I upgraded to nitrogen os 8.0 few weeks back. all going ok but flashed firmware update few days back and continually getting signal drops. the signal does not hold for longer than few minutes then disappears and comes back while later. Every rom I have tried since suffers from the same issue.
I have tried to flash miui 8 and miui 9 but although they eventually flash they stay on bootscreen (poweredby android screen) and never load. I left it overnight on that screen and never loaded?
Any help greatly appreciated. any help of any kind :crying:

U should flash miui using Mi flash tool or if u wanna stay on nitrogen oreo or any custom rom u should first flash the latest firmware available before flashing any rom
I have done that but unfortunately it gets stuck on boot screen. Cheers

Having the same problem of signal drops in evry single rom. Its really bad to see developers not doing anything about it. And regarding that flashing, if u flash official miui by official twrp, then it will not boot. U have to use modified twrp to flash the official firmwares.

Good to see it's not just me having this issue! Have you found any solution yet? What version of twrp do you suggest? I have been using red wolf recovery

No solution till now. Getting frequent internet disconnects. The only thing which is keeping me in the custom rom is the adoptable storage , cause m using the standard variant 16gb and its internal storage sucks.
For twrp, refer here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/guide-redmi-note-3-available-twrps-t3406708
same issues here, running LOS official with default kernel, had the same problem always. I thought it might be antenna related as I had to order a new usb daughterboard due to poor microphone, (had reception issues with a note1 in the past due to a fake usb board lacking gsm antenna) but I think this is not the case here. Always updating the latest firmware hoping that can help but so far not.

Hey guys,
I have tried to upgrade my Micromax A116 to the official update of 4.2 jelly bean. But as soon as i reboot my phone after flashing it using the basic SP tools method, my screen continuously goes on and off. Has anybody else come across this problem? If yes, then can you please share with me the solution? Now i am back to the stock rom of 4.1.2..Any kind of help is appreciated..Thank you..:cyclops: I really want to update it to 4.2.1..
PS: Am i the only one around here who thinks that the stock rom is better than any other custom roms for micromax a116?
There are others who reported the same problem. But as of now there doesn't seem to be any solutions as its happening to only some of CHD devices
Thanks

Possible Solution
1. Don't keep your mobile on auto-brightness.
2. Go to your WiFi and click on it and then hit the menu button on left and then go to advanced option and turn off WiFi optimization.
This will solve your flickering issue.
======================================
or enable Hardware overlay from developer options.
P.S: I am not experiencing any flickering so these steps haven't been tried by me.. try on your own and reply if it helped.:good::fingers-crossed:
I am facing the same problem. I tried hardware overlay and auto brightness but no success. I never tried WiFi though. I had flashed my device more than 10 times now.

Worth waiting for service center for 4.2 update for your phone. Stop experimenting further and stay on 4.1.2 backup.
WARNING: If you try SP TOOL to flash 4.2 on your phone for some more time, you may LOSE IMEI codes and phone will be literally useless and you need to give it to service center, with a RISK of service rejection coz you rooted it. If you dont know how to unroot and restore stock recovery, you will be in trouble. So keep using 4.1.2 and be safe. Later, dont tell people, no one warned you. Telling you from my own experience.
Should I flash using recovery mode ?

@cmahendra I have read one of your posts where you have mentioned that you had the same problem(Screen Blinking). Did you manage to get over it? Which method did you try to flash. Please share your experience. It will be quite helpful. At present I am planning to try TWRP recovery to flash. I do not know if it will work.... Will keep update.
Screen Blinking
Hello,
I followed the procedure several times.
this saturday I spent the whole day trying to flash 4.2.1 sotck rom on my phone. But, got the same screen blinking issue.
I've TWRP installed and tried the tweaked Flash-able rom as well as the SP tools flash-able one. but the same issue.
I followed below three routes:
1. Flashed stock rom .16 to make the phone factory state.
2. Then first tried flashing .20 update. Flashed successfully, but the screen started blinking as soon as the phone rebooted, i.e. right when the boot animation starts. I disabled auto brightness as well as disabled HW overlay. but the issue stayed.
3. I again flashed .16 and then 4.2.1 updated rom, first as 'Download' option in SP flash tools, but the same issue occured. I then tried, 'Firmware upgrade' still the same issue.
4. flashed .16 again; flashed TWRP, tried the tweaked zip flash-able rom, but same issue.
5. Tried custom ROM JellyDemon v2.2, the phone was not stuck at bootscreen.
6. in so much of flashing lost IMEI. so, flashed stock .16 again, installed TWRP, extended phone storage to 2.5 GB flashed Jellyxperia 4.1.2 based custom rom, swapped internal storage and then used Mobileuncle MTK toolkit to restore IMEI (I had used the same earlier to backup the IMEI to external SD card.
So, basically I'm back to square one after spending almost 8 hours to get 4.2 update :crying:. If only the blinking screen issue could be fixed :crying:

