i was running two roms with dual boot. first was a supernexus jb rom and other mystic glory. i had some hicups with supernexus so i flashed a dream kernel over it. for the first time it booted upto dream logo (even asked for loading 2nd rom) and then went black; phone turned off. second time happened the same thing. then i tried to go to cwm recovery mode, but no luck. so booted with mystic glory rom and from the restart menu tried to go to cwm recovery. the phone turned off and now the phone wont boot beyond samsung galaxy s2 logo.
i searched through this forum and couldnt find any solution.
any help would be greatly appreciated. pls provide any links to any threads if you want me to download something.
Thanks

Dual booting has always been unstable and the only way out is to start from scratch. I would not advice dual booting unless you are able to spend time redoing it.

Did u use the rom manager app?
Go to the development section and check out the stickies for going back to stock. That should be your first step.

The only think that can hardbrick was that bootloader you flashed... Don't do that when it's completely unnecessary.

Hi, folks.
I've been reading through this forum trying to find a solution to the problem i'm currently having, but none found.
The problem:
As said in the title, Desire X is called T329w, a model custom-made for China Unicom.
Trying to root it using the app by hasoon, and everything seems to work, except one thing: the phone will not boot right away if the battery is removed and installed back again, and will only boot normally after the phone is left with battery removed for a pretty long period, luckily, 45min, and sometimes 4~5 hours.
Just wonder what could be the cause for this?
OK

What you could do is:
1. Check if the protective battery case has been removed
2. Discharge Your Battery Completely
3. Remove It From Your Phone
4. leave it on the table and go to sleep
5. Wake Up Put it back in your phone
6. Make Sure Your Phone is Switched Off
7. Charge Your Phone Completely
8. Your Problem Should Be Solved by Now
Will give it a try.
Just wonder why this happens. Is this related rooting the phone?
Maybe...

Maybe because the phone is not purely genuine
If it has something to do with the rooting maybe your battery moved during the process?

i'm suspecting that it is related to rooting the phone. The question is the stock rom is not available at the moment, so we can't go back to stock rom to test.

I guess it's rooting process related; as you flashed a Recovery based on T328 boot.img but yours is T329. If you have the stock recovery for your device, flash that, it should work normal.

I was using the recovery of DesX from this forum.
And I finally found that DesX is a little different from T329w which is available in China. HTC T329w has dual-sim card support while DesX supports only one sim card.
This is the thing that makes the differenc.

2. Discharge Your Battery Completely BTW if you do that there is a chance the phone never to boot up again With the same battery ofcourse.
Hi i got my white AT&T Galaxy Note ii few months back and i really loved it, i was first using my phone with Wifi since it was locked, but after unlocking it few days ago, when i inserted my sim card, the phone showed 4G and ever since my BATTERY have not known peace, i loose 1% battery life in like 2 minutes.
I also had issues turning on my wifi hotspot so i can share network to other devices.
When i found this awesome site, i learned that i could root my phone and get it to do so much more, i did that successfully with an APK app here called framaroot, now i followed every single step well and booted my phone with Samsung Custom rom i think.
But the problem now is, my battery is still not been able to hold a charge, the 4G icon is still there which i don't need for anything, am ok with 3G, and i still have all this crazy useless AT&A apps allover my phone and i can't even turn on my hotspot for tethering.
Please i hope to get solution to this problems, and i hope i have not asked my question in the wrong thread.
Thanks all.

then backup your data etc and turn off your phone
press vol down+home+power button to enter a screen then press vol up to enter download mode
connect your phone to pc

yes you can but the better is flash stock rom before you go to any custom ones
first flash the stock
then root
then do as you want install any custom rom kernel etc etc
and the process for installing stock rom will be on the original thread of the rom so follow that

Am in Africa right now and downloading here is very much limited, so i want to know, do i really need to download the the stock rom from the first link and flash it before this problem can be fixed or can the CUSTOM Jedi rom do the job for me as well, please i don't want to download 2GB if i really don't need it then renew my internet connection with a huge amount.
Thanks

