Hello,
I recently bought Lenovo A6010. Previously I used MIUI and now with the original Android 5.0.2 that in on the Lenovo, it feels a bit cut down. Is there any way to Install miui or android 6.0 or any better custom rom? Thank you.

Greetings,
Unfortunately there is no custom ROM for Lenovo A6010 available.
Kindest regards
Trafalgar Square

It's avaliable now!
I have already started Mokee 5.1.1 (based on CM12.1(Android 5.1.1)) on a6010 8&16gb versions.

Someone has the FULL OTA ROM for Lenovo A6010 ?
Downloaded 3 versions from the internet, but not working anymore.
My phone won't boot, but the red led show me when is connectting to the PC or to the charger
How can I flash my phone ?

Does anyone have the problem with the phone being really slow and unresponsive?
Also, any tips on rooting and any news regarding custom roms? Thanks

I have 8G version and is working fine. Not working 4G function because the stock rom by Digi Mobil carrier (Romania) has been damaged by me with KingRoot.
Now I put stock rom A6010_USR_S023_1511062300_Q113507.1_BMAIN_8G_ROW_qpst.7z instead of A6010_USR_S002_1510222300_Q113507.1_BMAIN_8G_DIGI_qpst.7z
With A6010_USR_S023 the phone restarting the network carrier (from 3-4 seconds in 3-4 seconds) if the 4G functions is activated from the settings. Is working fine, without issues in 3G mode (4G function disabled)
For Digi Mobil carrier we need the following rom's:
A6010_USR_S002_1510222300_Q113507.1_BMAIN_8G_DIGI_qpst.7z
or
A6010_USR_S003_1511042300_Q113507.1_BMAIN_8G_DIGI_qpst.7z \
If someone can accest to all stock rom's from here, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

you could give a try to the rom from the thread below. It's for the A6000/A6000Plus, but i was able to install it without any problem, and haven't noticed any issue so far. It is a very smooth and stable rom, and seems to fit the A6010 in spite of the hardware differences.

Use the guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/lenovo-p780-guide-t2658144
If you decide to flash the phone, be careful. The rule is, if it's not broke, don't try to fix it
However, in case you still decide to go for it :
Watch out when you're using SP Flash on a recent model, it might (almost) brick your phone.
In addition to the thread mentioned above, also read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/p780-bricked-flashing-wrong-rom-doesnt-t2749683
This phone is quite nice, and flashing different ROMs is easy if you know what you're doing. Please read as much info on this forum from other users first if you're not experienced in doing these things.
One point of attention is the modem in the phone. It's a bit problematic. Flashing a new rom might knock out your second sim card or give you bad reception.
Please refer to http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/test-radios-4-row-t2761568 for tips.
thanks guys thats great, i have managed to put English cmw im just looking to be able to flash a new rom on it through cmw as all my computers run ubuntu or other linux.
any links would be great, thanks

Hi. You need to do this:
1. go to Contacts - press menu button - fum menu press more features and settings - go to more contacts and feature - merge duplicate contacts.
2. After that you must do one thing that is hard iff you have to many contacts: edit contacts and put your country prefix in front of all contacts.
Tell me if this helped you.
Hi, thanks for reply. I had an update and its sorted it thanks.
Still want to know how to flash rom from recovery (without pc) cheers
Sent from my Lenovo P780 using XDA Free mobile app
I hear you, also on Ubuntu, and although the latest version of SP Flash is supposed to work on Linux, didn't figure out how that would work, I guess it's command line messing.
So I got a Windows PC from somebody, sorry but that's the easiest way.
Unfortunately, P780 (and all MTK devices), are easy to flash so everyone is using that method.
Installing from recovery is not that popular, but there are exceptions.
Most of the time, you start out from a stock version, which you have now and backup, backup, backup that one. You'll probably need it if you want to install another ROM.
As far as I have learnt, there are a couple of ROMs you can install given that you have a stock ROM already running.
Either you stay on this forum, and you can try Life or Vibe, or you go to www.needrom.com/phone-roms/lenovo/serial-p/p780/ . Most ROMs there are recovery installable, and so suitable for your situation. So far, had no problems using ROW base with one of these.
vibeui.com (in Chinese, but apparently the 'official' Lenovo daughter site), offers Vibe 1.0 and 1.5 as recovery installable.
I've installed and played around with SLX, Vibe 1.0 and Vibe 1.5 (KitKat), all installable from recovery.
Although I tried to stay with Vibe 1.5 (because KitKat), I reverted back, mainly because:
- signal was worse than other ROMs
- I have a magnetic case working fine on stock but not at all on Vibe 1.5
- Battery drain problems, especially because of location services
- Location services not working for applications
- All in all, just a bit too buggy
SLX was the most pure Android I installed, but I missed the Lenovo specific additions.
In all honesty, I like the stock ROM after all, the Lenovo apps ans launcher, and settings are actually pretty good. I in fact like the Chinese stock rom more than the ROW (more settings, security app has more options,...), but a lot of stuff is Chinese, so no
One tip : on a stock version, install Xposed and the Gravitybox module, it's almost as good as installing another ROM. So much tweaking and modding, that I can customize whatever I want.

