Hi.
I have Chinese Star A5000 phone running Android 2.2.1 Froyo.
The SD card reader is broken, so I don't have external memory.
Is it possible to install .apk applications on it, and how ?
Thanks.
The market doesn't require external storage, but some apps do. You shouldn't have a problem downloading straight from the Market.
Sent from my Evo + MIUI using Tapatalk!
I'm using the Market without problem.
The app I'm trying to install is not in the Market, I only have the .apk file.
use adb from a PC & a usb cable
google install apk with adb if you dont know the code to type, you should find so good info if you read a little
good luck

You could sideload it (install it straight from your pc). It can be done easily with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063073. Just make sure the drivers for your device are installed on your PC.
I've been busy for the past few days, and now finally found some time to try the program.
Thanks, it worked .
Hi Everyone,
I'm having trouble manually installing apk files from a file explorer. Whenever I try to, it says I have insufficient memory. But I have over 10gb of available memory. This happened after tinkering with Lucky Patcher and then eventually uninstalling it. Im afraid i might have changed something whithin Lucky Patcher and now I cant reinstall it because of the installation problem. My s6 edge is Pingpong rooted and also has OTG helper if this helps. dont know if it messes up with drive mounting.
Installing from google play is no problem at all.
Thanks for anyones suggestions

Have you try this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40411252&postcount=5
Thank you for reply! Yes I did everything there. Thing is im not allowed to install any app for it shows insufficient memory for every app i try to install. But i think lucky patcher messed it up. But also lucky patcher might be able to fix it. Is there a way for me to manually install lucky patcher so I can bypass the installer menu?
Like extract its files to a specied folder?
I tried installing through adb with this command, adb install -r app.apk
but it still says I have insufficient memory even in adb.
Also, I noticed that Titanium Backup is not recognizing all of my apps. Just a few system apps.
Return to stock...
Yey! I was able to fix it with Rom toolbox! Switched installation path to internal.
Hello,
First, I would like to apologize for my English.
I have Acer Iconie One 7, B1-750 with Android 4.4.4 (Kitkat). I wanted to install GPS navigation (Sygic Voucher edition) through Google play. Everything was fine, I installed the application, but for the maps there was no enought free space on the system storage. Android Kitkat 4.4 removes ability to write files to the MicroSD card. So I rooted this android, I applied SDfix to restores this ability by modifying a configuration file. Than I installed FolderMount and Link2SD Plus applications. I successfully followed these instructions ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236566 ) ... everything was still ok, applications works correctly, linking applications works fine. But once during the linking mentioned application (Sygic Voucher edition) suddanly It freezes and restarted Android. The application will not run after that so I uninstalled it, and also I must delete ext2 partition and create it again through MiniTool Partition Wizard because Link2SD after a sudden restart could not load ext2 partition.
Now let's go to the heart of the matter
When I want to install Sygic Voucher edition application again through Google play (Google store) It gives me an error "Application could not be installed, insufficient storage available". This error gives me when It wants to install downloaded files. I tried all ways to fix the problem of this type- clear cache and data, uninstall updates of google play and update etc... but nothing helped. I also tried to install application by .xapk, but reported the same problem as google play. Of course I have enought space on system storage and SDcard. Other applications I can install without problems ! Only in this application reports mentioned bug! I think it may be due to the sudden restarting the system during the linking application. Is there anybody, who can help me with this problem please ? I will be very grateful because I am really dasperate ... Thanks
I've a problem. After unroot, and install some apps (mobizen, pokemon go, vlc media player, fly gps, facebook, messenger), I started play pokemon go, first I have a problem with fly gps, but after change settings it started work, but I can't login into my google account. After try login I receive a "Unable to auth. Please try again". I don't know who I will do. I installed Remix on my 2nd disk in my laptop, so I have access to data, system and an other files. Pls, I be geek  , and I don't know how to fix it.
The game might not work on Remix OS. Anyway. Here is a old NEWS.
"Pokemon Go all versions banning emulators
As we all know that Niantic is banning emulators. Several days ago we can use 0.35.0 apk to play but this isn't workable anymore. The game will force update to the newer version."
They added protection on their apk to where it checks for Emu and Root. Just don't get your account ban on the game.

Yea but it blocked. You see the message right there.
So, ok. I will trying, but I now know It will don't work. When It will magic work I will write that .
I have a Microsoft Surface Go 3 and have successfully installed the Windows Subsystem for Android. However, none of the apps I installed appear to be able to access the SD card on the device.
For example, I installed Moon+ Reader. When I try to set the default to directory to the SD Card, the app cannot see the directories on the card.
I have run across several posts on how to mount drives and folders in the Windows Subsystem for Linux, but not finding anything about the Subsystem for Android.
Are you running the official WSA, or the Google Play store hack? If the latter, I recommend uninstalling it, because it installed malware on your system.
A Windows 11 tool to enable the Google Play Store was actually malware
There are a few ways to install the Google Play Store on Windows 11, but it turns out that one tool actually brought malware as well.
www.androidauthority.com
As far as accessing your Surface Go's resources like SD cards and hard drive. I don't think that is available yet.
This is straight from Microsoft: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/android/wsa/

Thanks for the information. I am running the official WSA, I also saw there are issues with several of the hacks to install Google Play instead of Amazon.
Download this app from microsoft store:
https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NXM6552H2QL
and turn on developer mode on WSA
you will access all the files now and install APKs by it and a few more pretty function's
this is the easiest way I found
Aow Tools, could be a very super app!
Installed by Microsoft Store, it starts in Chinese on my Hungarian system, and cannot even be switched to English.
What could be the problem?
Edit:
The solution is born!
- I uninstalled the application
- I changed the system language to English
- Downloaded again
- It started in English
- I reset the system language to Hungarian
- The app language has not changed, it remains English
