[Rom] [Mokee Opensource] [6.01 MM-d850-d851-d855-d859][March Nightlys] - G3 Android Development

Hi Guy´s
I looked around a bit and found that our old friends from Mokee team has started releasing nightlys for our lg3 again starting 0103 march.
Since i cant find any threads on XDA with these releases, i figured i´d let you all know they started building again
*This has absolutely nothing to do with me, i´m just posting to let you all know*
Just flashed 0403 nightly on my d855 with banks gapps and all is working just great, no issues.

Ba2tf is a beta release by the Atrix dev. team, who originally ported CM7 to the Atrix; it includes Atrix specific fixes from the previous beta release.
The nightlys are released by the CyagonMod dev. team, based off of the work provided by the Atrix dev. team. The nightly updates include fixes, new test build ideas, etc. that have to do with CM7 in general, and may or may not include specific updates for the Olympus (aka the Atrix).
The nightlys and also the Atrix dev team beta builds have been suspended more or less, due to the fact that most of the members of both dev teams are allocating their resources towards working on getting CM9 out. Last estimate I herd of a release candidate for CM9 was something like April???
There are also weekly builds released by the Atrix dev. team (see corresponding thread in dev. section). These are kind of alike nightlys (except that they are weeklys ) released by the Atrix dev. team to try out fixes, new things, etc.
The most stable of the three choices you have to choose from is probably the beta build by the Atrix dev team (Ba2tf). Although, I've been using the most recent nightly for the last month or two and have had no problems. The most recent weekly has incorporated the fingerprint scanner into it.
If I have gotten any of the above info. incorrect, please feel free to correct me anyone.
thanks for the very thorough summary.
wow thank you very much! you have cleared all my doubts and even questions that I wanted to post later lol
This helped clear up a bunch of confusion for me - thank you

i9100 CM11

Hi there guys.
Is there anyone working on CM11 for now ? I can't find any info on CM site about i9100 (I believe it should work flawlessly as google wants to support older phones).
Just let me now, please !
Cheers
the guys from the team of CM now versed in the system, because there are many things requiring adaptation. So wait for CM 11 I think is closer to the new year
Here you go.. But it's still in testing stages.. You could test and report to the developer for its development..

You can use OmniRom instead. I used CM 7, 9, and 10, with a Galaxy S1 and then S2. I recently switched to OmniRom because they had a working KitKat rom. Basically a group split off from CM after it became a company, and that group is called OmniRom. CM's i9100 development has all but stopped, but the OmniRom have KitKat rom nightiles that are quite stable. I'm using as my daily driver, and all features work. My phone is faster that it was on CM10.2.
OmniRom:

Nightly Changelog:
https://changelog.omnirom.org/#/i9100/next
Note: As per the XDA thread, you need SuperSU and GApps. Please use Paranoid Android's GApps modular mini. The full one didn't work for me, and others have said the same.
The only bugs I'm having with OmniRom are:
(1) Automatic time zone (set it manualy)
(2) The OpenDelta over the air updater doesn't work properly yet.

Good luck.

Problems to execute Cm11 on my s2
Hello, I wonder if any Modder or Dev could help me.
I have a Galaxy s2 I9100 stopped there two years, and recently tried to install Cm11 him, and when I start the phone it loads the bootloader Cyanogem Mod, and then a message "Shutting Down Power Off" appears.
I tried using other versions as Slim Know, Paranoid, Pac Rom, etc ... and all the same thing happen. I decided to go back to official samsung 4.1.2 rom, it worked okay, but the phone does not load, an error appears stating that the phone battery with this high temperature, but the phone does not heat up, it is normal temperature coma.
I took the phone in technical assistance, which found that the problem is in the motherboard. I wonder if any Modder or Dev could help me on how to disable it in CM11 rom, or which file responsible for turning off the phone in case of failures. Thanks in advance
(Sorry for my bad english)
Handwriting to text
Hey
I was just wondering if cm11 has a handwriting to text feature.? I can't seem to find it, if it has it.

Aokp kk 4.4.4 [build from source]

Hi, I can build AOKP 4.4.4 from source, someone wants it?
me lol
Of course!
Sent from my Razr XT910
I will test it.
Build
Ok, I'll build it next week, I've only 1Mb of internet connection(u may say "holy **** this is so bad" yes I know) so download repos tooks me about 2 days, and now I'm re downloading the repo of BAM, and it'll be finished tomorrow(maybe in 8 hours), then I'll download all repos for AOKP, and first build will be for UMTS, If it works I build for Verizon. If u want I can build a this rom weekly or once per month, in order to take new code from Cyano and AOKP. And If my router won't get burned XD I will try to build Dirty Unicorns(I like this rom but the develop finished at 4.4.2 :/ ) or another ROM.
If u know a new rom from other device that u want for the RAZR tell me and if I could I'll build it.(I only por from source, because porting copying files and something like that didn't work for me).
Sorry for the delay with the repos and my English.
Regards, have a nice weekend
Your English is fine, and YES I want this! (I only use ROMs that are AOKP or AOKP based....)
Thank You, if the rom Works, I'll update once per month like the official builds, because I saw that for example in one week they update little things. In any case that when I make the build and if some features didn't work I'll leave some days to see if AOKP team solve that and I build it again.