I'm using Jellyxperia. it does not have blinking issue as it is based on 4.1.2.
It's faster than stock and I like the Walkman music player. However, I noticed that battery drains faster comparing to stock 4.1.2.
My collegue in office used to play Temple Run Brave during the complete office period with breaks of about 10-20 mins (he was serving notice period ). but the battery used to be at 30-40%.
But yesterday, the battery was down to 10% much before.
However, I would be sure only after a few days usage.
Hello guys.
Recently i got one s3 that have some years of use, just for using some Sim cards, and got no problems at all, except that it sometimes freezes completely, and only a long press on power button or removing battery would solve it.
tried to flash a new Rom to see if it works, but when i go to odin, it doesn't recognizes the device, but when the phone is on home screen, it recognizes.
And now i dont know what to do because the phone doesnt turns on, it just keep stuck at "samsung" logo when powering on.
Asking because i dont know what to search on forum
If theres a way to fix, please help me lol !
If you have a custom recovery on your phone download a small ROM (Haxynox 6.0.1 is pretty small) then try to flash via Odin again, if no result then stick with Haxynox or get other ROMs

Nice
So i had a hardricked phone(i thought) but than it worked again. So i flashed pacrom and it went in a hardbrick like state again (using twrp btw)I flashed it with nano gaps and the b330 package so you could get the fingerprint scanner. Than after an hour or so it worked again. Than i started running my battery low on purpose so i knew if it was just stuck or if it was something else. When my phone dies it will reboot again and work. And then i flashed rr with the nano gapps and the b330 package and it did this again, I thought it might have something to do with the b330 package so i flashed it without and it still did this. Then i thought it might have something to do with my twrp because i was still running on version 3.0.0 so i flashed the newer version through fastboot and it did this again!!
I dont know what is going on but my phone is acting really strange.
Does someone know of this problem or has ever heard of it or is my phone just strange?

you need to consider putting your phone back to stock using the dload / update.app for your version nd leave it their until you figure out if your phone is broken or not. flashing roms is just confusing the situation.

Hi Jim, Indeed you need to fully revert back and see if it works.. i will provide you some links since we are from the same region/country.
1. Flash the stock recovery
2. Download this file and put the update.app in a file named 'dload' on the root of your sdcard.
3. Shutdown the phone hold Volume Up+Down and Hit the power button it should start booting and applying the update. Just leave it for like 30 minutes and u should be back at B130 firmware. Then you should receive a update for B140 and once you are on B140 u can upgrade back to B330.
Report back if it worked or you encountered any other issues!

did you take all the updates to b330 ? if so you can pretty safely go to CM13 + gapps nano without any worries.
use one of the newest versions of TWRP
Do a factory reset and flash only CM13 and gapps
reboot let it fully load .. reboot to recovery / backup your fresh install to ext-sd
boot back to the OS and setup your new device.
my redmi note 4x turns off only several times a day, I discovered that it only does it with the screen blocked, if the screen is on all day it does not turn off, but as soon as the screen left it blocked it goes off. someone help me?
I changed the battery but it remains the same.

I have reset factory and remains the same, I just need to install the same rom through fastboot and try if it works, I just wanted to know if someone knows the same problem to confirm me
Unlock bootloader and try with another ROM, that way you will discard software issues.

I flaseado with xiaomi miflash and I have installed the same stable rom (the last one according to the page of xiaomi) although it has improved it continues extinguishing, now it is extinguished when I finish a call. the funny thing is that after flasear and install the rom, the keys of the wifi of home and Wi-Fi zones were saved, they were not erased.

Solved:
1-I installed twrp
2- I restarted with the new twrp, and formatted the entire phone leaving it completely empty.
3-I have restarted in fastboot mode
4-with miflash I installed the last stable rom of the xiaomi page and ready
Tried almost all pie roms. Wifi disconnects after a while i lock the phone. Or it won't use data even if it seems to be connected to wifi. Changing fw, kernel, recovery didn't work. Neither did flashing fastboot rom. What should i do? (i thought notification was the problem ,but no, i figured it was wifi)

I don't get notifications after 10-15 mins after i closed that application. (For example i'm starting whatsapp then i'm closing it again. After some minutes i won't get any notifications and whatsapp will not use data if i don't open it manaully.) And sometimes notifications will come, but so late. Every settings is ok. Tried havoc, aosp extended, crdroid, superior it is still same. Changed kernel, updated firmware, it is still the same. What can i do? I feel like my phone is forcing me to use miui roms

the link has given me by a rom tester for redmi 5 plus on youtube. he said he didn't have problems too. I know 2 person using this and they don't have problems. But anyway i will try another one thanks. And also can it be related with gapps? i always flash nano and i always download my applications with google backup. But i tried to delete some apps and download them manually and that didn't work too.

i tried 3-4 firmwares and that didn't work (new ones). Now I changed my recovery to red wolf and gapps nano to bitgapps. let's see if it works.. If it won't, i will try older firmwares.
it's still happening. I lock the screen and everything is ok for 10-15 min. But after that apps doesn't use data anymore so there is no notifications too. If i start something requires internet connection like google chrome, they will come. Pls someone help :/ i checked every settings
