unable to Bluetooth pair with other phones - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone pair their V10 with another Android phone? can't get the V10 to pair up with any of my phones. Can't even get the V10 to show up on my G3 or Mega 2. The only way to transfer files between the V10 and G3 is to use smartshare beam. I can get the V10 and mega 2 to connect via wifi direct but not able to transfer file. The G3 and Mega 2 are on KK. Anyone else have this issue?

Yeah, I can't get my V10 to connect to my Galaxy Tab S running 5.0.2. Both devices say they are paired with each other, but when I tap them to connect, nothing happens.

I had no problems with connecting to other phones and transfering files

[Q] But why?

Here's the problem I'm having, wasn't able to find any other answers on here via searching here or other sites.
I'm unable to actually 'pair' via bluetooth my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 (16gb wifi only) with my samsung galaxy s2 (att version) . Now each device recognizes one another, but they don't actually connect. I can go through the motions and hit accept whatever code, but then I get nothing. Try to force it to connect, nothing.
I actually tried to pair an 8.9 tab with an S2 in the att store via bluetooth. I would say that I was able to replicate it (i.e. it still didn't work), but given all the other devices and the extended range I wouldn't call it a successful recreation.
Why don't they pair? Is any one else able to get their s2 and tab 10.1 to pair? Maybe it's just an att thing? Tech support figured it was a defect in my phone and it just needed a hard reset. I decided to do the test before wiping everything and starting fresh.
PLEASE HELP!
so it seems I'm not the only one with this issue (not sure if good or bad thing)
Found this thread on another site: http://www.mygalaxytab.net/samsung-...etecting-and-pairing-problem/msg5751/#msg5751
The most interesting part of that was this, "I was told that Samsung will not push this as an update."
So are we just stuck then? I'm not too happy about that.
I called samsung and they have no knowledge of this issue with my particular devices. I didn't realize that other devices had basically stopped working: http://www.galaxytabforums.net/foru...luetooth-other-devices-galaxy-tab-10-1-a.html
Any one out there having luck pairing their tab and phone via bluetooth to transfer files and whatnot?

i have tried pairing GTab 10.1 with SG2 with no issue. first try to identify which device has issue GTab or SG2. try to connect your GTab with any other bluetooth mobile.
I had never tried before, but just paired my GTab 10.1 wifi only with my GS2 International model. Paired just fine and was able to send a photo from my phone to the tab.
Have paired my Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Galaxy y without any problems. Transferring files etc. I am using basically the micro sd card of my Galaxy y as an external storage for the tab.
Using stock 3.1 in tab and rooted 2.3.5 in Galaxy y
thanks for the feedback guys.
I'll pairing with my boss's epic in a bit, but for kmaq: what s2 do you have? If att version, is it the stock rom?
I'm wondering if this is AT&T's doing rather than the devices themselves.
I'm also going to stop by an AT&T store later with my tab to test my phone/tab with their phone/tabs.
EDIT: If I take my tab to an ATT store and can't pair it with a new/different s2, but the tab can successfully pair with another phone then for sure it's a software issue? What would be my next move if that's the case?
UPDATE:
Tried pairing my tab with a bunch of other devices to try and rule out my phone, and now I'm not sure if my results are helpful or not.
So this list is what I paired with my tab and results.
samsung epic 4g (sprint) - NO
samsung galaxy s2 (att in-store working unit) - NO
Motorola atrix 2 (att) - YES
Motorola Droid Razr (verizon) - YES
LG phoenix? (att) - NO
HTC Inspire (att) - NO
Summary, my tablet can pair AND connect via bluetooth with motorola phones. Which explains why it would pair with my friend's droid x in the past.
So what does this mean? Should I factory reset my tablet to try the bluetooth fix?* If that doesn't work, then am I going to have to send it in for repairs/evaluation?
Please let me know what you guys think, because I'm going to call samsung tech support tomorrow and see what they say.
*EDIT: the hard reset did nothing, and samsung tech support filed a claim for 'tier 2' support.
can anyone help?

Portable WiFi Hotspot problem on LG Optimus 4X HD

When I turn on my portable wifi hotspot in my LG Optimus 4x HD, and connect my other android phone on it, it connects but it cannot browse. But when I turn on the hotspot app of my other android phone (with the same sim card i used in my 4X) and connect my Optimus 4x, it connects and can browse the net. What do you think is the problem of my p880 guys? Ive tried some tethering apps but the same result.
It'll be something like this:

Hi. I've heard rumors about pairing the galaxy gear with other devices then the newer 4.3 droid devices. In my case I want to pair it with my phone( the RAZR XT-912). I have downloaded the gear manager on the device and tried to pair it manually(I could not find NFC) I am also running Cynogenmod 10.1.2-RC2-spyder. [Q] Lenovo K910 and LG G Watch

Hi to All,
Sorry for intruding this tread, but my phone do not have official page, yet. I need an advice in regards to Lenovo phones.
I bought a Lenovo K910 dual sim phone a few months ago as I needed dual sim option.
Recently, I got a LG G watch as a present. However, for some odd reason I cannot pair phone with a watch. Phone is saying that is paired, but android wear app just showing message connecting to LG watch and nothing is happening. I do not getting a pair confirmation message from Android wear app.
My fried have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and when I tried to connect LG G watch with his phone did not had any connection problems. After few seconds android wear app on phone just report phone is paired and everything is working without any problem.
I have Kitkat 4.4.2 on my phone and all apps are up to date.
By my knowledge, my phone has a Bluetooth 4.0 LE. I have confirmed as I have connected phone with fitbit flex without a problem and low energy feature works as a charm.
Do you have any advice?
Thank you.
Cheers.

Using a T-mobile cell phone sim in the tablet......no connection

I saw lte is connected, but cannot browse anything, an activation page is shown. Cannot activate with a phone plan. I wonder if I change the rom to the Korean G pad III 8.0 and flash back the modem can unlock this problem ...... give me some thoughts. Can I change the build.prop so to let it connec to the internet through lte? Just do not want to get a tablet line!

i called t-mobile yesterday and they said phone sim cards are different from tablet, so they won't work.

Not sure. I don't see that. I interchange the SIMs in my account between the iPad, LG VK810 and LG V521 all the time without any issues. With the VK810, I have to set APN since it's a Verizon unlocked device. I don't have to do anything with the other 2.
