It is Mido.
As for your warranty, ask your supplier.
My supplier is my polish operator - PLAY. It's my first Xiaomi device. In LG i would relock bootloader and was okay, in Samsung I just had to keep 0x0 KNOX flag or somehow back to 0x0. Could you tell me how about Xiaomi devices? Does they have some security like KNOX, or they're just looking if bootloader is unlocked, or?
I read somewhere that you only need to flash stock rom(global)
Also i think you need to re-lock bootloader

Knox feature is exclusively on SAMSUNG devices.
On Xiaomi, locking bootloader serve as their system protection against people who will try to modify your phone while locked.
Unlocking bootloader WILL NOT void your warranty but in equivalent, its unsecured.
Rooting WILL NOT void warranty also.
But Fashing custom roms? well , officially, it will void the warranty but in some cases, they just letting it past.
In case you wanna use the phone to warranty,
I suggest reverting back from any modification like custom rom (if any), to official MIUI and stock recovery. (im not saying that it will recover warranty, u know just for hiding some changes done)
Another thing, read some warranty notes from your reseller if any.

I know only Samsungs have KNOX, just was asking if Xiaomi has it's own kind of security like KNOX.
Unlocking bootloader and rooting will not break warranty? Oh, it's impossible! Or i've read bad? Is really Xiaomi so cool, that they let owners customize their phones?
By the way - is flashin custom roms worth that on this device? Maybe better battery, performance, security, new features? (i'm not asking about customization like for example Lineage OS provides).

Knox is for only Sammy's phones nothin else.
Dont worry, it will not break warranty after rooting/unlocking bootloader.
About custom rom. For me its a worth. Its subjective btw.
What's worth exactly? Latest security update, oms support, fluid and responsive UI, better notifications handling, added some tweaks and latest features that baked into AOSP, and so forth.
also the upcoming Oreo support on mido too
All of which except the camera, audio, Video call support and some little bugs.
For battery life, mostly 9+ but its depends on different circumstances.
Thank You so much for replying. Maybe I will install one, which rom would You recommend?
And what about 4K pictures, slow motion video on stock? Where can I find photo resolution ? Why on slow motion mode videos look so horrible, like they were captured with nokia 3310?

I'll let that decision and exploring to you.
Ive used LineageOS, AOSPEX, ViperOS, RR and Slim. With each diff. level customizations and etc.
All are pretty stable and some others too. Pls look and check their threads.
Im currently on ViperOS.
About your other questions: one thing i'd say,
Camera isn't outstanding on mido.
Don't worry about warranty, you can always go back to stock and even relock bootloader if you want so there is no trace that it was ever modified.
PS.
Nie wiem gdzie kupiłeś telefon ale polski dystrybutor ABC Data zajął stanowisko że odblokowywanie bootloadera nie narusza gwarancji.

Yeah, this camera is.... crap, comparing to my RIP LG V10. But battery is freaking good, 2 hours screen on time and it took only 10%, it's amazing.
Thank you once again. As a fan of modifications, propably I will flash and test these roms. BTW - as I see LineageOS Oreo is already up for our devices.
If you want to upgrade your Rom look on the Xiaomi Site for Customers and Users. There you can Download Roms for your Phone Modell without the Problem of loose Guarantee.

You can unlock, root without voiding warranty. Only if you are giving for repair at service centers etc, download fastboot rom, extract and you will find "flashall and relock.bat" something name.. Run the bat and it will relock. Or you can simply use mi flash tool

My Z3TC is at 5.1.1. If I downgrade to 5.0.3 to root with Kingroot, will I lose root when I upgrade back to 5.1.1? What about when I update to 6.0, when it arrives?

You're welcome. AFAIK, rooting your device, besides loosing your warranty, also leads to not being able to upgrade your device. You can download an update on a rooted device, but it won't install.

You can root without losing the DRM keys and you lose warranty (only while you have root, if you install a firmware by flashtool is recovered), then you can also update without losing root if you flash in the recovery a pre-rooted firmware.
- install 5.0.2 firmware
- get root with kingroot
- Install Xzdualrecovery (install versión)
- Flash supersu
- Flash the uodate firmware pre-rooted in the recovery
Cyanogenmod for the Z3 compact tablet
Does anyone have any experience with cyanogenmod for the z3 compact tablet (scorpion_windy). There is one thread under original development but it has not seen any activity since last year.

