Pair android keyboard without code? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
Im a newbie , so forget my ignorance if i post on the wrong place.
If have an android extrenal keyboard.
Is an Aliexpress cheap keyboard. Very similar with the Anker Ultra Slim
Well, it works perfectly. The point is that everytime i turn it off and want to connect it again to my minix device i need to indroduce a random pairing code. This is very annoying.
My question: Is there any way to automatically connect the keyboard to the device without indroducing a new code everytime.
Thanks for your attention,

Bluetooth Gamepad

Hey all you gaming hd fans out there, just thought id let you in on a little discovery of mine.
The Foldable Bluetooth Gamepad DOES work with the HD
I got mine second hand off ebay, but heres a link to the product im talking about:
http://www.order-bulk.com/Bluetooth-Gamepad-For-Mobile-Sony-Ericsson-Nokia-Motorola-LG-Samsung.html?currency=GBP&language=en#googlebase
The first question is, does the HD fit inside the wings, which i can answer with a resounding yes, its a tight fit but with no chance of your HD falling out during a frantic button bashing session!
Its a little tricky to get working with the HD as the install disk, or this driver file:
http://www.gdbint.com.au/downloads/drivers/BGP100_v1502_Games_Included.zip
does not include the HD as a selectable phone, however using this sequence i got it installed:
added the gamepad to my bluetooth devices (not sure this is needed but it what i did)
connected my phone and laptop using a usb activesync
ran the setup.exe from the driver file and clicked a couple of next buttons and an agree
when selecting a phone chose the htc magician
then comes the bit that i had to try a couple of times, the cab runs on the HD and asks where to install, device or storage. the first time i tried device and the program wouldn't open, (an error about certification) so i tried again and installed to storage and hey presto everything worked!!
However there was one more stumbling block in my quest to play zelda on my phone, although the gamepad worked for navigating menus and such like, morphgear would recognise my clicks once i'd started playing. a quick search on google and reinstalling morphgear kicked this problem to touch however and here i am, about the play zelda: a link to the past until i run out of AAA batteries for the pad!!!
So if anybody else out there is into gaming and HD'ing then i would wholeheartedly recommend this product
I haven't noticed any difficulties while installing the driver. The gamepad works just fine, unfortunately the HD doesn't fit in the middle of the gamepad, what makes it quite inefficient, at least for me ...
on my gamepad there are two adjustable rubber grips inside the folding arms to hold the phone in place, try sliding these to the outside of the arms and the HD should squeeze inside:

good find thanks very much, I will probably be buying this tonight!
Many many thanks for the infos...
you just answered all my unanswered questions
ordering it soon.....
I've just received mine...
Works perfect.... more than perfect ..
installed on storage card and call of duty2, flux challenge, pocket clive (zx spectrum emulator) all work fine
Maybe just a barebly noticed lag in communication (a small delay in controls... and i am not so sure about it)

nice
thx for the informations
but i think it looks a lil cheap
isn´t there any posibility to use a normal bluetooth controller for example the PS3 controller ?
It looks cheap but take it from someone who owns one, the build quality on it is on par/close to with Genuine playstation controllers.
Buttons feel good, not mushy and spongy, sliders move smoothly and no poorly fitting parts or grinding in the moving bits. They are REALLY good.
I have to disagree. I've had this bluetooth gamepad for a long time, mainly used for the N95. The quality is average at best and no where near the comfort of any game console controllers. The most annoying feature is the extremely poor battery life. It doesn't last more than a couple of hours... It will cost you a fortune in the long run and frustrate you in the middle of a game.
If you want a controller I would rather use the iGo Stowaway Keyboard. The battery last about 90hrs. Not ideal but it doubles up as a QWERTY.
Hi!
i have buyed bgp100 gamepad too but it seems don't works correctly, A,B,C,D,R button are received from htc hd like same button...
i tried to read with attention qhat mulligan2k say but maybe i don't understand something or i don't know...
with my notebook it works correctly, i think there some driver problem or wm6.5 incompatibility?
thanks for all answer.
Hi everyone ... bought a BGP100 last weekend here: http://www.pearl.de/a-HZ1400-4046.shtml?query=bluetooth gamepad
But if i install the driver via PC (cab installation) and after starting the Gamepad application, there is an error message popup:
"Connection error! Sorry! We don't support this Bluetooth Gamepad."
Anyone has a solution?
hi, you have to install ms version not widcom, it works for me, but there is other problem: A,B,C,D,R are receive from the HD with same exadecimal code and it's unusable for playing...
if it works for you please say something on this board please.
Hmmm ... this Gamepad is absolutely not working. Tried a lot of drivers, MS Bluetooth Stack drivers, Widcomm drivers (with them, the gamepad dialog doesn't start), samsung drivers ... everything.
The same message every time: "Connection error! Sorry! We don't support this Bluetooth Gamepad." --- tried to connect directly via bluetooth, nothing.
I think, the gamepad isn't working for me (as it's not a MSI gamepad )

