrate the battery?
Didnt think it was required as the batterystats.bin is regenerated at 100% charge.... I was told to calibrate by charging full while on then switch off and charge again to full, then on to full then use normally

How do you charge battery.. using charger or using USB port on computer? By some rule, if device sense data connection on USB it switch to 500maH charging levels. If there is not any data connection, it will charge as much as it can.

I use the main charger, very rarely i charge my phone using usb port.
today it took 4 hours to charge from 15% to 60%. then i disconnected it and downloaded a battery widget from the market and connected it again to the charger and it took abt 1.5h to 2h to charge from 55% to 100%. at the moments it looks ok. i will see how it goes on my next charge.
hi people
please check this 2 min video and you will come to know what i am trying to say and what help i need
Note : this video is raw not edited.
100% to 81% in just 2 min
i use :
1. ics final by jusada
2. lagfreev1
3. volume battery drain fix
i recently did battery calibration also both by software and cwm recovery wipe method. due tho this i have to remain under power or other way is to switch off and charge, but guys i can't switch off my device its always ringing and my business also.
Youtube video link as i don't know how to embed here :

Calibrate battery:
Turn phone off
Charge until 100% appears on the screen.
Turn off charger and remove battery
Put battery back in battery after at least 90 seconds.
Use CWM to boot into recovery
Go to advanced and delete Battery Stats
Reboot phone & DO NOT recharge
When the phone reaches 10% charge, put back on charge.
Remember all battery start to loose their charge if used constantly. Re chargable batteries become less effective over time.
Wy u disconnect the charger when it reaches 100%?? Its fake dude. Wait till the system reminds u in the notification that battery charged!!.. Some ROMs might hav removed that.. Seriously charge ur battery from 10% to 100% for 3 HRS...

It's not fake. I charged for six hours straight and have th same result as this guy. cooltt is correct: the effectiveness of rechargable batteries degrade over time.

He commented as video fake, whereas i already mentioned in first post the video is not edited and is raw posted here.
Ok everyone calm down.
My original post about how to calibrate this battery is correct, i'm using ICS final no tweaks by Jusada and i get the 100% charged confirmation when i charge with phone switched off.
I know some custom roms don't have this feature but you can still charge to capacity with the phone on, when it reaches 100% turn the phone off and charge for a further 20 mins.
This battery takes 2hrs 42 mins to charge from dead but you should never allow it to die as it strains the internal structure of the battery.
The battery icon is not a true representation of the remaining charge until the phone has been used over a couple of days and charged up at least once, this is the way all rechargerble batteries work
ya actually if i charge with my device off i get full charge in 2:30 to 3 hours but when i switch on and charge then it charges from dead to 100 in just 1:30 hours so by this i know we are not getting full charge while on.
but guys this is bad we need to find some way out this is really not good that we have to switch off our devices as there can be some emergency also, never did in my nokia, blackberry.
by the way in some thread i read this trick so today i followed this and will post my result after 24 hours :
How to Calibrate your battery ; guide by Hiroshirou :
1. (phone on) charge to 100% until it actually says full in settings > about phone > status > battery status
2. unplug charger and turn off phone
3. (phone off) plug charger in until it charges to 100%
4. unplug charger and power it on
5. (phone on) plug the charger in and charge it to 100%
6. unplug charger and reboot phone to recovery (into cwm5)
7. go to advanced and clear battery stats.
8. turn on the the phone and charge it to 100% - DONE!

Did you by any chance, send an input current into an output port? (like 3.5mm jack)

Alright. I once accidently put my speaker output into 3.5mm jack instead of speaker input in my last phone and my battery didn't use to last more than 30 minutes. Maybe you can try to swap batteries temporarily to check if it's a battery issue or phone/software issue! That will narrow it down.
its a software issue only as my battery is new i purchased 1 month ago.
Backup data and perform a fresh installation and calibrate again.
It this doesn't work, it's definitely a hardware issue.
P.s. age doesn't matter. A bad battery will go bad whenever it wants to. I will still suggest you to try swapping batteries first to narrow down the issue. Try krne mein kya jata hai?
oki i am on a test of a procedure that will complete in 24 hours after that i will try to use fresh installation right now i am busy in editing custom ROM for me so i guess have to wait for battery to got down till 10%.
i'm using SGSII yesterday my battery was drain and wen i put in to charge it was 0 percentage and it was in power off condition. at 12:30 am i say that i don't know exactly may be it was in 90 to 95 percentage of battery.
i was slept without removing the charger accidently.
wen i wake up and remove it was 5:30 am...
nearly 5 hours it took the charge with full battery is it affect any battery or my phone ...
no it dosnt an read batt post instead of posting new ones......
Recently by mistake I dropped my fone n 4m den my fone's not charging properly. When I plug in charger it shows charging protection activated n shows charging symbol but takes more than 3 hrs 2 increase by 1% is it a hardware issue .

Probably...
If you have another battery, change and check if it is still draining. If so, I'm afraid main borad is damaged and I can't say anything about how to fix it. If it stops draining, congrats! It means you fixed it!

Hello, I changed by Battery today. Insert a brand new original OnePlus Battery.
All fine, but now I saw that the Phone goes out and says Battery too low. I tried to charge, but it stuck at 1%...
Then I turn off and charged it for 2hours now it's 100%...
But now, it's always 100% since 30min...
How I fix this?
Please Help..
Best regards
Nico