Sounds great to me. I know you said you will build for UMTS first, but when Spyder version is up, I will gladly test it!

Looking for an Alpha Lollipop build for the G2? Look no further!

"The G2 Dream Team" (and they well deserve that name) has released not one, but TWO lollipop builds for the LG G2. Both ROMs are based on the same build tree, but one ROM is CM12 and the other is a LiquidSmooth 4.0 ROM. Despite being built from the same build tree, they carry different features. They are stable and usable for daily drivers, but they may carry some bugs, like a non-functional video playback, NFC issues for LS/VS980 but it should all be sorted out in the near future. Head over to the threads to read more!:

Older posts:
An increasing amount of devices have been receiving unofficial Android Lollipop 5.0 ports, like the HTC One M8 and the LG Optimus L9. Today another device can be added to the list of phones receiving a treatment with the taste of Android Lollipop, the LG G2. While there generally has been a wide contribution from the community; testing, sharing files and giving ideas, two XDA members stood out in particular in order to create the build, @ylukasy and @InfinitusDesigner. The port is still in a very early pre-alpha stage, and the bugs are barely known yet, but the ROM boots and has even been rooted! While it might be wisest to wait until an official thread has been made before grabbing your devices and start flashing, @ylukasy has already provided a download link for the ROM, and calls for people to help discover the bugs so that they can be eliminated. Please notice that the ROM might not be stable enough to be used as a daily driver, but owners of a LG G2 are officially an important step closer to having a stable Lollipop ROM!
If this post caught your interest and you're willing to take the risk, head over to the last pages in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/unofficial-cm12-nexus-5-posted-t2936398
As previously mentioned, a lot of things are not sorted out yet, and the build might not be for your device number, so make sure you read the entire thread before continuing, or simply wait untill an official thread is made.
Update:
An official thread has been posted and it can be found by following this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/rom-android-lollipop-fast-clean-t2941922
The build is a port of the Nexus 5 ROM, and users of the ROM have been saying that the rom is very fast and fluid, calls work, camera works (although the quality is inferior), but other users have been reporting random reboots and incompatibilities with certain apps such as YouTube or WhatsApp.

This post will be updated regularly when new information regarding Lollipop ports surface.
Fantastic News! Will get round to trying it shortly, thanks for the link!
While I have my doubts about it being functional (or even booting) on my LS980, I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
Nice to see things moving at breakneck speeds these days.
On a side note, I just read the AnandTech review of the Nexus 6 and am happy to report that my well over a year old G2 beats it in several benchmarks so I'm pretty satisfied at the moment, especially considering I got it for free. I mean really...
In before "no build for xxxx?!?!?!?"
Anyone know how to port a d802 rom to d800?
Ready to try it out and see what happened..??
his build is from the same source the other was he doesn't deserve credit for it. it's using cm12 kernel and dev claims it's using nexus 5 port yet requires gapps and no signs of any nexus 5 code at all.
Wouldn't it be alot easier to just post the download link here?

It's not my work, and there are some steps which must be followed in order to make it work. I am just objectively informing any news regarding Android Lollipop for the LG G2.
OP has been updated.

Can anyone port the Nexus 5 ROM?
Updating this thread later today if nothing gets in the way.
Hi everybody!!
I need a tester please:
I built pure AOSP for the D802 from sources of Android right now, has anybody time to test it?
It is an experimental build and I didn't test it right now, so I don't know if it is working, please make a backup from your current rom.
The build comes with an built in CWM recovery and should be with root access. It can be flashed with the same instructions like the CM 12 build.
Edit: Bootloop right now ... Anybody, can you take a logcat?

Thank you in advance!! Please anybody who tries it: can you send me a pm?

Yes sure, but right now, I have to solve the bug, that the d802 wouldnt boot, so this may take some more time until I build it for other devices too.

Death of Cyanogen, what does this mean for the Swift 2+

Hello, I should be buying a Swift 2 Plus soon, and as a complete noob, I don't know what the death of Cyanogen is going to do to my device. Obviously it won't instantly brick it, but how am I gonna get future Android updates without installing a custom rom?
have a sexy christmas
Please, read my post here, and the (unconfirmed) Wileyfox's response to Cyanogen move here. It should be enough to clear your doubts

One thing relating more to the custom ROM area. So some of the CM team (not COS) are rebranding as lineage OS right. And they are continuing off the codebase of CM however we don't have a build of CM so how will and developer , from lineage or anywhere else, build a custom ROM without code from CM or AOSP. Unless Cyanogen Inc release the source code for our phone which I'm not sure they will. (Sorry if this is a noob question)

You're absolutely correct. We can't start with the development with no sources. However, I don't think Cyanogen would do that at the moment, and, after seeing Wileyfox's response to Cyanogen moves, I think (and actually hope) they'll switch to an AOSP-based ROM with Android N 7.0 upgrade, and if that happens I'm really sure they'll have no problem on releasing the source code (remember Wileyfox devices tend to be quite developer-friendly). From that, we can work on bringing Lineage...