compatible with? i think, my gamepad and the drivers aren't matching. i don't think, it has something to do with bluetooth stack at my device. afaik the diamond uses also MS Bluetooth stack.
hope to get some fitting drivers for the gamepad

maybe it is incompativle with winmo devices, maybe bgp100 driver aren't same of your gamepad driver.
I have bought through ebay the exact gamepad.
Please note that mine is the original MSI gamepad.
I have used the drivers for the HTC Magician in the accompanying CD .
I have had no problems at all.
Have in mind that you must install the drivers in the storage card and not in the device

I know that this thread hasn't been posted to in a few months, but I hope that the information that I am posting will help someone. This is my first time posting anything, anywhere, on the web.... so wish me luck.
My current setup is a HTC Sprint Touch Pro flashed to ToO's CricKet rom(very nice). Whilst expirementing with emulation on the device, and mapping the keyboard buttons, all of the Action Buttons were showing up as the same location on the keyboard. Regaurdless of what button I pressed, they all came up as 020 if I remember right. After spending night after night of searching forum after forum, along came a solution. Posted somewhere in the deapths of our very own xda-developers.com I read about this program KforTP. Created by "Jack Wang", I am not sure as to how Mr. Jack came to developing this marvelous tool... but I think it would have happened like this...
Late one night in 2008 while at the bar, Jack sat sat freeloading WiFi on his HTC Touch Pro. Downloading emulators at speeds that would put The Flash to shame.
(Evil Laugh)
After a few rounds too many Jack became enraged at his phone.
"Why won't my Action Buttons map on PockSNES!"
Only it came out in a drunken slur. The bartender knew that Jack was terribly drunk.
"Hey et your drunk #[email protected] outta here!"
As Jack left the bar in his beat-up honda he turned the music up and let the windows down to keep his mind off of driving drunk. Rounding a sharp curve on a wet road Jack soon found himself spinning out of control. Lights were comming from everywhere on the dashboard....
"OH &$#% I'M GONNA DIE!!!!"
The car finally came to a hault, and Jack was deaf to the music wailinng from the speakers.
"Yeeeeeee Haaaaaaw!"
Jack got back on the road and drove safely home. After walking through the threshold of his abode, Jack knew that he survived that crash for only one reason.
"I must code a fix for my problem with the Action Buttons not mapping."
But any way the file is attached so give it a shot, and let me know how you liked my first post ever in my LIFE... any feedback would be nice.... Add me on Facebook... whatever.... oh wait, i never post my email address! But seriously let me know what you think. I have never tried this program on any device except for MY Touch Pro. The code may need to be adjusted if you intend to use it on any other device. I do not take any credit for this program in any way. The authors information is in the "about" section.

[Q] china phone star a2000

Hi,
I recently bought from a china website a star a2000 but the gps didn't worked so far, all other funcitons works fine but not the gps.
I entered in the factory mode by turning the phone pressing the buttons power + volume up. When I tested the gps I got the message gps failed! (-8).
The problem is that the phone never get the gps fix.
My colleague that bought the same phone bought the same device and when we tested the gps the issue was the same, gps failed! (-8)
We disassembled his device and in the back top of the phone where usually the devices have the gps hardware but there is nothing there.
If someone has faced an issue like this, or found an workaround, please share.

