Just like the title says. I am installing Remix OS on a Dell XPS 13 2015 which comes equipped with a 256 GB PCIe HDD. Remix Installs Fine, Bootloader works as expected, but it gets stuck at "Detecting Android-x86.....". Anybody else tried with a similar config ?
Same problem installing on SanDisk usb drive on my Acer Aspire V17 Nitro, tried installing the ISO using remix installer, Rufus and UNetBoot to no avail. From what I've read, it might be an Nvidia gpu problem as I have heard a lot on the forums about Remix OS having issues with Nvidia.

Installed Remix using Ubuntu via this methodhttps://youtu.be/ppJIweqFCMA using the legacy ISO released first march. It boots to the remix os logo and stops. Am I missing something?
Many thanks
Solved, please close thread.
l tried to install Remix OS on this Windows 10 based tablet but when I get to the dual boot screen neither Windows nor Remix boot. Anybody else using this Lenovo model?

Fwiw Remix works great on this convertible PC/tablet
Hi,
Is it possible to install or boot Remix OS on an "Android TV Box" like this one? (here is the link: amazon.de/dp/B01BTJ7EZY/ - looks like new users can't post links, sorry)
Specs - Android TV Box:
OS: Android 5,1
Rockchip 3368 Octa-Core 64bit ARM Coretex A53 CPU
2G RAM + 16G eMMC Flash
Support for Gigabit Network & OTA
UHD 2K x 4K support
Bluetooth 4,0, H.265, HDMI 2,0

I'm interested in doing this too

Me as well
Not yet. Because to do that a custom rom would be required for that exact device. Same way that a Huawei P8 ROM won't work on a Samsung Galaxy S7.

Another reason why not yet.
The RemixOS installer is not for arm devices.
You'd have to port RemixOS to your device (at least there is RemixOS for arm, and yes, I am aware that the arm version preceded the PC (x86, x86-x64) version).
By the way, you had posted this in the RemixOS for PC subforum, so it's the wrong place, try one of the other RemixOS subforums, although you'd need kernel sources, a device tree, and a custom recovery for your device before you can even think about porting RemixOS.
I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings, I was just being blunt.

So I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 851F Tablet, which can Boot up Remix OS 32bit if i use xforcevesa, sadly it's laggy, touchscreen doesn't work, the DPI are way off and its crashing sometimes.
The tablet has a Z3745 Bay Trail CPU, 2 GB Ram, a 1920x1200 display, Broadcom Wireless adapter (BCMSDH43XX), and seems to have the same components as the Lenovo Yoga 2 830F, which is an android tablet that has an official Lollipop rom (5.0).
Lenovo even released the source code for their Lollipop rom
Could I extract drivers from that ROM and add them somehow to Remix OS?
Edit: I also had to out comment the line "terminal_output gfxterm" from grub, else it would only show question marks instead of actual writing.
Btw the touchscreen does work with the newest Android x86 6.0.1, so there must be a driver for it somewhere.
Not compatible?
Hello everyone, my laptop is a positive BGH s610. This features an Intel CELERON B800, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, and an Intel serial VGA.
When you try to install Remix OS, Phoenix OS, or Android x 86 everything is fine, but when you try to start the system, it starts to load and automatically restarts.
Any idea what it might be?
