Hey there!! Maybe you can give me some advice on how I can modify the partition system on this device. The internal storage has 2 partitions, one of 0.98GB and the other of 4.94GB. The problems is only the small one can be used for apps. Is there anyway in which I can increase the size of the small partition?? The device is rooted and I have TWRP installed on it. If you need any new information ask me. Thank you friends.

Hi I would like to increase the stock rom (version 4.0.4) system partitions.
How can I do that?
Thank in advanace
bump
no, if you tried you would end up bricking your phone. Playing with the partitioning on phone is only done in extereme cases to fix a soft bricked phone. Not to gain extra space.
use an external sdcard and transfer files to that.
Thank you, If put a cyamogen rom is it going to solve the issue?
what issue are you trying to resolve. more information is need.
It's said that the system partition is full because the system partition on SGS2 is 512MB and i would like to increase it to 1024MB
this is the phone its an Android ICS4.0.4 all i want increase internal memory thats all
i have NO knowledge in ROM or Kernel, i try to root it yes its rooted already have
super user on it, used mini tools to partition sd card, link2sd apps but still internal
memory is 127mb..
hope u can help me out thanks in advance.. :fingers-crossed:
I'm running Liquid Smoth 3.1, and noticed the internal memory (for apps and such) is separated from the internal SD. Can we increase the internal memory allocation? I don't recall if this was common or not before I installed the ROM.
Still no solution found...

This is how old Samsung used as a separated partition(2GB/Remaining space) structure.
I could confirm that newer models only have one partition.
I had researched days of searches and still did NOT find confirmed easy solutions like flashing ZIP files.
(My research -> Link)
I REALLY DO wish someone could guide me a solution to repartition as one total 16GB(Like newer Galaxy)
or expending 2GB system partition to any bigger size.
I still did NOT find the solution and still looking.
The only last method I did not try - Working with ADB command which I need to consider to brick my phone.
But this is my primary phone that I use.
Even worse, KitKat ROM(I am using beanStalk ver 4.4.4001) does not allow to use App2SD function.
I have to manage all of my apps+data+decent space within 2 GB limitation even if I have 11GB available
space as an Internal Storage (NOT External SD).
Hope it helps and let you know you are in same boat with me.
Once again, I wish there is an easy solution who could help us!
Any Update??
HI, has anyone found a solution? ty

Dear developers,
Recently I got a new phone Vivo Y22 with Funtouch OS v1.0 (Christmas present). Its was okay at first then it start telling me that storage has not enough space (with only factory apps and Clean Master). I realize the it had about 4GB internal storage but divided to 2 parts. 2.5GB for system space and 1.06GB as internal storage. In system space, i have only 150mb left I always need to use Clean Master to wipe cache before I download anything. I tried Link2SD, I formatted my SD card and set 4GB partition as EXT2 but did not detect. Same goes for EXT3 and EXT4. It only works for FAT32 but some files cannot be linked using this format. Read some threads in web, they mentioned some phone does not support EXT2,3,4 format. Maybe this is my case? I tried to look for informations about Vivo Y22 but very less and worst, some of them is in chinese.
So the 1st question is: How can I increase the system space? Could I adjust the system space to occupy my more of my Internal Memory?
Second question is, how do I update my phone from JellyBean to KitKat? Do I follow tutorials that uses the same Chipset (Y22 uses MediaTek MT6582)? How if I want to install custom ROMs like CM11 (can't find Vivo Y22 in Device section in CM site so i presume it is not supported?)? There is very less information about rooting and flashing when it comes to this phone. I only manage to root the phone using tutorials given for some other chinese phone.
Thanks in advance..

Did you ever manage to fix this? I'd love to root my Y22 and put vanilla Android on there but can't find how to do it. The memory problem is useless on this phone.
Hi guys,
I don't know how to explain this. I used custom ROM Miui for my rooted Lenovo before. And it's used a whole single partition on a physical internal phone as it does. But when I'm flashing Cyanogen 12.1, now it use "emulated method" for its internal storage. Because of that, I've lost about 3gb of space, Cyanogen surely made its own partition, and not mounting my real/physical partition. Now, the Cyanogen only read 5gb of internal storage, for system and data.
If I change back, Miui can read it all, the whole single internal phone storage, which is 8gb.
How can I fix this? Do I really need to sacrifice 3gb of space to use Cyanogen?
Thanks for your help!
