Hello
The story :
- bought P760, brand new, few hours later i noticed it was from other network operator but i didn't care since it was sim unlocked by factory
- Jelly Bean update, sweet
- unlocked bootloader, installed few custom roms, stick do CyanogenMod
- install 10.1.2
- almost one year passed by and then from nowhere, the phone looses GSM
- tried with switching to 2G mode, it helped for one day.
- posted thread to XDA, get suggested to flash stock 10H (done but i didn't check how it behaves)
- flashed V20C, installed recovery, flash 10.1.3 and the problem still occurs
After some research i changed my sim card to new type (old one was 6 years old), and the problem gone for like 2 days.
I've done logcat and logged network states
LOGCAT
Code:
http://pastebin.com/i6tkn9d5
NETWORK LOG i set it for whole night and stopped it later in the day

Is there someone who can help with my L9?
Try switch to 3g only. In Poland we have similar problem with one of operators that is using national roaming. How does signal bar look when you have problem? Does it show full signal but anybody can't reach you? Or you have no signal? It's the same after reboot?

Mam plusa, a telefon jest z play.
Signal bar looks frozen, it stucks on 2-3 bars and icon shows H+. No one can reach me either and i can't call/SMS no one. After reboot everything seems fine but after random time ril crashes.

Ok, i tried to fix the problem by myself and i think i achieved something. After flashing back to stock v10a, i extracted baseband from it. Then flashed v20c i guess with v10a BB. Then recovery and flash newest pacc ROM with newest kernel and so far so good, connection keeps alive, and i can use 3g all the time.

well, in summary this didn't fix the problem.

hi ,
can anyone let me know if B370 is good to update? I am currently on B180 and will be updating only if it is better UI and functions including power saving.
thanks again.
Palbhan
Hi. It feels really smooth. More than B180 or B330. No change regarding battery life. As for the UI, no major changes : you now push incoming notifications on the top of the screen upward (not to the right as in Lollipop). Nothing huge on that subject.
What I really like is the smoothness of the OS. I suggest that you should upgrade

@palbhan It's a nice update you should go for it, if you want Stock Android feel, then you can also try MoDaCo's Stock Style ROM.

It is Mido.
As for your warranty, ask your supplier.
My supplier is my polish operator - PLAY. It's my first Xiaomi device. In LG i would relock bootloader and was okay, in Samsung I just had to keep 0x0 KNOX flag or somehow back to 0x0. Could you tell me how about Xiaomi devices? Does they have some security like KNOX, or they're just looking if bootloader is unlocked, or?
I read somewhere that you only need to flash stock rom(global)
Also i think you need to re-lock bootloader

Knox feature is exclusively on SAMSUNG devices.
On Xiaomi, locking bootloader serve as their system protection against people who will try to modify your phone while locked.
Unlocking bootloader WILL NOT void your warranty but in equivalent, its unsecured.
Rooting WILL NOT void warranty also.
But Fashing custom roms? well , officially, it will void the warranty but in some cases, they just letting it past.
In case you wanna use the phone to warranty,
I suggest reverting back from any modification like custom rom (if any), to official MIUI and stock recovery. (im not saying that it will recover warranty, u know just for hiding some changes done)
Another thing, read some warranty notes from your reseller if any.

I know only Samsungs have KNOX, just was asking if Xiaomi has it's own kind of security like KNOX.
Unlocking bootloader and rooting will not break warranty? Oh, it's impossible! Or i've read bad? Is really Xiaomi so cool, that they let owners customize their phones?
By the way - is flashin custom roms worth that on this device? Maybe better battery, performance, security, new features? (i'm not asking about customization like for example Lineage OS provides).

Knox is for only Sammy's phones nothin else.
Dont worry, it will not break warranty after rooting/unlocking bootloader.
About custom rom. For me its a worth. Its subjective btw.
What's worth exactly? Latest security update, oms support, fluid and responsive UI, better notifications handling, added some tweaks and latest features that baked into AOSP, and so forth.
also the upcoming Oreo support on mido too
All of which except the camera, audio, Video call support and some little bugs.
For battery life, mostly 9+ but its depends on different circumstances.
Thank You so much for replying. Maybe I will install one, which rom would You recommend?
And what about 4K pictures, slow motion video on stock? Where can I find photo resolution ? Why on slow motion mode videos look so horrible, like they were captured with nokia 3310?

I'll let that decision and exploring to you.
Ive used LineageOS, AOSPEX, ViperOS, RR and Slim. With each diff. level customizations and etc.
All are pretty stable and some others too. Pls look and check their threads.
Im currently on ViperOS.
About your other questions: one thing i'd say,
Camera isn't outstanding on mido.
Don't worry about warranty, you can always go back to stock and even relock bootloader if you want so there is no trace that it was ever modified.
PS.
Nie wiem gdzie kupiłeś telefon ale polski dystrybutor ABC Data zajął stanowisko że odblokowywanie bootloadera nie narusza gwarancji.

Yeah, this camera is.... crap, comparing to my RIP LG V10. But battery is freaking good, 2 hours screen on time and it took only 10%, it's amazing.
Thank you once again. As a fan of modifications, propably I will flash and test these roms. BTW - as I see LineageOS Oreo is already up for our devices.
If you want to upgrade your Rom look on the Xiaomi Site for Customers and Users. There you can Download Roms for your Phone Modell without the Problem of loose Guarantee.

You can unlock, root without voiding warranty. Only if you are giving for repair at service centers etc, download fastboot rom, extract and you will find "flashall and relock.bat" something name.. Run the bat and it will relock. Or you can simply use mi flash tool

You can still visit service center with custom Rom installed.
Hello everyone, I have been using mi 9.
I want to open this discussion to find out which Rom version is most suitable for daily use.
I need the battery, is smooth, non missed or late notification.
I used to use the latest Pixel rom but had trouble opening the device with my fingerprint. Sometimes when opening this phone, touchscreen can't be use. Must to
Turn off and on again to use.
Rom Havoc, I have a problem after using about 2 days my phone is slow and not smooth anymore. Sometimes touchscreen can't be use like the Pixel Rom .:crying::crying:
Everyone can tell me Which rom do you think is the most suitable ? :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

I heavily recommend Project404 because its smooth, reliable, and fingerprint works pretty well (unless you flash a custom kernel, that can break fod). The Cepheus team has done an amazing job updating this ROM. It doesnt come with gapps pre-installed but you can install FlameGapps to get google services. If you are looking for a more battery friendly option, I also recommend BiTGapps. The standby time is amazing and and passes safetynet out of the box, even if you have installed magisk! They have a telegram channel in which you can find the latest version. I won't be posting links because that violates rules. Make sure you flash the latest european firmware so you can get everything working! it should be 12.0.1.0 QFAEUXM. Hope this helps!
I vote PE+ !
am using cr droid with Quantic r19 kernel and the battery is very good
PE based ExtendedUI. Nice, fast, smooth, good battery, no problems with ANX camera, safetynet pass and fingerprint, some extra settings, no reboots. Great rom and it's my favourite, but I'm not sure it's still supported. Definitely it's good for daily use. I had no problems after over one month of using it. Temporarily I'm on stock MIUI 12 to test it and I'm not very happy.
