Hi
I was wondering why xiaomi have locked the charging speed to 1.4 mhA. In theory our soC support PumpExpress+ and it would allow us to charge our RN2 in half the time or less
Do you guys think that it would possible to activate the quick charge trough some kernel tweeks?
why that choice from xiaomi, though? maybe to protect the lifespan of our still really capable battery?
Bump.
Did someone tested it?
i think we need kernel source code for activate that feature. xiaomi still won't release the source code.

i think i feel different charge speed in mt6795T (prime version), a placebo ?

I think they do something. My RN2 charging about 1,5h from ~5% to 100%

On my LG G6 i get around 6 to 7 SOT so is 3to 4 good or no ?
As for me it is a completely satisfying sot time. The phone works from morning till night and that's enough for me. At night I connect it to charge. If I have an intensive day, I will install incipio power pack.

SOT depends so much on the individual. If you want to be certain then buy a battery mod. The mods are one of the advantages of the Moto Z.
is good,5 ~ 6h display, but i not play game.
5 to 6, no games. Mostly just a bit of browsing, Xda labs, texts. Not much else.
Over 8 with the incipio battery mod.
As said earlier though, hard to compare, since we all use our phones differently, and our setups are different too. But my Z is pretty near the same as my N6 was. Without the battery mod. :good:
Hello everyone !
I've got a little problem.
My battery die fastly. The phone is all new and the SOT is near 2h max. And I do nothing more than SMS, browser and apps like.
No games... I'm afraid of testing that.
Hi all. It's possible to disable fast charging? I search this options in menu and developer settings but i don't find it.
I want this options for my battery for long time live.
Sorry for my bad English.

There isn't any as far as I know. Just get a charger without fast charging.

I use my phone a lot for gamers purposes, I understand that it is not ideal but it is necessary to charge while gaming. The problem is, at some point the battery tends to decrease its percentage even while charging until sometime in the middle of a match the phone runs out of battery power and shuts down.
Upon starting again, I continue to gaming and apparently the charger can supply.
Reading the forums I saw that ROM programming prevents fast charging at high temperatures, does anyone have a solution for this? Would using some kernel, thermal (chrysalis, etc.) help me in this case?
It's annoying while I gaming having to worry about low battery.
I appreciate the attention of anyone who can help me!
Solution is simple. Stop charging battery while gaming. U killing battery fast.

I understand that, but it is playing 40 minutes to load 1 hour ... so I made the topic, for a solution, anyway thanks.
My biggest problem is having to charge the device but even when plugging in the charger keep falling.

That is a safety feature to save not only the battery but also you. It is dangerous to disable this, seeing the way you game.
Is the phone overheating? If yes, you need to cool it or get used with it
If not, try changing your cable and or charger. Cables can be tricky, chargers can be tricky too and the combo with bad cable and bad charger is a showstopper. Using the original charger or a standard USB charger capable of 3amps output is a must. Using the original or a good replacement cable is also a must.
Then try the Ampere app - measures the current flowing to the battery while charging. 2.8amps is excellent. It only occurs at cool ambient temperature and if you're not using the phone actively while charging.
1.5-1.8 is good if you are using the phone while charging. 1 amp is not very nice but will keep your battery from loosing %. If current drops below 0.5amps you will hardly gain any % if you use the phone in the same time and more likely it will be dropping.
Note that you must do the check when your batt is, let's say, half charged. The closer you get to 100% the lower the current goes for safety reasons.
Sounds like the 'regular' battery drain in stock miui combined with a crappy cable / charger really..
Quality chargers ( blitzwolf and anker for example ) are very worth it and offer peace of mind at the same time imho..
This device still a good one or recommend to upgrade to the redmi note 9S ?
have a battery problem right now and charging port defective.. I can replace the battery and the charging port..
Stable MIUI
if u have extra money, and like to buy gadgets, and like to take picture(i assume newer phone has better camera). why not. if no, this phone can do more than enough, at least for me, mine has audio jack problem tho :|

Honestly I'd say you should get the 9s if you have a chance. Mido is still enough for normal use, yes, but there's a lot of upgrades with the 9s (camera, design, cpu, etc). You should consider getting the 9s if you really wanna use your phone (especially for the camera).
But if you don't wanna spend your money on it, then I think mido is still fine for normal use like I said before.
I've updated my Redmi Note 9s with the new MIUI update 11.0.10. I've noticed when I charged my phone, that it inly has the single lightning icon beside the battery which means it is not fast charging. I've used different fast charging capable cables and chargers (even the original cable and power brick) but it doesn't work.

I think it is still working, they just updated the fast charging icon two lightning bolts above eachother instead of next to eachother.

No worries, i didnt either at first, I thought something wasnt quite the same. But seems they snuck in the change in 11.0.10. It was only when I seen that miui12 post that I realised they'd implemented in v11 too.