Hi,
After installing the Jedix 19 ROM the phone is stock on the Samsung Galaxy Note II logo.
What do you think could be the cause of this, i even did the wipe data and wipe cache process but still the same thing.
Do you have a recovery installed? If you've got cwm, download CyanogenMod and stick it on an mini SD card, move it to your phone, factory wipe it and flash it. Its worked for me on a boot looped gnote2. Also, once you get a working ROM, just use your root to remove system apps.
only do this is if you have a custom recovery like cwm or twrp
Step by step:
0: get the required stuff, you're gonna need about 250mb of internet, a microsd card, a card reader and some patience.
1: download CyanogenMod, http://get.cm and get a stable for the t0lteatt (att gnote 2)
2:download gapps for 4.3.
3:move them both to the SD and put it in your phone. Boot into recovery.
4:factory reset it, hope you don't using a out of the box phone.
5:flash cm, then gapps.
6:reboot
7:if it works, take a backup
Good luck!

Hi thanks so much for your reply, i appreciate your time.
Yes i have a backup file with the help of CWM and i have been able to move back to my backup file.
My phone model is SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 and from all the reviews i have seen i think the JediX Custom ROM is the best yet for it so am trying to stick with it for a start.
I need suggestions on why after getting the congratulation message to feel the force, it won't boot and just hangs.
Please if you have experienced this in the past please your suggestions are welcomed.
Ask me questions and i'll provide answers that am sure will help you to help me solve this
I would just flash cyanogen for the time being to see if itll even boot. It just replaces the downloading stock in previous posts. If you can get it to boot, that will be progress.

So sorry i forgot to mention it that i was able to restore to my stock backup file and my phone is working fine, but i still want to flash a ROM on it.
Am tired of charging this phone every minute, this is a Note II for crying out loud.
If i ask you to choose for me, between Jedix19 and CyanogenMod 10, which would you stick with so that i'll know if am to start downloading a new ROM to flash again and try.
Thanks
Honestly I've never used a Jedi ROM, so mainly if you want to stick to Jedi try flashing a different version. Good job taking that backup, that saved a whole lotta trouble.

That, or your battery may just be shot. You can buy one for it off the internet: I'm rockin' a 5300 mah for this.

A good day to all!
I have had an issue with my S6 edge (SM-G925F, Philippines Globe Carrier Version) for months now wherein it keeps restarting/crashing. The problem persists so randomly, sometimes multiple times a day or sometimes a day or two without it. I've already tried everything I could find in the internet, such as; deleting the cache in recovery, factory wiping the phone, and flashing the newest firmware i found for it on sammobile. Noting seemed to work. This is my last attempt in fixing the phone before I give up. I hope someone can give me good advice about this.
So nobody knows how to fix this? I don't care if it's a hardware problem i just wanna know

Is the phone currently working?
It sounds like it could be the hardware failing, could be the emmc failing.
The only thing to suggest at this point is to wipe data/cache in recovery and flash a new firmware.
Or try a custom ROM. If it happens on the custom ROM also then it's possibly hardware.

That's EXACTLY what i was thinking although i did not know that was the name of the part. I was just thinking the memory module was maybe defective already. Dang it so the logic board should be replaced right? Because as far as I know the memory is soldered to the board and hard to remove by itself let alone replacing it.
I've already tried the wiping of data/cache and flashed the newest firmware using Odin but the problem still persists.
Also tried the custom ROM and I've tried a lot of them non actually boots to the system. Only flashing the official firmware allows me to boot to the system.
Thank you for the reply I will now just give up on this and just buy a OnePlus 3T.

If it's the emmc then only way to fix is to replace the full motherboard, which isn't cheap.
It's a known problem on note 4. Emmc chip fails and eventually completely packs in.
Which custom Roms did you try? Carhd rom is a good one to try very reliable. Also when flashing a custom ROM it can take 20-30 minutes to boot into the system.

True they are very expensive that's why I'd rather just buy a new phone. I just didn't want to give up such good hardware until I've tried everything.
Oh really? I wonder why that's the case
I actually forgot which ones already but I'm sure I tried Carhd and it didn't boot for more than an hour. But I'll go and check again just to be thorough.

