Samsung Browser 4.0 - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have an S6 Edge (G925F). I am on Marshmallow and my browser says it is 4.0. I want to use an adblocker (Crystal), but in the settings for the browser, there is no option to "block content" and therefore enabling the adblocker. Have I missed a setting to enable it? Thanks in advance.

I tried, but ads still load on webpages. The option to "block content" and select the adblocker to be used appears to be missing from the advanced settings of the browser.

I don't quite understand your question. Do you want to put Google camera at your homescreen? or do you want to just change the icon of the Google camera?
Well if you want to do the first one, then you just have to drag and drop the icon at your homescreen, and if you want to do the latter one then you should install a third party launcher.

Hello Digigoon,
I would like to do the same as iMaxime.
We do not want to change icon in HOME screen, we would like to change application triggered by LOCK screen icon.
That is... we may not be able to have the fast picture feature in-build in Honor camera app, but we would be able to launch the third-party camera app from the lock screen. May be more complicated than that, but could you please help us? Is this even possible?
Cordially,
Xavi

As far as I know, you can't do that with stock ROM (or any that isnt customizable on that way). You'll need to download a launcher or an app do costumize your lockscreen

You may try and freeze the native camera app and install the app you want. If there is no FC, then any shortcut will lead to Google Camera as it will be assumed as the default (only) camera app.
I´ve removed myself some useless system apps and some others just can´t be removed. Never tried camera.
Settings > Apps > Advanced > Default App Settings > Camera.
If you change it from there, doesn't it get changed from the lock screen?

You can use a method described by Paul O'Brian but you will have to dig for it a bit.
I don't recall specifically but he used something like
pm.hide.something
To hide the native app and use the one you want. After that, it will use your custom app.
Tag him in the post and he can clarify more.

using a third-party lockscreen

Dunno if this is just me or I just can't find the option, however Miui 7, I cannot work out how to use a app lockscreen, I have two apps I use to earn money monthly.
Redmi/Miui clearly doesn't seem to want to use them even though lockscreen is enabled.
Via Miui setting I only get the option for default lockscreen + fingerprint.
Is their anyway to select app via settings to keep lockscreen setting?
Cheers :good:
What are these apps?

Hiding Apps via EMUI

Coming from a Nexus 6p with Nova Launcher, I've found it frustrating to use EMUI, especially the inability to hide apps - mainly the bloatware that are installed.
Is therea any way to have a folder for "junk"?
I've searched and found these:

but none appear to work on my mate pro 10

Download emui tweaker on playstore and you will be able to hide app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.emuitweaker
Once option activated with emui tweaker you have to pinch screen with you finger to access to hide menu app

I thought a "zoom out" was the inverse method to pinch in,which brings up your settings to the EMUI page (Wallpaper, Widgets, transitions, settings etc)?
When I do the opposite zoome out, nothing happens - am I making a school boy error here?

Yes it's the inverse at pinch (sorry for my bad English)
Did you reboot the phone?
Because it works for sure with this app.
It was a feature of precedent emui but it still works on emui 8.
It's just desactivated by default on emui 8 and this app activate it again
You have to do the exact opposite with your finger that which brings settings of emui page

I thought I had done those, but I will try again. Your english is much better than my French/Portugese (whatever your native language is!)

Just French with a Spanish nickname seen on a "B TV show" ?
See screenshot below
!!
Well i have had that screenshot, restarted my phone as suggested but then I can't make it work!
So I have the screen like this, hit reboot, then can't access the hidden menu

Very strange did you spread your two fingers on screen at the same time?

I also have a Mate 10. This works for me, but only in "Standard" not "Drawer" style homescreen. I have not found a way to hide apps in the drawer using stock launcher.
Same here with Honor 9 and emiui 8, zoom out-->home settings, zoom in--->nothing :/
I can confirm that the hidden apps folder works on EMUI 8.1 on P20 Pro but only in Standard homescreen mode, but not in Drawer mode.
