Stuck on detecting Android x86.......... (UEFI/SSD) - Remix OS for PC

I don't really know what's going on here. I think it's maybe UEFI related. I own an Asus Zenbook Pro (model UX501VW in case if that matters). I can't get Remix OS 2.0 Beta urnning on my SSD. I've already disabled Secure Boot and Fast Boot but I always get stuck on "Detecting Android x86.............." infinite bootloop.
Installed it with the official tool in the original partition (C
Installed it in a secondary partition (D:, FAT32)
Used EasyBCD
Used Unetbootin
Used Grub2Win (interestingly, It leads to a blackscreen instead of the other error)
In fact. I'm not able to run it. I know that the ISO isn't corrupted because I can run it in VMWare Workstation.
Any thoughts?

Same here

In which field its stuck on booting or on build the rom

It doesn't even build the partition to install the ROM on it. Even if I create the partition by myself, it will show the same problem.

In the screen where you have to select boot RemixOS or Windows, just press c and go to grub> prompt. Type ls and see what is your HDD partition structure. You can also press e and go to check actual install command. You may have to make changes to /efi/boot/grub.cfg. I can help.

Remix OS 32bit on Asus T100 (no Windows)

I have a Asus t100 I'm trying to install remix os on without a windows os. I used pmagic since I'm not that good at coding, I tried coping all the files from release_Remix_OS_for_PC_32-bit_Beta_Version_Package
to a new partition then when I try to boot from it my computer just goes straight to bios because theres nothing to boot. I also tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/remix/remix-os/how-to-install-remix-os-virtualbox-to-t3301160 with no luck can someone help me I just want remix os installed on this computer with no other OS
Asus T100 uses Intel Atom Z3740, a 64bit processor. So use the 64-bit version of Remix OS. The 64-bit version of Remix OS also has UEFI, which makes making the drive easier, and booting faster. Make the bootable USB as per instructions, and disable secure boot in your BIOS. You should then be able to boot from the USB.
it won't work. T100 has 64bit processor but a 32bit system

Ok I just did it so, here is how I did it. Use gparted, from gparted.org, booted up, partitioned, small 500MB FAT32 formated partition, second partition EXT4 the rest, 58GB+. Then took 32bit beta using JIDE's tool to put on a USB stick. Booted the stick and when it came up, entered e, to enter grub boot config. On the second line removed the part after and put INSTALL=1. Installed android to the larger partition, then installed grub, grub efi, formated, then rebooted. Side loaded google services from this forum and it works. Bugs, biggest issue is no audio. Let me know if you have any luck.

From windows:
1) Dowmload and unpack RMX installer everywere you want (you will have a folder called RMX installer).
2) enter on RMX installer folder and execute the .EXE file.
3) Browse for the Remix OS .ISO file (use the 64 bits one, works like a charm for me )and choose the Data size (will create the data.img file).
4) disable secure boot and fast boot in your BIOS.
5) Boot and you will see the grub menu with Remix OS and Windows options.

OK but Asus t100 only uses 32bit which isn't a problem. And I don't have windows on it I have anot her computer that has windows on it but the Asus t100 has no OS at the moment I'm trying to install remix on it without installing windows so if the RMX Installer only works with a Windows installed then I have no use for it
Yes I'm having the same problem, with the new T100 that has both OS and CPU 64 bit.
The thing is, whatever you do grub won't detect either an external SD card or the keyboard dock's HDD as a boot option. They don't even show up in BIOS ! The only possibility seems to be booting from internal storage, which is too limited to dual boot Windows + Remix OS.
Anyone has tips for this ?
Thanks

When installing Ubuntu on a Surface Pro I had to use a USB-keyboard as the BIOS didn't recognise the original one. If you have one laying around you should try.

Remix OS on hard disk without dual boot?

I have a spare netbook lying around in the house
Can I install Remix OS on it, directly to the hard drive without any kind of dual boot?
Just plain simple remix os?
yeah you can you need to remove the hdd and then install the remix on it using a second computer and then plug that HDD back into the laptop and then u will be able to boot only remix on that laptop ... good luck
It is possible, as I have detailed in my post here. If you need the code for the grub.cfg, check here.
Enjoy Remix OS on your PC!
Its actually easy - All you need to do is boot up gparted - live linux ( i used mint linux off a usb key) - run gparted, format the hd you want as ext3 or ext4, set the boot flag (under manage flags) .. then boot the remix usb key - select resident mode, you have a few seconds to add this at the end of the line INSTALL=1
hit enter.. walk through the installer, done.. once its finished remove the key, boot from HD.

Clicking Installing Remix OS to Hard Drive or Virtual Machine without additional tools you'll find a documentation how to install Remix OS to a hard drive.