I used cm two weeks, the performance is almost the same but the battery is worse and I didnt find a way of recovering the FM radio, so Im in stock again.
Emma is driving me nuts. I´ve followed all the instructions even with the ini file. The dam thing doesn't connect (unable to connect).
I´ve tried compatibility mode (I´m using W10Pro), turn off windows firewall and manual java update, but no avail.
But at the login screen, settings the connection (direct) is ok. Aaarrrggghhh!
kingroot 4.8.0 works on 5.1.1, no need to downgrade to 5.0.2

If you can live without reliable Bluetooth till it's fixed, the CM12.1 builds are amazing as far as performance and battery life go:
Battery thus far
Screen time thus far
Mostly browsing, news, content, etc... not much of a gamer but when I do it doesn't hiccup.
i would love bro...but i use A2DP to listen music wirelessly with my beewi adaptor! maybe i will stick to stock kitkat..and i hope screen mirroring to work!!!!!

Hi,
It comes with Lollipop, which I use for a fair amount of time now. My advice would be to stick with the stock Lollipop ROM. It's stable, battery life, using stamina modus, is good enough. Hopefully Marsmallow will soon be released by Sony.

I don't care but i love it!the only negative is that is veeery slim ? and is sliping from my hands..with a cheap silicon case it will be more easy to hold and write!

Yes kos it is beautiful, screen is realy great, speakers...better than most but nasty at full throttle. As for cases, Ebay yourself one of the Sony flip cases for it. While maybe a bit pricey, I really like mine. It's great for media consumption allowing a wide range of screeen angles, quite slim and very elegant. At home I use no case, but when it goes out I pop it on.
I've owned my SGP612 for about 6mos now, and use it mostly to play RR3, so I've left it bone stock at 4.4.4 V23..0.1.A.0.167. I'm thinking I'd like to root it, but the one thing I haven't seen mentioned is how to make a backup of this pure stock device, and will this backup allow me to restore it, including the DRM crap (if I ever need it) to a virginal state? I.e. one complete backup of all the parts in one place, or do I have to back up various bits and then reassemble it to restore it? How does one restore it? Sony has a software suite, will this allow you to restore a semi bricked unit, or just one with a ROM (custom/rooted etc.) that you want to restore to factory fresh? Can I always get back to 4.4.4? The comments here lead me to believe 4.4.4 is overall best for battery (it's a champ but it's a young device!) I want to say flashing the Google Play Edition Marshmallow RUU onto my M8 has been quite good overall, so I hope it can do the same for this device when it eventually drops.
Minor question: I want to be able to cast to chromecast to show my RR3 on my tv etc. Do the lollipop versions add cast your screen support in the pulldown menu like in my pure google devices? The Sony "throw" option doesn't work with anything I have now.
So...big problem first...
Backups/restoration options?
dude you can root it without unlock the bootloader!drm keys are lost only if you unlock bootloader.but even you unlock bootloader, you can back them up before! Also if you flash a custom recovery, you can flash prerooted roms.also with flashtool you can go either to KK,LP or MM rom from your PC at any time!so you dont have to worry!I am from the begining on stock KK heavily debloated from sony craps with a dedicated flashable zip..and my tablet is super fast and I have 10-11 screen on time with browsing the web!
Στάλθηκε από το SGP611 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk
So I only need to back up the keys? Can I reinstall any stock ROM and then plop the keys back in the right place and it will for all intents and purposes "stock". In other words I don't need to make a Nandroid backup and separately back up the DRM keys as I can always find a stock ROM and flash it with flashtool, then pop the keys in?
Since of my various posts here I receive A LOT of PM from users having a Verizon Moto Z interested in root.
As of today, we don't have any root solution for them because of locked bootloader.
BUT I've owned a LG G2 for some years, it has never had its bootloader unlocked BUT it had TWO different solutions (Loki & Bump) not only to have root but to install A LOT of different ROMs too...
It's harder today (since of all the security "holes" closed by Google with new Android versions...) but FOR SURE not impossible...
So, what do you think about setting up a "bounty" (as already done on XDA for other phones...) for a developer able to root/twrp them?
It could be done in this thread eventually...

I posted a thread in regarding to a flash sale by one of the retail giant store in the US, Best buy having it sold for only $120! If a lot of people picked one up, perhaps we can all pitch in and maybe donate a device to a developer to work on since this device is costly in retail price and not really a favorite among buyers.

