Someone may not remember the password to their own personal gmail account and factory reset for some reason, without first removing their google account. On startup they'll be required to enter the password to their google account to access their phone, rendering it useless if they don't remember their password. Reflashing would fix the problem, but to someone not well-versed in this, following this guide to bypass FRP would be useful to them to save their device.

Reflashing would only work with a pre-unlocked bootloader, which kinda defeats the purpose of FRP.

Flashing frp locked phones is not possible in many frp locked phones. In others, flashing will not remove frp

Whenever it's available. These things aren't released on a schedule. They're released when a way is found and it works consistently/reliably.

So how long does it take eventually to be out yet. Like a month or few weeks. Or until someone cracks the door??

It comes out when it comes out. It could take a week, or maybe a month, or possibly 2 years. No one knows until it is released.

This thread should be closed because it can be used for no good.

Locked bootloader means no development. So.....
I guess its over for us unless the t-mobile unlock once released somehow works for us too. What a shame I doubt the t-mobile unlock will work as it would likely be for that variant only. Im done with Samsung
That's why I signed the t-mobile petition, and started one for Sprint. We need to pressure samsung on all fronts!

Oh yeah if you call Samsung ask for advanced tech support right out of the gate the people that first answer are not that aware of what a bootloader is. They always think that its about rooting even though similar they are very very different. Check this link out this one guy is claiming that rooting works.

I am not 100 percent sure but I bet the ceo gets Samsung to do it. I am only speculating at this point. I'm hopeful but just look at samsungs history with certain carriers. What we need is a way to sign a modified firmware with sammys keys but that would be nearly impossible.
If t-mobile gets n unlock method, I'm sure we will. Seeing as the hardware is the same, if we don't get one, one the awesome development here will find a way to make it work.

Kingroot doesn't work. OEM lock is basically reactivation lock.

Metal, what bad stuff besides possibly tripping knox would turning on OEM unlock and trying to root might happen? I guess this is like asking when the white rabbit is going to show up.

Metal have you seen the chainfire thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/sm-g930-exynos-cf-auto-root-t3337353
OEM unlock won't trip knox, Chainfire root will just fail and nothing will change. If we eventually get unlocked bootloaders, then yes, normal rooting will trip Knox and disable samsung pay.
Is it possible to flash say a stock image T-Mobile firmware on a Sprint variant (or any other US variant given that inside they are all the same device)?

You couldn't find any steps on how to root your V10? Really? You obviously did not put any effort at all into finding your answer. SMH.
The ones I found are for the lollipop version. And I tried them they didn't workm. It made a thing come up on my phone when i restart saying it can't check for software corruption. No need to be rude.

I'll give you a hint. Look in the tmobile v10 general section.
Use the search function next time. Not being rude juat honest here... you really did not try searching for it at all. If you did you would have found it. The topic of the thread is very clear.
Good luck and happy rooting.
OK now be nice. Not everyone is as advanced with things as others are. Trust me, those that lend a helping hand will have their rewards in life returned. Your tone was horrible.

Did you unlock the bootloader? That was my problem. I figured the BL would remain unlocked, since I was esentially "upgrading" from 5.1.1. and it was already unlocked, so when I got to that step, the message told me it was already unlocked. So, I continued on as if everything was ok. But once I flashed MM, it relocked the bootloader. . So, when I tried to flash the TOT file, that's where the red fail message came in.

The only thing i can think of is if you unlock it and install a custom recovery have someone with the same variant make a dummy google account flash from that backup remove the dummy account and add your wifes.im not sure if it will work 100% but thats the only thing i can think of.i have the us997 version or i would do it for you
I believe u can factory reset and then try again.
You're best bet is re-flashing the software with the LGup I think that's what its called.
There's no chance reflashing stock firmware, it's safety boot, even with root is not possible. Maybe some bypasses based on Usb OTG like some Samsung Phones could work.
Got it worked out. The original owner called me and let me sign in with his name. Added my account the deleted his. Then did a factory reset and all is well.

I edited my original post but it doesn't edit the quoted posts. Sorry for any misinformation. I guess you have to use a desktop instead of phone to get to the bootloader unlock site. -- for that gent looking to unlock -- I know they are turning it off. So even if he went to DCunlocker, they use Huawei to get the code, so once Huawei takes down the site, it's my understanding you won't be able to use DCunlocker either any longer for Huawei.

A new bootloader unlocking method?

Hi,
Did anyone try this method for unlocking bootloader :

I downloaded al the files just in case they take it offline.
BTW the part to get the unlock code looks kinda harmless to me entering it back in to unlock.... I guess that is the tricky part
