Hi all,
I see that the "unofficial" official Android 2.1 update for the Sprint Hero was leaked out a few days ago but unfortuantely this does not install on the UK Hero.
Is there anyway to force install this ROM onto the UK Hero? Im a bit of a noob when it comes to flashing Android handsets.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan.

If I remember correctly, the Sprint Hero is a CDMA-device, so the 2.1 ROM is built for different (albeit very similar indeed) hardware. So it will not work (not properly, if at all) even if you do get it to flash. But rest assured, now that the official Sprint 2.1 ROM is out there, ROM cookers will probably dissect it and make it work for the GSM Hero.
And I believe now that the official GSM Hero 2.1 update isn't far behind anymore, just a matter of Google approving of it (and since HTC gave each localized version of the Hero its own SKU, Google has to approve of them per localization, something HTC has since fixed by using one SKU internationally for the Legend and one internationally for the Desire, but sadly, this is why updates for the Hero roll out so sporadically).
if it were useful, it would have been ported already. it's entirely possible you could force it to install but that could leave you with a non-functioning phone or one that's un-rootable... personally I'm gonna wait for the final release from here, once it's safe and tested. have patience!
i wouldnt even bother using a 2.1 rom untill we have a fully funcional kernel from source.Last night HTC Tweeted that....
HTC said:
Because we know how much you developers love source code...Legend, Incredible, Desire, and Eris(2.1) kernels are online. http://ht.ly/1MODf

So we will mroe than likely have to wait for there release of 2.1 before we can even get a taste of that sought after kernel

Thanks to Geoff M for setting this up. Sorry, but this forum site won't let me post a link.
So basicly I got a new phone a while back which was the HTC Desire 601. Just recently I decided to root my phone and lately the framework it is on is crashing I believe because everyone app with either crash in seconds or will not open. I have phone a temp solution to put off the problem for one or two days before it returns again. I'll give some specs of my phone:
HTC Desire 601
Rooted and unlocked bootloader
Xposed framework V2.4.1
I am with the carrier Bell and the phone is locked to them.
I am running Android 4.2.2
It only started to do this after I got the Xposed framework working on the phone which is what I am assuming is causing it. I just need help getting the crashing to stop. Here is an example from my phone that I am talking about, I just uploaded so the quality from YouTube may be crap but it's something:

Hi everyone, I got this phone the last November and I am still waiting the Android 6.0. This phone is quite new, was released on october in the Oriental Market. I personally think that this device is very powerful also if he got the Mediatek Helio X10. Anyway, I would like to know if anyone already have this phone with Android 6.0 or is there is some Modding Rom available for it. I will really appreciate the help from the moderator and from the developer.
Thank you very much for your time and have a nice day
Is there any chance to talk with any developer of the xda forum to ask and maybe help him for make any firmware upgrade? I mean I would like to be happy help us giving what they want like the phone firmware in itself, kernel, everything.
Hi
Need Custom rom for this model HTC M9PX HIAUR_ML_TUHL
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone of you has or know where I can find the stock original Rom of Taiwan version of my HTC M9+ Supreme Camera Edition. I will prefer find the android 6 version, but does not matter to be honest, also the android 5 is fine. I want just a clean rom without any Chinese useless app.
Thanks in advance.
Hey guys,
im using HTC-Smartphones since the Realease of the first HTC Desire HD.
Now my old HTC one m8 broke and i bought a new one from the internet.
The guy who sold it told me it was a original HTC one M8 GPE (Google Playedition) but rooted. The Bootloader tells me it is unlocked.
The Application SuperSU is installed and im getting the notifications for OTA Updates.
And here the problems start.
Whenever im trying to install on Update and my phone reboots for it im Landing on a "Team WIn recovery Project 3.0.2-0" screen and cant install the Update properly.
I uinstalled the App SuperSu by a mistake when i clicked on sth with "unroot" in the settings.
now my phone frequently crashes saying "Android-system" has been terminated (in german).
So i have these questions:
First of all: How do i find out if the M8 is really an original GPE or just flashed with a GPE Rom?
Second: Can i somehow install a completely new Version of the GPE or restore the origininal GPE stock Rom without root-Access?
PS: Sorry for my bad english. Im from germany and i wrote this in a hurry.
Kind regards.
Anyone can help me?
Hello all,
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask however ...
I recently got a HTC desire 620 to tide me over a few months and I cannot seem to find a custom rom to update it beyond 4.4.4 at all! everywhere seems to be empty.
The phone is stuck and has no updates and some apps don't support 4.4 anymore!
Any help?