Are you experienced in finding exploits to root these kind of phones? I wished we had a true ex developer of motorola or Verizon to help us start. I had the LeEco le max 2 and gave that up for this due to lack of software development, comes to find out the Moto Z is pretty much same boat. I guess it is too new.
the same happened to moto x force
until today even big bounty did not make it
so moto x force thread is almost dead
if american version stay unlocked not many developers are
gonna be interested and we might be "slightly doomed"

Unfortunately no, I like to think I'm a renaissance man with phones, but I've always jumped in post root. Not being a Samsung has me feeling less sure about messing around too much as well, not familiar with verizon bootloader work either as I'm a recent switch from Sprint/Tmo. Loving the device so far, yesterday was first full day of use. Root would be amazing, so I'll at least dig around. Would love to make a custom rom someday too but won't hold my breath

I continue to be of the idea that the way should be like the one used with "bump" and LG G2...
Since there is nougat now for the unlocked moto z, is it possible to use that firmware for the verizon device even with a locked bootloader? A developer of a dif device told me that snapdragon devices have what's called emergency download mode, and you can put a firmware from a different unlocked device onto it. Also he mentioned you can try to use a flash tool from xiaomi called mi flash tool. I am not brave enough to try this but if someone have knowledge of what they are doing, and if this work please tell us.
We may be helped by a Dirty Cow, but like the mentioned flash tool it doesnt help unlocking our BL

I was also able to do this in the settings menu of my z-force (xt1650-02) can any one explain what this option means if its not actually unlocking the BL then one could only assume that it enables unlocking but doesn't ACTUALLY ünlock.
The OEM unlock option in the developer options menu means that it will allow unlocking, granted you have the unlock code from Motorola and you put the code in using the fastboot command. The problem is, we don't have the code, so that option doesn't actually do anything whatsoever.
Hope someone could find a way to unlock the BL of this variant.
Don't we all hope someone could unlock the bootloader? I've almost given up hope. But I hope someone finds a way to bypass Verizon's locked bootloader on this phone. Id actually PAY to get the BL unlocked if I could. I heard Verizon's released BL codes for a few Moto phones in the past, so here's to hoping...

I got lucky last time with their Moto x 2014 version. They weren't gonna release marshmallow on it so instead they said screw it and let people unlock the boot loaders so we could update it ourselves (my Moto x is currently on 7.1.2 and more updated than this phone). It was a great day when I heard about that. So pretty much the only way Verizon would consider it is when the device is out of date and not worth them updating which will probably be after 8.0 at this point (if they even actually release that) so I give it another year if they do it. Around the time android P will be released is my guess.
In case anyone is unaware and comes looking for this nowadays, here is a link to the Motorola BL Unlock code page: https://support.motorola.com/us/en/solution/MS87215.
After 9.0 came out (first unsupported on 1650s) this model was added.

Sadly, as of today my Moto XT 1650-02 remains locked. Upon entering bootloader unlock data Motorola page says: Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking.

Sadly, as of today my XT 1650-02 remains bootloader locked. Motorola page says: "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking" and so, no blue button to get the bootloader unlock code appears. How comes the 1650s were added and mine is not unlockable? Where did you get that info from? Cheers!

Hello every one,
I saw following thread on xda where MIUI 12 is available for Note 9S (aka Note 9 Pro in India, I guess).

My query is since it is not available in my country (Pakistan), Can I flash the Turkish Rom using Local Update Method?

Yes the Redmi Note 9s Global or Turkey is a curtana device.
Sent from my Redmi Note 9 Pro using XDA Labs
I'm using the Turkish 12.0.1 ROM (QJWTRXM) on a global 9S (QJWMIXM), it works fine. Make sure the firmware you're flashing is for curtana, and you should be good.
(Edit: I should probably clarify that this is a fastboot ROM I installed by unlocking the bootloader, flashing and then re-locking. If you want to install it as an OTA update and keep all of your data, I'm not sure whether that would work. It probably won't brick anything even if it fails, at worst it should just reject the update because of a mismatch.)

Oh. It's fine, I guess. To be honest there's not much they changed from MIUI 11, even the new control center is disabled by default. I don't use any of the stock apps or the battery/storage stats, the camera UI is slightly more annoying, and everything else is the same. The Google Now/Assistant/whatever panel on the leftmost homescreen was also replaced with Mi bloatware, though I don't use that either and it might be something specific to the Chinese/Turkish ROMs that will be fixed in Global.
And you can have apps in floating windows which is... a thing, I guess. I'm sure it will be useful someday, it's just kind of gimmicky since video players, chat apps and things you'd want in floating windows can usually do it already on their own, with much better UX.
To be honest the only reason I use MIUI is because it has the best "iPhone knockoff" launcher you can't get anywhere else, which is even more hilarious with the navigation gestures and the control center. They knew what they were doing, but it's honestly quite nice.