Mokee android L for z7 mini

Hi,
i was using Mokee 4.4.4 and since a few weeks I'm using Mokee 5.0.2
It is a rom like CM12 but with some customization, not as many as AOKP but still more than in CM12
It is multilangual and as stable as cm12
It was updated recently : http://www.yirom.com/rom/index/344
did someone already download it ? If yes is it possible to upload it somewhere else like mega ?
Thank you in advance
I'm running the 23/3 version of Mokee 5.02 as of a few hours. So far so good!
Does dual sim works well?
And battery consumption is similar to 4.4.4 RC7?
Did you detected any bugs?
Is it stable enough for a daily device?

I'm using the previous version (1st march) and I used it daily
i don't use 2 sim cards.
I had 1 reboot (not a wished, it was because of a crash) in nearly one month

The previous version dual SIM worked very well. I'll know if the dual SIM will work well for the new version later this week as I will be travelling.
Yes I'm using it for a daily work phone as I rely on it. Thou I have my ultra-stable iPhone 6 as my personal phone/backup :victory:
can someome upload it ?
EDIT: Someone post a mirror in other topic
I used this one : http://www.gamefront.com/files/24894999/MK50.2-nx507j-201503230233-UNOFFICIAL.zip
I think I get more spontaneous reboots with this new version than with the last version. However, it could be due to the memory leak issue all Android Lollipop phones have and isn't fixed until 5.1
Hoping to see Mokee 5.02 upgrade soon to 5.1 and integrate native dual SIM support...

This has been confirmed in several posts on some of the Chinese bbs. Apparently, someone has released a temporary fix; although, I haven't tried it yet. I agree, I'm having the same problem. Additionally, it vibrates for everything. I currently have it set to vibrate only on phone and SMS, yet it does for everything and I cannot find out how to make it stop.

I didn't noticed this kind of error
but I admit this is because of my config => my phone does not vibrate and it is my xiaomi MiBand who vibrate for specific notifications
does anybody have a custom recovery that works with android 5.0 on z7 mini.
I have stock 5.0 installed and wanted to flash the newest mokee. but when i want to make a backup through the old mokee cwm, but it always says "cant mount data".I would thing thats because of the changed partitions.
Anyway, is there any (non-chinese) recovery that i can use with stock 5.0?

Here in the z7 mini rom thread on post 781 (top) is a link to TWRP 2.8.5.0. However, I don't know if the new mokee works after flashing the nubia version of 5.0 because I don't think (someone can correct me) the mokee uses unified storage yet. Can someone verify this?
Thanks, trying TWRP right now.
So anybody knows if i can flash Mokee 5.02 after flashing Offical 5.0 with the new kind of partitions?

I did not tried it right now as i'm still discoverng this android 5 by nubia...
i just tried it 1 min and can already say that I may switch to mokee soon (I'll try the nubia rom 1 week I guess..)
the UI feels slow
I don't like the nubia theme
and beside of that, the French translation f(cuoco92 rom) is partial and canadian only (other timezone, other clock format, other keyboard layout...)
nubia's rom seems more unstable than mokee (from the first comments I read on cuoco92 facebook page)
it is also very BIG (double the size...)
If you are afraid of bricking the phone, you can also use the stupid chinese tool to install again kitkat on the phone, then install again mokee
but i guess (not sure !!!! ) that it should be possible to install mokee without doing this pain in the ass trick :/

No, you cannot. See this thread on the Nubia forum. CM12 and Mokee are still technically considered 4.4 because they do not use the unified storage. You will most likely brick the phone if you attempt to flash it. You have to first use the Nubia updater to go back to at least 1.82, then you can use CM12 or Mokee.