You must go outside, and wait aprox. 10 minutes. For me it worked!
Well Cristivsb, looks like you are the luck one that got the hardware inside your phone, mine a2000 so as my friend's a2000 have not gps hardware inside. I did a trip by car and put it in the console of the car with clear view of the sky, it took more than 2 hours to find satellites but nothing, that is the reason why my colleague openned his one and noticed the gps hardware was not there.
Does anyone has the same issue?
Thanks
Sorry to hear that. Can you please tell me, on the back of the phone package, it is written in English or in Chinese?
> aGPS settings > Select Profile = Google (not Nokia)
It depends which maufacturer you got it from. Looks like a lot of these Chinese manufacturers are cutting corners when putting these things together to either save money or to be able to sell them at a lower price.
There are some A2000's with capacitive screens instead of the resistive screens which is stated on the specs. And there are also some with larger capacities.
The GPS on my A2000 seems to work fine, just having some trouble with the wifi (it works, but only when it wants to) and the 3.5mm jack isn't giving stereo output.
A great phone nonetheless.
Do you mind saying where you got the phone from?
Well, I don't think it is good since mine is without god or capacitive screen. But the problem was the dealer, avoid to buy at chinabuye.com they don't care about customer complaints.
I fixed mine by replacing it by HTC Sensation, more expensive but really works.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
I have the same problem!
My phone can't get an GPS fix. I tried it with the A-GPS Nokia server and the A-GPS Google server. I even tried 3rd party software.
Bought it one week ago from ebay, maybe the newer phones come without GPS hardware? I already contacted the seller, waiting for a response.
Star A2000
Hello everyone, i have Star A2000, it works great for me, wifi, gps etc are working... I want to ask is has anyone here know how to improve its performance especially in games? What about custom ROMS? Is it advisable to root this phone? i had read some articles that rooting can improve performance and battery life, can someone tell or teach me how or has someone done rooting A2000? is there a video tutorial about it??
Many thanks...
Nope, i've got a GPS receiver. But it's not very fast! A fake Sirfstar III gps module called: Sirf III. It's working
@jeymund.
I rooted my device today using: "Visionary-R14"
Use the search button on XDA and have fun.

EDIT: Ok, here is your link to download visionary: http://www.4shared.com/get/fJ_C7nEx/MoDaCo_Visionary_Plus_r14.html
1. Copy the file to the memory card of your mobile phone.
2. disconnect your phone from the PC.
3. Open file manager on your phone.
4. Go to your file and install it.
5. after installing, go to homecreen and open your menu.
6. Go to settings > applications > Development > and check "USB Debugging"
7. now again, go to homecreen and open your menu.
8. Open the visionary application in your menu.
9. Click on TEMP ROOT NOW and wait.. (Dont do anything)
10 after finishing, wait a few (10) seconds and click: "Attempt Permroot now" Now you'll see a massage. allow root acces, but within 8 seconds. (should take at least 30 sec's, but dont do anything!)
11. After auto-reboot, your phone is rooted.
is your phone also Star A2000? I'm afraid to do rooting because it might bricked the unit, what are the advantages or what have you noticed after you've rooted your A2000?
help plz
Hello, i have a qouestion, i got phone from chine, its look like replica of hTC,
i dont have any sw for him, i canot sync it with my computer because i dont have driver for usb
- i can say only that i have java , it is dual SIM mobile, 3MP kamera, FM, Bluetooth, wifii, touch screen,
on baterry and back case it writen that model is X9, but i search the web and there is no hTC model X9, i tray with chinaphonesuite, and a downloaded many driver but with no succes
so i need help plz, is there someone with similar problem !!!!!!??????
sorry for my bad english
I use Z4 for rooting A2000 and A1000 have had no problems, although some of the Mobile unlce tools (from china) do not see this as root, 99% of tools do like root explorer etc and I have had no problem - my only advice is make sure you always keep recovery or system partition working, never flash recovery then immediately install rom - always test check things out slowly so one partition can fix the other if needed.
Also the only difference between the A2000 and A1000 I know of is the touch screen A2k is resistive and A1k is capactive so the Roms will work on each other as far as I am aware but you need to keep your original kernel as that contains the driver for the touchscreen (the kernel is in the boot.ini file within the rom - so you can usually just swap the boo.ini over)
---------- Post added at 04:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:41 AM ----------
You need to go to a site i am not yet allowed to post a link to, to get software google m44 mobile uncle - use a translator to read about your x9 phone, you will need to create an account (hit use bugmenot.com) as it took me a long time to even manage to log in - you need to open one browser tab translated and one normal (so links can be clicked)
- Can an admin please remove my restrictions, I know I am new - but I know more about these phones than just about any other english speaking person I have met and can offer some supoort, roms and tools for the star a1000, a2000 and maybe shed light on the X8, A3000 and A5000. Thanks