Oh. It's fine, I guess. To be honest there's not much they changed from MIUI 11, even the new control center is disabled by default. I don't use any of the stock apps or the battery/storage stats, the camera UI is slightly more annoying, and everything else is the same. I locked it personally because SafetyNet (and by extension the things that rely on it) won't work with an unlocked bootloader, and I haven't installed Magisk. I don't see how the act of locking the bootloader itself could cause any problems, the people reporting those usually installed something through recovery or tried to flash a curtana ROM on a joyeuse.
You also can't really "hard brick" a properly designed phone by flashing software on it, unless you're doing something ridiculous like overvolting the CPU or the battery and frying it (if that's even possible). Even if you were to overwrite the entire nand chip with zeroes or random data, it SHOULD be possible to just flash the stock firmware back onto it with EDL or fastboot. The issue here is that the wrong firmware can also overwrite/break the bootloader and fastboot (somehow, I haven't seen this happen on any other phone in my life), and EDL mode on recent Xiaomi devices requires a patched firmware or you to pay someone a couple bucks for their authorized account.
The EU version miUi12 for curtana is available in Mi servers for download.
Why is there a need to release Turkish an Russian specific rom? Translation ?

That one's flagged as a "beta" and is only available as a recovery variant, fyi. You might have to install the MIUI 11 EU fastboot ROM first and update it with that.
There's a Russian and an Indian version too, even though both of those languages are present in all of the ROMs. It probably has more to do with local regulations and what's preinstalled on each ROM (India might have a Flipkart APK, Netflix might not be available in Russia or Turkey so that region doesn't get it, the EU has regulations that say you have to let your users choose their browser and search engine, Russia might specifically have an embargo on a company, etc.) If you're really interested in the differences between the ROMs you could wait until 12.0.1.0 is released for all regions, extract all the files you can from the system/cust/recovery/userdata/etc partitions in the firmware and run a diff tool on them. It could literally be as simple as "one of them has a Netflix.apk inside and one of them doesn't".
For what it's worth, the filesizes between the ROMs are wildly different (RU 3.8GB, TR 3.5GB, IN 3.0GB) and I'd be willing to bet most of that comes from 50-100MB preinstalled APKs.
That makes sense.
They could do a slim/no apps global version. I am debloating it anyways, would save me a lot of time
So I was bored and decided to do just that, and... pretty much. I haven't delved into the boot image or the system partition yet because I can't be assed to compile the tools and copy everything over to a Linux VM, but I can't imagine there's anything substantially different between the two, like completely different radio and camera drivers or something. Interestingly, abl.elf is different, which I think (?) is the actual bootloader binary, though it might just be a new version (one of the ROMs was compiled two weeks later). Another fun fact is that the flashing script has almost twice as many files to flash as earlier Xiaomi images from 2013-2014. Even the partitions are getting bloated.

Yeah, I wish. The EEA (European) ROM is probably your best bet, since it has the most consumer protection laws to adhere to. I think it even comes with ads disabled by default, or it has to show you a prompt or something.

Now we have a full-featured 2.8 inch Android 11 smartphone in the format of a classic push-button phone released, having a touchscreen, GPS, BT5.0, IR remote control, dual-band Wi-Fi, two cameras, and all this with MTK A22 chipset. Obviously, QIN F21 Pro is the best in its class.
Unfortunately, QIN F21 Pro is positioned by the manufacturer as a phone for students, hence they closed (and keep closing in the new versions of the firmware!) loopholes and ways to install own third-party software, so there is no standard ability to install any apk locally or through adb, and in the native Chinese market there are only educational programs for China.
The only way to install your own software is the APK renaming and its substitution via PC at the moment when it is being downloaded by the official App Market.
So, guys, any ideas of how to make this phone unchained? It has big potential indeed, so having Google Services would be great, but the bootloader is locked, the FW is signed, MTK flashing tool refuses to flash unsigned paritions.

Can you upload the system folder?
You can read the firmware from the device with uni android tool!
I wonder, I've read that this device is rootable (there seems to be some guides on chinese forums about this) I just couldn't find any info regarding if it has a unlocked bootloader? Would LineageOS be possible on this? Global version is coming later this year, according to this video.
Ive ordered 2 cracked Chinese units with the mtk6761 with unlocked bootloader + root + playstore.
The rumored Global version will be using the Unisoc T310 soc with its bootloader cannot be unlocked and very secured based on 2 years old phones running it

Unlocking unisoc bootloader was always a problem because you Need the rsa4096 private key, and generate a unique signature.bin for each device by its own token.

when it comes ill try to backup the firmware making a scatterfile via box so it could be flash using mtk flashtool. maybe you could try that. theres also lots of turtorials how to backup MTK firmware and create a scatterfile with that if the device can boot to preloader mode
cool! does contacts syncs properly? does it has a custom TWRP already? can it boot recovery via adb or other root advanced reboot app?