Hi, I tried porting/installing few roms from mtkroms.com to my ZTe Vec 3G, but they don't fully work - Navigation bar (home, back, recent) is missing, can't activate it, data connection didn't worked, and only on one of them I was able to log to gsm network. I see someone here had success installing rom to vec 3g, could you share how you do that, which rom did you used?

Hi
I know - its been ages. So sorry man I didn't check on this thread for so long. Since the time you've posted, I've moved on from this phone to a Samsung galaxy note 4, which is great so far
To answer, your question, yes I did indeed manage to flash some roms from mtkroms.com and get them properly working. If you'd like, I can try upload some that I managed to successfully port and flash. Here is a list of the roms i managed to get working.
-I had an AICP (Android Ice Cold Project) rom which was the one i liked best and used for the most amount of time (Marshmallow). As far as I could remember, everything was working, and I'd recommend this one.
-I had a Resurrection Remix rom (Marshmallow), which was also really awesome and has MUCH more customization options compared to the AICP one, but the performance wasn't as good.
-I had a CM12.1 rom, which I barely used, mainly because it was lollipop and the performance was not the best. Also, you'll have to change the language because by default it's on Russian.
It'll be best if you chose just one - because here in Australia our internet is absolute trash and uploading two or three roms takes a loong time. Thanks!!:good:

8. You can install Xposed zip and other Mods you feel fit. (Plz ensure system space as the ROM is feature heavy)
9. Happy flashing
Below is the link for the original ROM and GAAPS

No Bugs
USSD code is working
SMS working
3G working
Camera (Front& Back) working
YouTube working
Ok Google Mic is working
Off Mode charging is working (no animation)
Battery removal, changing sims, low battery off will not result in Boot loop so no more wipe cache required
Let me know if someone is unable to flash or has any other issues/bugs
Here are few Screenshots
Guys can anyone test and update here.
I found an issue while receiving calls, the network drops and call gets disconnected
Outgoing calls work Like a charm as I only tested this ROM for outgoing calls. Had been on outgoing calls for hours on this ROM but didn't realized the incoming call issue.
Thnx
EDIT
Plz give full permissions to Telephone app. this will fix the incoming call error
Enjoy

Hi Mohammed
great work with this rom,
just need some clarification, will this ROM work for innjoo fire (standard)?
16GB onboard and dual sim
seems this phone is labelled differently in different countries, even through specs identical
here in RSA its labelled innoo fire, but outside it seems identical to i2S
is it safe to flash this Rom? have you tried this before?

I cannot say it surely coz innjoo is selling fire devices in middle east as well
If u wanna try it, use the recoveries available for i2 (twrp & philz)
If the device boots up then you are good to go
Remember that all ur data will be lost when u wipe ur device to flash any new rom and wrong roms or recoveries may result in dead devices
Only way out will to to flash the stock rom using SP Flash tool (if it's a soft brick)
You are doing all this at your own risk
Best of luck

thanks for the Advice mohammed,
Im still trying to confirm its the same device, by getting you CPUZ info before I try anything,
I would rather be cautious and get you the correct info to advise me if its safe to proceed or not.
Hi Mohammed,
I have attached below the screenshots of my phone specs,
please advise if this will work for me, before I give it a try and brick my phone inadvertently
.
Will it work for i2s

Hasn't been tested in i2s, technically it should work but please make a backup of ur existing ROM before u flash as some users has trouble with other i2 custom ROMs on i2s
Best of luck

The Chipset is different in your device (MT6582 - Quadcore) than the one in i2 (MT6592 - Octacore)
I2 has only 1GB RAm, ur device has 2GB
i2 has HD screen (720p) urs is lower resolution
so there is a big chance this will not work
I don't have that device so can port it either
Should I report my stock and the rr ROM newly since I have a i2s

If u mean u can flash it on i2s, u can if u have a twrp or Philz recovery working for ur device
I would recommended to backup ur current ROM using the backup feature of these recoveries and then flash
Remembered you are doing it on your own risk

Lenovo Tab 2 a8-50l ROM and TWRP

Is it fine to use any ROM for an a8-50 or do I need one specifically for the a8-50l model?
twrp and custom rom can be found here Mod edit: 4pda link removed.
you must have an account to download some files from this forum otherwise you will get a 404 error. These roms work i tested

No, ROM can depend from device to device even if it is in the same model range (Lenovo Tab 2 A8-50 and A8-50L) using an inappropriate rom may brick your phone or malfunction
