[Q] s2 flashing problem

I brought galaxy s2 from three carrier in UK. Accidently I hard brick my phone and flash firmware from sammobile. Com via odin . Everything is fine in this jellybean stock rom. Now I can't flash any custom rom. It gives status 7 errors. I tried many roms. I updated cmw recovery to latest version by rom manager but still can't flash any. Does other stock rom changes s2 model number. For now it's showing gt i9100.Was it att or tmobile or skyrocket or else when I brought it? Why can't I flash rom? Why there is no twrp available for galaxy s2 this model? Help me guys. God bless you!
I've had that error on kk ROMs when tried to flash from old recovery. If I remember you should have at least 6.0.47 recovery version. Try to flash Gustavo_s kernel,Apollo or doromanx and try to flash again.
When flashing via recovery cwm has a security check that checks the model of your phone to the model of what rom you are flashing . If they do not match It returns status 7 error which prevents from installing wrong rom and hardbricking your phone .
Error can happen when recovery is not updated . A simple fix is to make sure you are on the latest recovery .
TWRP : I think it doesn't have the security check however :
INSTALLING WRONG ROM WILL MOST LIKELY HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE
I am sure you know that already .
There is TWRP for i9100 . There are methods to remove the security check via editing the rom but it is not recommended

Thank you guys for reply. I flash kernel once and it was struck on boot screen. As you said there is twrp available for galaxy s2. I have heard lot of positive vibes about twrp. But in their official website s2 gt I9100 is not listed. It's only for s2 Exhilarate SGH-i577. Is it correct? Any working twrp download link for particular I9100 model? I have heard that twrp are less likely to status 7 errors.
Apparently twrp is not officially supported by i9100 however there are ports by other people . I know because of my last attempt to install cm11 snapshot m8 after flashing gone abit wrong I was getting status 7 error even on my backups .
Try installing (or using kernel) omni-rom . It is available with cwm or twrp kernels ... not sure how it fits with carriers though ...

How did you recover from last brick ? Did you flashed stuff or had the mainboard changed ?

[Q] Help - my tablet thinks it's a different model

Flashed a system.flashable while installing a rooted stock rom - my device is an sgp11 / pollux_windy / 16gb wifi model.
I tried to go back to CM because I liked it better, recovery tells me I cant because my device is a pollux. This held true also for omni rom.
I thought, fine I'll install the pollux version.
Recovery told me I cant because my device is a Yuga (which is the phone isnt it?)
How do i get it to think its a real pollux_windy again?! I've flashed several different stock roms, but I cant get back to CM

[Q] stuck on cm12 can not flash anything else

So I have been running cm12 for a few days, tried flashing Barrin, sacs v2 and cloudy 1.2 , all of which I have ran successfully before flashing cm12. I make it to the setup on each one and the phone freezing during set up and reboots. iI am at work so I don't have access to the lg flashtool, but I am scratching my head here.I even reflashed twrp, tried invisibleks philz recovery. Nothing works
Lol that happened to me too so I've been on cm12 since it dropped ... I did get cm11 nandroid to work also but my phone won't work stock
I was able to flash barrin v1 , then dirty flashed v2 and v2.1 . stock zv6 flashed first though. It was weird , plus my extsdcard needed to be reformatted.
Try stock zv6 that worked for me. Oh and I flashed a SuperSU zip..I don't know if that did anything just something I did
You may have to wipe internal sdcard.
Glad you got it going I wasn't really that pressed lol I only tried 2x and that was it

"No service" - Huawei Y6.

Hi,guys! So,last week I decided to install Cyanogenmod 12.1 from scratch on my Huawei Y6.I,first,unlocked the bootloader succesfully, than used ADB for fastboot to flash TWRP 3.0.2.0.Everything was nice and smooth.I did a backup of the stock rom after rooted, just in case it was required later.I managed to install CM 12.1 and GApps.I was excited,it worked great!Very fast. But,later I've found out that it was kinda buggy,so I wanted to restore the backup I did in TWRP.It restored succesfully without any errors, but when I booted in,in the corner where it was meant to show my service,it showed "No service"instead.I wasn't able to call(although I had my sim card contacts in the telephone app).Wi-Fi was working, but that is another story.Than I reinstalled CM 12.1 and the service was fully recognized. How can I repair it?Also,I used SuperSU.Could it be from the kernel?I have a zip file with the stock kernel.I did restored boot, system and data. Please help!
Can you try to flash your backup AND the stock kernel AND the system as well? Good luck!
By system you mean the stock recovery?

LineagOS on Chinese I9300

Hi everybody!
For some time I've been trying to flash LineageOS on my friends S3 (I9300) improted from China.
It's currently on 4.3 ZCUBML1 firmware. Every time I flash LineageOS the phone looses it's IMEI and baseband and the SIM card stops being recognized.
I tried flashing modem I extracted from stock rom over it, using patched modems, restoring backed up EFS partition etc. I've run out of ideas.
Any solutions?
The phone is running the latest modem and boot loader?
Yes, I think so. I downloaded and flashed the latest firmware from samsung-updates.com.
@KarKlim Before loosing your baseband is it MK6 ??