Do you have full firmware? Can you enter factory flash mode? There are many tools on the internet how to bypass mtk soc securities for dumping and flashing full firmware. Its funny Chinese not sharing the proceedure how to do it when it will help a lot to a Chinese company to sell their phones. I talked to the seller, and he/she said the technician wont teach them how to globalize the phone. They want to send them EVERY UNIT asking money just to remove the phone's Google restrictions. What a greedy way of thinking. Xda should bann those kind of people here .
The phone with google services could kill all past and future kai OS devices. The world deservers that upgrade to every over priced kai OS dumb phones to become not so dumb.

You need to learn to respect peoples wishes , no one ows you nothing , for start.
Because of the colture of over sharing , you got used that everyone will do the job for you.
do you agree that i can choose either to share or not , something i worked a big amount of time on? good.
now for the process , first unlock BL (there is a free solution mtkClient on github), then disable vb meta's signatures ( google that as well ), after that , you need to edit the super.img manualy ( search for super.img's tools , im sure youll find a few ) for removing the restrictions , because of android 11 copy.past restrictions within the device.
NOT A DUMB PHONE ANYMORE!
The portability, stealth ability, and simplicity of a dumbphone + all the apps of a smartphone with 4/64 max variants. THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!
It came with bootloader unlocked, with magisk and with playstore but need to tweak a bit to fix the crappy T9 input and store certification which is not a big deal.
get it here, I vouched this store have it. BUY HERE

yes you are right but the foundation of knowledge how you learn to do that stuffs might be a collective contribution from the open free community just like this site. Did you write the program to unlocked it? Did you spent countless hours coding and debugging for the soulution? but yeah you have your own reasons and i will always respect and understand that. We all have our differences on opinions, values, ways, and traditions on how to do stuffs.
People buy the phone and what if the phone suddenlly crashed? the seller/company might not release aftermarket technical support for the phone leaving owners in the dark and potentially waste their money without a means to restoring it back to a working state.
thank you very much for the process.
Hello everyone, I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread with this exact tutorial but today I'm hopefully going to teach you how to downgrade to android 10 without unlocking your bootloader.
1- download the recovery firmware with the exact same version you are currently running on your poco x3 nfc, and download the version you want to downgrade to and then move those two files to your poco x3 sd card or local storage... https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/surya/
2- go to settings/about phone/miui version and then press the miui logo a few times, this will unlock some extra features that we need.
3- press the 3 dots on the top right of the screen, and then choose update package, and select the recovery firmware of the version you're currently running, after it prompts you to install the package don't accept it nor cancel it, just go back to your home screen and enter the file manager of your phone, and rename the file which has the version of the firmware you want to install, to the same name of the file which has the version of the firmware you're currently running.
4- go back to the update page and accept the update prompt, it should now trick the device into installing android 10.
5- after it's finished it'll reboot into the stock recovery, from there you'll have to wipe data, and that's all.
I got my phone a few days ago and have to wait 7 days to unlock my bootloader, and on the newest miui update there seems to be an issue with gestures, they make the device really laggy for some reason, rolling back to android 10 was the only option for the time being, so I found this way to do it without unlocking my bootloader
This will hard reset the device? How about the miui version still version 12.5 or lower?

yeah it will hard reset, I downgraded from 12.5.2 (android 11) to 12.0.8.0 (Android 10)
Will be trying this method and see if it will work for me
You guys,
Watchout, you are playing with DRM L1 Keys !!!
Check this guide for more information !!!
this downgrade method messed up my drm widevine certificate
I have successfully downgraded my poco x3 nfc from miui 12.5.1 A11
to 12.08 A10.
Concerning the widevine I still have it at L1

I updated to android 11 and downgraded to android 10 (and unlocked/relocked bootloader) so many times that i can't count (always done via fastboot with MiFlash), i currently am on A10 12.0.7 and still working everything fine with L1. You probably done something you shouldn't do if you had problems with widevine certification

Hi thank you for this guide
I'm just a little confused at step 3, do we rename the current recovery firmware to other name too and then proceed with renaming the downgraded version firmware to the same name of current recovery firmware?
sorry for bad explanation but I hope you get what I'm asking
