dear developers i have been using S5 G900P since last year.since that time i have a problem in getiing sms...I dont know why but whenever i text someone which is more than 160 letters, the text splits into parts and sometimes the device shows that the sms has been sent but the receiver is unable to receive my text which is more than 160 letters and one thing more whenever somebody text me which is longer than 160 letters then my device doesnt show any response that any text is arrived but when i use custom firmwares then it works fine in all aspects ,,,,,sending and receiving whether that text is of 160 letters or of 8 messeges it arrives as a single messege and also goes as a single,,,the problem only lies in official firmware that splits the messege and doesnt receive ..........i will be very thankful to u people if u solve my problem

I have noticed that if i add two SMS recipients and try to send the SMS it fails.
Instead of there being two seperate numbers they end up as one !!
hence the failure
I have recently upgraded the ROM so am not sure if this was an issue on the previous ROM
any feedback /workaround would be appreciated

this also happens to me whenever I send SMS to more than one recipient!! :? I put my XDA near a speaker & compared it with my Nokia 6310, I've found that the Nokia waits about 3 seconds before sending any other SMS, but my XDA doesn't wait at all!! It sends the next SMS immediately!
Maybe this is the cause of the problem!
When I was running the original ROM that came with my Xda II (1.03.00 Asian Version), my device would send SMS messages to multiple recepients one by one, confirming the message sent to every recepient.
After the upgrade to ROM version 1.60.44, it still sends to multiple recepients, however it does not confirm the message sent to every receipient anymore, and if you send to your own number entering it mre than once, you will only receive one message.
Hey guys. I'm having a little big problem with messaging on the Vibrant.
When I send SMS to someone, it only sends half of it and some weird square symbols.
Let me try to explain. I'm on threaded view on the Messaging app, and it shows the balloon with the message and "more...". I can click there to read the full message.
The issue is, the person I sent it will only receive the SMS up to that point, followed by some weird squares. I believe it shows this when i try to write more than 80 ~ 85 characters, way lower than the usual 160 limit for SMS. I don't get the More... for incoming SMS, and I receive them full. It only cuts in half the ones I send.
I was on stock ROM, upgraded to JI6 to see if it was fixed but still getting the same issue.
Any ideas why I'm getting this? It's so weird...

EDIT: As a friend advised me, changing the alphabet to GSM instead of Unicode fixed it. Thanks anyway!
i have a problem with my phone sending sms. this phone was bought in korea (lg ku5900) but i live outside of korea. whenever I send an sms greater than 70 characters, it gets cut off. The receiver of my message will just receive the the first 70 characters of the sms i sent. but in my phone it shows i have sent the whole message.
I have tried replacing the stock korean sms apk with froyo stock sms apk but to no avail messages still gets cut off.
with regards to my service provider, there is no problem with them since i am able to receive long text messages from my contacts. maximum i received around 500 character equal to 4 sms.
is there anyway to go about this problem?
Ok up until yesterday when I had unroot and reroot my phone (took it in for service) I was able to send a single 320 character SMS message with Handcent. I dont remember changing any settings, I just happend to notice it oneday while I was texting and my messages didnt split and the text counter was set at 0/320 instead of 0/160. Well ever since I rerooted my phone and got everything set back up, I cant seem to figure out what I did. I know the message was probably still received as a split message but then again im not sure. I do know the whole message was being received and when I sent myself a long 305 character message it came through as one text. At first I thought Sprint changed the SMS limit or sumthing because it wasnt even converting the message to MMS. Strange I know, but any thoughts on what it could have been? Thanks.
Hello,I have g925r4 s6 edge us cellular,having problem with sms when trying to send a message more than 160 characters the receiver got my message split to 2 or 3 parts depending on message size.how to make it received as one message not split.verizon phones can send as one message ,is there a solution?