Hi guys I have a fix for this - I am currently posting to get my level up before I make a thread covering everything I know on these phones, the roms the recovery, rooting and fixes - keep an eye out!
a2000.......in china.....why I've never heard this device......
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18046607#post18046607
improved performance?
i m planning to buy a china android phone. i read a review the A2000 has sluggish performance. does EVERYTHING works? does flashing new rom and other updates can improve its performance.
How can I take the 'Android Phone' cover off?
@ Eduardo Logan:
Please tell me how you were able to get the bottom back cover off. The one with "Android Phone" printed on it. I don't like to use a lot of force trying to pull things like this apart.
I need to take my phone apart because I have shattered the glass plate between touch digitizer and LCD...
{edit}
I found somewhere that my A2000 is similar to the A1000, but with resistive touchscreen.
This video: http://youtu.be/8fu8W3HQtSQ shows how to disassemble the A1000, but also the A2000.
{edit}
Mine also doesn't have a GPS chip, however there is already a reserved parking place for it .
The funny thing is that mine without GPS was actually more expensive than the A2000 with GPS, because the box (and Focalprice) states that it has an AMOLED screen. It really is just an ordinary LCD, so don't get fooled!
Another question: I can't seem to find a way to make a complete NAND backup, which I like to do before I start to play with the wonderful tools of Byteshertz:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18046607#post18046607
I already installed Titanium backup, but it seems to make a backup of the apps. The recovery menu only seems to allow me to restore, but not to save a backup...
How did you guys do it?
BTW: I used z4root to root the phone, which worked flawlessly, the second time...
Thanks in advance,
Hans
Hi,
just wanted to add to this thread
I just got a A2000 phone, paid 111$ USD including shipping to Canada
the screen is resistive, 800x480 (image is very nice, touch is like other resistive so not really the best but very usable once you get the feel for it)
GPS works, locked on position in seconds !
it has an antenna for some kind of TV function but all I get is static, I don't think it works with DVB but not sure
the dual sim function looks likes you have two lines on one phones, you even have separate reception quality meters
the back as a nice little flip stand so you can rest it upright on a table
it came with two batteries 3.7v 1500 mah, you have to remove the battery to change the SIMs or the microsd card which is VERY annoying
for the price it is an excellent phone, especially a business that needs smartphones to every employee

[Q] G Tablet Dock Help Help

Hi guys, wonder can anyone help me. I purchased a dock for the G Tablet from a company in Chine a few months ago. I only got round to trying it out recently and the results where not good.
The dock charges the G Tablet when the PSU is connected to it, but that is all that it does. The USB port does not work, the pens light up but the G Tab does not see them.
The network port does not do any thing when a cable is plugged in.
The HDMI also does not do anything.
I have tried it with several different versions of Android including the T&T that was on the G Tab originally.
Am I missing something ? Do I need to install certain software of certain Abroid version ?.
It wouldn't usually bother me but the dock cost me over £35 and I do not want to purchase another until I am sure this one does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS Keep up the great work, I love this site and have tried almost every new OS that has been put on it
No specific software should have to be installed. It's supposed to just work, so I'm thinking that it's bad hardware.

