Normal? - Samsung Galaxy Alpha

My alpha screen has horizontal banding when I have solid dark wallpaper on desktop. Is this normal? It's not very drastic but noticeable.

Why would you need such a bright screen? You'll end up cooking your phone anyway.

Any idea?

I had a similar problem, it was hard to see under the sun. I decided with a matte protective film. Greatly improved. And not have to end my battery using the maximum brightness.:

255 is the max you can get. Which rom? I'm asking because stock always looked brighter than custom IMO.

Banding above capacitive buttons

Anyone have a slight shadow or banding above the navigation buttons ? Especially on white backgrounds like the Google homepage?

I'm not sure if it's banding or light leakage but I have it. I noticed it last night after the store closed and I'm debating on exchanging it.

If what im seeing is what you are seeing then I cant really say that its noticeable at all for me (trust me im super super keen on these kinds of things) I dont see any light leakage which is good
I can definitely confirm now that when the menu bar is present with my capacitive buttons on, there's definitely light leaking over and I can see 3 areas where the light is overpowering the black.

Inverted message.apk

It is the inverted version of the MMS.apk (Message+PRIME) for the HTC DNA...it is coming soon, I have still to work on some png's before I post it on the related Theme at that Link :

I use the dark theme on my xda app and the black background looks really nice on this screen. I'll definitely be trying your inverted sense.

Moto X Features on Google play store?

I really one moto X's notification system the one where when you phone is in sleep mode and you get a notification the screen doesn't fully light up it just shows a dim notification? Is this possible?

Anyone?

The Moto x can do that due to its amoled display. That allows it to turn on only certain pixels to display the notification.
The HTC one does not use an amoled display. It would have to turn on the entire screen to display the notification draining battery. It's a difference in technology.

I guess that makes sense but I still think it's possible since there is the daydream feature which has that kind of dim screen. So I thought it might be possible