Dual boot RemixOS & Windows 10 on touch tablets

Hello everyone and thanks for these great releases!!
I have a Lenovo miix 700 Windows based tablet, and I'm interested in a dual boot with RemixOS and Window 10 using the touch screen only, without the keyboard.
I have RemixOS efi folder extracted and running on the same partition of WIndows (C: ), and I can boot through UEFI normally.
THe problem is - this requires to enter the BIOS in order to chose UEFI OS, which means requires having the keyboard attached to enter the BIOS settings. and being a tablet, I don't have the keyboard with me all the time.
I'm looking for a way to boot into RemixOS from Windows 10, without the need for the keyboard, by using a batch file script or any other application available that will restart the device and boot directly into RemixOS.
I also want to keep both Windows 10 and RemixOS on the same partition , without the need for a separate partition for RemixOS
I know that devices based on Legacy can use easyBCD and iReboot to achieve this, but I couldn't find an equivalent for UEFI bios.
Maybe using METRO boot manager and add an entry for RemixOS? IS it touch enabled?
I'd be grateful for any help to achieve this! Thanks in advance!

Hi, you can check this link:
http://www.easyuefi.com/index-us.html
easyuefi not running well in Win 10 Anniversary Update. I prefer grub2win
any news or tuto to easyboot on win10 tablet without keyboard ?
thanks is advance for your help
That's something I've been trying to get to work in the past days!
I've shrunk my C Partition and created a new one with 16GB formatted in FAT32 for Remix OS.
Extracted the ISO and copied the files onto the new partition.
Added a new entry with easyuefi (Type Linux/other OS pointing to the efi\boot\bootx64.efi file on the new partition)
Created a shortcut for the advanced start %windir%\system32\shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00
BUT Remix OS doesn't boot in resident mode (it get's stuck on the Remix OS boot logo) ... in guest mode Remix OS boots just fine!
I don't have an idea why this is happening and how to solve this one ... maybe someone like @RemixOS_Jason does
http://support.jide.com/hc/en-us -> Submit an idea (feature request) and ask them for a touch supported bootloader

GRLDR not found

I am getting this error
Error:Cannot find GRLDR in all devices.Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.
@MalikShahrozAwan cmon... that's way too few information.
What's your device?
How did you install Remix? Using official installer from Windows to HDD, from Windows to USB, from USB to HDD?
For the future, try to be less lazy please... ughhh
well im using hp dc7900 tower pc
core2duo
4gb ram
3.16 ghz processor
i installed remix os using official installer to hdd
from last 1 month it was working fine and now i see this error
1. Did you updated using OTA?
2. Or did you do nothing and it stopped working?
3. Can you boot into Windows normally?
i did nothing and it stopped working
yes i can normally boot into my windows 7
Just reinstall it then. It's quicker then troubleshooting.
You can back up the RemixOS/data.img file to some other partition -> Uninstall -> Install anew -> restore the backed up data.img to the RemixOS folder -> reboot into Remix.
I don't know how but your bootloader config got corrupted. Maybe you have badblocks in the drive filesystem. You can try:
Start cmd.exe as administrator.
Run this command but change X: to drive where RemixOS is installed:
Code:
chkdsk X: /f /r /x
Once it's done, make a screenshot/picture or save the contents of the console in notepad to show results to us.
Reboot into Remix and check if it helped.
I'm not sure where GRLDR is expected to be - on same partition as RemixOS installation, on disk C: or on the hidden windows boot partition. I don't know legacy boot that well.
It's very likely that badblocks are the problem. It's pretty common and it happens when Remix OS crashes or has bad power management - shutdown/restart causes immediate powerdown of device, even if it's in the middle of writing to disk.

Remix OS does not use Windows Boot Manager. Instead uses gray boot screen :(

Remix OS is supposed to use the blue Windows Boot Manager, correct?
But on my Windows tablet (Lenovo Miix 700), I always get a gray boot screen which asks me to choose "Windows" or "Remix OS".
If I select "Windows", then it will load the blue Windows Boot Manager screen (without the Remix OS option).
Can anyone explain what's going wrong?
How can I force Remix OS to use the actual Windows Boot Manager?
The reason I want the actual Windows Boot Manager is because it's easy to customize the countdown timer & boot preference. With the current gray boot screen, I can only edit the timer by mounting my boot partition & editing complicated files.
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
Bios: UEFI with Secure Boot & Fast Boot disabled.
Remix OS version: Latest (3.0.207)
Installation method: Remix OS For PC "Installation Tool" (16 gb chosen, targetted to 20 gb NTFS partition, drive letter "R:" assigned)
Okay, I discovered the solution. You can read the quoted posts below. It is not possible to add Remix OS as an option in the Windows Boot Manager...if the Windows OS was installed in UEFI.
I don't know why this isn't made more public.
I wasted so many days trying all sorts of experiments, and thinking something was wrong with my system.

UEFI WBM can't load anything other than windows bootloader; so it can't chainload grub2. It does however see any /efi folder as a seperate UEFI [usb] device.

If Windows was installed in BIOS mode, you get the Windows boot menu which is touch compatible, but if Windows was installed in UEFI mode, then the Windows boot menu can't be used to load non-Windows operating systems (thanks Microsoft) and so you get the non-touch grub boot menu. Annoying, I know, and it's the reason I ended up rebuilding my Lenovo Thinkpad Helix in BIOS mode, despite the slower boot process.