Yeah it's a shame really. I could be wrong that might not occur on yours. Normally when you get emmc failure, the phone will reboot to download mode and give you an error along the lines of emmc Write fail. And then keep repeating this.
3T is a good choice to go for if that's what you decide

Wouldn't say it was motherboard yet. After you flash your rom you need to boot to recovery and wipe data/cache. This will fix the apps crashing
done,cant boot the system.

Do not pay for it. Chances are if you can't fix it they can't either.
So have you tried flashing stock firmware?
What Android version do you have and what region? What's full model number g925?
Reduce the cpu frequencies to 1200-800mhz for big and little and userspace governor. This the only fix.
ok,so one more thing,on the glass back of the phone sits one imei that is not correct, and on the battery is another, which reports 64g version, while next to that number is printed 32gb and phone actually has 32gb lool
it is supposed to be g925f,but after i installed some custom rom,pc showed it as g925s? i think it is due to rom signing the wrong model number
the last thing i have done was yesterday, and it was flashing firmware through kies again.
and this is what i get :
s6 edge powered by android, followed by blue screen 'installing system update',and then recovery
in the recovery,i get this :
android recovery
samsung/zeroltexx/zerolte
7.0/NRD90M/G925FXXU5EQBG
user/release-keys
*recovery options*
No suppoer SINGLE-SKU
Supported API: 3
dm-verity error...
i realy dont know what else to try,and i am open to all suggestions..i have read that emmc storage is broken so this kind of problems can occur,so maybe service would do that?
thank you,i know this is confusing and boring problem
i tried with odin once more, and it failed at 25% instaing system update, then i restarted it and it got up to 32% and started erasing and it turned off..tf with this phone?? i guess its broken...

Download and flash that firmwsre through odin before you try anything else. Let me know what happens.
I can tell you it's likely not emmc failure. For this you would get random reboots and it would reboot to download mode. There you would have an error emmc_write_error.
wowo thanks,i just gave up on that phone,i will try again,i will report back!
just one question,why vodafone?
oh,and i did have random reboots on android m,but it would reboot to optimizing android and boot
I upgraded to nitrogen os 8.0 few weeks back. all going ok but flashed firmware update few days back and continually getting signal drops. the signal does not hold for longer than few minutes then disappears and comes back while later. Every rom I have tried since suffers from the same issue.
I have tried to flash miui 8 and miui 9 but although they eventually flash they stay on bootscreen (poweredby android screen) and never load. I left it overnight on that screen and never loaded?
Any help greatly appreciated. any help of any kind :crying:

U should flash miui using Mi flash tool or if u wanna stay on nitrogen oreo or any custom rom u should first flash the latest firmware available before flashing any rom
I have done that but unfortunately it gets stuck on boot screen. Cheers

Yes it only worked once through my flash tool. Fails now when I try. The time it did flash, I left it plugged in overnight and on boot screen but never got past the mi powered by android bootscreen

I think u r not properly flashing u have to choose clean all option in Mi flash tool otherwise it won't work and before that u should backup all the important data and files from ur internal storage

Having the same problem of signal drops in evry single rom. Its really bad to see developers not doing anything about it. And regarding that flashing, if u flash official miui by official twrp, then it will not boot. U have to use modified twrp to flash the official firmwares.

Good to see it's not just me having this issue! Have you found any solution yet? What version of twrp do you suggest? I have been using red wolf recovery

Developers have nothing to do with network drops, its Xiaomi sources.

No solution till now. Getting frequent internet disconnects. The only thing which is keeping me in the custom rom is the adoptable storage , cause m using the standard variant 16gb and its internal storage sucks.
For twrp, refer here:

same issues here, running LOS official with default kernel, had the same problem always. I thought it might be antenna related as I had to order a new usb daughterboard due to poor microphone, (had reception issues with a note1 in the past due to a fake usb board lacking gsm antenna) but I think this is not the case here. Always updating the latest firmware hoping that can help but so far not.