[Q] Cube U25GT-C4W USB OTG and Charging Weirdness

Hi All,
I have a U25GT-C4W running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. I have managed to root the tablet.
The tablet has a separate charging DC 5V in jack as well as a USB Micro OTG connector. It connects to PC fine and I am able to detect it through adb.
It is also able to detect OTG devices connected to it such as a Keyboard, Mouse and a USB Stick/Flash Drive.
Out of all the China tablet clones that I have tested, this one has a peculiar behavior. See picture attached to understand this behavior.
If I connect DC 5V plug to tablet, tablet starts charging.
Then when I connect a USB Mouse, the tablet STOPS charging after 5 seconds (Not normal behavior).
Then when I remove the USB Mouse, tablet starts charging again (after 10 seconds).
I have tested other tablets with separate DC 5V jack and they do not show this behavior. This is not normal.
Tablets I have tested:
ValuePad VP112
King's Hong Kong H704A
When these above tablets are charging with DC 5V, and then I connect USB Mouse, these tablets do not stop charging like the Cube U25GT is doing.
Has anyone else experienced this type of issue? Has anyone solved it? Are there any custom kernels/system that I could use for this to solve the problem? I don't usually post questions on the forum because I usually find the answers I need after searching for a while, but this has been a baffling situation.
Hopefully someone will answer. Let me know if you have any questions about my issue.
Thanks.

i use this tablet as a part of multimedia system in my car.

Sorry for my bad English
Go for another tablet.
Hi,
The short version is: No. I couldn't solve the problem.
I spent about 2 to 3 weeks trying to solve this issue. I started from garnering information on kernel sources for the MTK tablets (the SoC which the Cube tablet is based on), trying to find the source code for it, compiling it and flashing it to the tablet. I tried contacting the people at cube-tablet.com. I spent a lot of time explaining them the problem hoping they would give me some indication as to why this was not working. I spent a lot of time contacting people in various forums who had some exposure to the Cube tablet. But that proved fruitless as well.
In the end, I just gave up. We just experimented with a various other tablets and settled with one that charged as well as worked with OTG.
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your answer wickedmask.
It was disappointing for me. The whole project was built on this tablet by me.
You can see from the photos below:
There's an interesting variable in build.prop:
# USB Charge only function
ro.sys.usb.charging.only=yes
Have you tried to change it to "no"?

Mirror desktop - Which device can do that?

Hello, first of all: Unfortunately I have to work with the Google Translator. Therefore, the translation may not be entirely clean.
I am looking for a smartphone that can be rooted. It must definitely allow the screen to be mirrored, as in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlOzI7eAfvE
Unfortunately, it seems that very few devices can do this, and connected hardware such as a remote control or the touch screen should work at the same time.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro, for example, can do it all. The Huawei P20 Pro can only mirror the display, but the touch screen and remote control do not work.
I connected a USB-C docking station which also charges the phone.
Now the Huawei devices can no longer be rooted. But I need root to automate various settings via Tasker & Co. Also some settings have to be made that are not possible without root.
Question: Which phones are still able to mirror the screen and can use the touch functionality and a remote control?
Thanks and greetings from Hamburg

That's a really interesting concept you have here, I want to try!
But I need more info about what he's doing and how he's doing. First of all what he said in the vid, I'm French and chose to learn spanish instead of German (sorry fella), so I didn't quite understand what he said. I think the video isn't a tutorial but just a demo of how it works. I'd like to know also what kind of cable he used in the video and where he plugged it in? (USB port, HDMI, ...?).
If you have any extra info it'd be great.
(For your question, idk which phone can do that but I'm quite sure that it's an app allows the guy in the vid to do what he does)
I'll come back with more info about that soon
Have a good day

Sorry for the late reply. I've actually finished everything so far. I took a Samsung Galaxy S9 for the project. I installed the crDroidAndroid Rom in version 6.7. Unfortunately, the only thing that doesn't seem to work with this ROM is the automatic boot process when the device is loaded. The developers of this ROM obviously cannot help here either. I've been in contact here for a week, but there is no solution to the problem in sight, so I have to start all over again. With other ROMs I can edit the /system/bin/lpm file so that the device starts automatically when it is supplied with power. this crDroidAdndorid ROM has obviously integrated the Charger from the Pixel 4. There doesn't seem to be a solution to this.
You can see the equipment in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN-...Ag.9BgvgSEKrPW9BhxWSpP0Z5&feature=em-comments
