When I turn on my portable wifi hotspot in my LG Optimus 4x HD, and connect my other android phone on it, it connects but it cannot browse. But when I turn on the hotspot app of my other android phone (with the same sim card i used in my 4X) and connect my Optimus 4x, it connects and can browse the net. What do you think is the problem of my p880 guys? Ive tried some tethering apps but the same result.

First of all, are you able to tether your iPhone to other devices e.g a laptop? If so, yes you will be able to tether it via WiFi to your GTablet, rooted or not.
Hello
I just got an Atrix today on ATT. Before I bought it, I checked online to make sure that it supports the PAN profile - which it said it did.
The reason that I want this is so I can tether my IPad (non-jailbreak) to my Atrix using bluetooth.
I know that wireless exists, but I want something that will be easy on the batteries for my phone.
I have tried the older version of "Wireless Tether" but that keeps saying that my phone is in an unknown state when I try to turn on bluetooth tether.
I did root my phone - but nothing else. Can someone please help me get bluetooth PAN working on my phone so I can tether my ipad to it?
Thanks in advance
Not feeling the love
Bummer, same problem here. I'm attempting to connect to a "imwatch" and not finding a solution to turn on Bluetooth pan. It looks like everyone has moved on to newer devices. :crying:

My wife recently purchased the Lg Optimus L9 and wants to be able to tether it to her ipad. Is this possible for this phone. We have T-mo and unlimited data plan. It's saying "our plan doesn't support tethering to another device" but previously she was using a blackberry and my old G2 and it worked fine. The phone isn't rooted and I'm not even sure she would want me to root it but she probably would if this was the only way. Thanks in advance for any info/help.

What model of L9? You can try first update to jellybean (use ROM not from t-mobile). Cause I have V20D Baltics for P760 and tethering works fine with my laptop without root (but I don't know about ipad cause I don't have one).
EDIT: But it more sounds as your data plan doesn't support tethering. I'm not really sure how it works in t-mobile but tethering is additionally paid option. Maybe you used your limit for tethering? Cause as I see unlimited data plan has limited tethering e.g. http://www.androidcentral.com/t-mobile-unlimited-plans-may-get-tethering-bundled-starting-wednesday
2 options:
1.) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201062
This requires root and works.
2.) Try "FoxFi" & "FoxFi AddOn" from the Play Store.
I could not get these to work with Jelly Bean but you may have better luck.
There are 2 stock KOREAN PORTS for our device the LG optimus G e970, my issue is that people say to use the JB RADIO, when i use it , i don't get any sound on my rom nor have Bluetooth or WIFI or cellular network, then i proceed to use the hybrid radios they work for me, have everything working except WIFI.
anyone that has WIFI working that can tell me what radio you're using so that i may get wifi to work. Thanks in advance

Did your phone come with 4.1 or 4.0 stock?
I saw lte is connected, but cannot browse anything, an activation page is shown. Cannot activate with a phone plan. I wonder if I change the rom to the Korean G pad III 8.0 and flash back the modem can unlock this problem ...... give me some thoughts. Can I change the build.prop so to let it connec to the internet through lte? Just do not want to get a tablet line!

i called t-mobile yesterday and they said phone sim cards are different from tablet, so they won't work.
The voice lines in my account work fine with the tablet.

Not sure. I don't see that. I interchange the SIMs in my account between the iPad, LG VK810 and LG V521 all the time without any issues. With the VK810, I have to set APN since it's a Verizon unlocked device. I don't have to do anything with the other 2.
