Honestly I'd say you should get the 9s if you have a chance. Mido is still enough for normal use, yes, but there's a lot of upgrades with the 9s (camera, design, cpu, etc). You should consider getting the 9s if you really wanna use your phone (especially for the camera).
But if you don't wanna spend your money on it, then I think mido is still fine for normal use like I said before.

Hi
I am Nexus 4 user - great phone with lot of great ROMs available here, great performance and good size - but battery is no longer big enough to match my needs. So I am looking for a new phone and ran into Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
There is a lot of positive comments about this device, but also quite a lot of drawbacks - no 800MHZ band, problems with microphone/speaker, some battery performance issues... So, is there any better choice in that kind of money? I am looking for something with big battery to be able to do something more than 2-2,5h of WEB vieweing... I am not playing games, apps that I am using are not really demanding ones. My other thought is Asus Zenfone Max - but Redmi Note 3 PRO looks much better while comparing some statistics.
So, any other thoughts? I would be grateful for all responses and advices
If you need 800mhz try: http://www.geekbuying.com/item/-HK-...OTG-Fast-Charge-Gyroscope---Black-367828.html
I have no issues with battery or speaker. 800mhz isn't the end of the world unless you 100% need it
If you can live without 800mhz and bad low light camera, nothing can beat this device value. Battery and performance is among the best you can get today.
I never have those mic/speaker/battery/performance issues.
Hello, I received my RN3 Pro yesterday and I have to say it's freakin amazing. A definite upgrade from Nexus 4(I came from a Moto G2, and before that Nexus 4). I charged it to 100% yesterday and it gave me 7.5hrs SOT till 1pm today, which is frankly mind blowing for two reasons,
1) More than 4hrs SOT ftw
2) I played around 1hr of Pokemon go ( continuously uses 3G and GPS) and still managed 7hrs sot.
So yes, you'll easily get >3hrs of web viewing. The one issue I found however is that the phone makes a hissing sound when connected to AUX cable, many people have this problem and are saying it's software related, so maybe there will be a fix. Secondly on very low volume with earphones,(step 1-3) you can hear a noticeable hissing sound which I'm pretty sure is software related, but it's not a deal breaker. The drawback of the Asus I feel is that there's no rom support, not as good specs as the RN3. RN3 has a snapdragon 650 which is basically an improved version of last year's flagship SoC. Also, build quality is amazing on the RN3. MIUI is a great feature packed rom!
So basically I definitely recommend the RN3, the battery life is going to definitely make you very happy
Yes definitely, its a beast and even I came from mako to this phone .I've to say I'm amazed by its battery and performance.really so fast the custom ROM development is awesome for this phone.. definitely a good choice to buy this phone for such a low cost..!
Thank You very much for all answers
Yeah, I think I can live without 800mhz, for taking good photos in every occasion I have other more specialized devices
I just ordered 2/16 version
Hello guys i am little confused to buy a new device since are lots of out there.and i think this is a perfect place to know your opinions about v10.
I am using samsung galaxy note 4 right now and i am about to buy lg v10 cuz i like the design and socendery display.
So what's your suggestions guys should i upgrade from note 4 to v10 or it should be not good upgrade?
How is the performance compare to note 4 ?
And how is the battery life ? I heard snapdragon 808 has lot heating issues and battery drain
Thank you.
808 doesn't have heating issues like the 810.
I upgraded from the note 3 to the v10 and there was a night and day difference. I'm not sure the difference would be as noticable from a note 4.
The problem with the v10 is definitely the battery life, fortunately you can get battery packs with double (6400 mAh) or triple the capacity (9000 mAh) which makes the battery life good enough.
I like my v10 but unless you've got either an aftermarket battery pack or a spare battery the battery life is pretty terrible.

Depends on what you expect...Phone seems durable. No custom ROM'S jet (probably never), batt. is so-so...camera compared to your note4 is maybe slight better...but just because manual mode.
I'm still waiting for that ''perfect phone'' to be out.
I honestly think you should keep your note 4, buy a spare battery pack, and install a note 7 rom, because the battery life in this phone isn't all that, and there is no support for this phone
So I bought a new battery, still drained as hell, swapped ROMs still draining fast, tried to reduce CPU clock still nothing.
So were both my batteries faulty or it's a bug in the software?
Currently using RaineStorm Pro 6.6.17 MIUI8 and it's the best ROM so far but the battery still drains faster than expected.
Any help is apprieciated, thanks in advance.
The only advice I can give to you is not to buy a mediatek phone the next time. They are know to be awful under every aspect.
Hello guys,
Lately I was thinking about changing my redmi note 2, which I was satisfied with, but with the battery capacity in new phones it makes you wonder, the phone is still in perfect state the only problem is the battery which I changed two times, and since I'm satisified with rest of the phones I'm thinking of putting larger capacity batter into it, like the redmi 5 one, sicne they are both li-ion batteries, and I think they have the same dimmensions, I just have to solder some wires, please tell me what you guys think, and if it's possible....
best!

thanks for your reply, I bought a new phone instead
Hey guys I was actually scouting for new devices when I found a unboxed but new edge 30 pro for a great price. So my question is, is it a good device and should I even consider buying it. Also on the same point how is the battery life which is my greatest worry considering the 8 gen 1 in it. And how is the stock ui been.
Thank you !
Welp, phone seems pretty nice,
But 5000mAh battery scares me.
its not worth it, battery life is atrocious, updates are the worst in Android world, has no telephoto whatsoever, if u are into stock just get Pixel or Oneplus
OnePlus seems to be a problematic about its firmware and productivity,
Redmi or poco would be nice
Samsung would be nice too.
OnePlus with custom rom is considered best + it's snapdragon not overheating Tensor mess, Xiaomi with AOSP if any for newer devices, is trash and is best used with MIUI ( noone really likes that )
Of course it is, Xiaomi phones only indeed to work nicely with MIUI,
My battery lasts easily 1 day, sometimes up to 2, I really have no clue why are people complaining - are y'all running with all your services turned on constantly?...
literally everyone who owns a motorola device is complaining in their official forums so you gotta be using it for phone calls only and not as a top dog smart device, the drain on that thing is insane, if i bring my old Snapdragon 865 device running both @ 144hz , Moto will be fully dead while the other will be at over 60%
US equivalent is Edge+2022
A13 has battery improved, but it has minor flickering issue due to inconsistent brightness on different refresh rate. Set it on 60 or 144Hz can avoid the issue

I don't complain. I have Moto device (mid-range) and it has been very good since 2019. Month ago i changed new battery and now it's still good for next three years
Battery life is also great. 2 days easily and 7-8H sot usually with 60% usage.

I would not buy Edge 30 Pro because Edge 40 Pro is so much better. Atleast specs.

Ah i see, yeah i would love to do that but the reason i was considering the edge 30 pro was due to a fantastic deal. After some days of researching i beleive this is a good device with a minor caviate being the battery life
Hopefully once i do get the device the battery wouldn't be too much of an issue, and i don't find any other skeltons in the closet. (Maybe i might even be pleasently suprised by the battery life considering my 888 is not a high bar to clear)

Okay, so if like it then buy it
I don't think that battery life is your problem. I think 8 gen 1 heating could be problem.

Ah, i see from what i have read though even with the x30 being an inferno, the edge 30 pro was quite good with head management, i hope that statement is actually true and not just reviewer fluff
there is no heat management, device is very plasticky and thus has no vapor chamber solution, heat is not an issue, battery suffers from poor governors, if u are buying from china unlock bootloader and use it with custom rom
