Hello
I have a problem that I can't flash any TWRP recovery using flashify or adb commands to flash any TWRP recovery, but it can flash the stock recovery img.
I'm using official NX507J 3.01 update, and want to flash the last Mokee version for that phone.
Any help?
Thank you

Almost same here but after flashing a custom rom it won't boot into recovery
I had the same issue. I could not install TWRP recovery because I could not get my Z7 Max to stop showing "Offline" in ADB. I found a work around to this was to first use an installer for CWM recovery.
This istaller uses ADB, but for some reason it is able to bring the device online and "sideload"? CWM recovery through a scripted interface. once installed you can go through the script again and select boot to recovery and it will restart your phone and load CWM.
You can now use CWM to install your ROMs and other zip files. If you prefer you can also use CWM to install a different recovery like TWRP recovery.
I will try to find the source.
In any case there seems to be an issue for some in getting the Z7 Max to connect properly to ADB. If anyone knows of a solution to this "device offline" issue please share.

What version of twrp are you using? I would update twrp if you aren't on the latest since some roms require newer versions of recovery

i am using v 2.1.8, or whichever version comes with the one click method .........thanks for the quick response! is there an updated version i can try??
Go to teamwin and download the latest, if you aren't familiar with fastboot then download the zip update and rename it following the instructions listed and in recovery mount external and copy the zip. Do not place the zip on internal, it will cause the phone to endlessly install and reboot (or reboot if you cancel) if you don't have a full system to boot to
easiest way is to download goo manager app.. top rite click the box.. then hit install openrecoveryscript.. that will install the latest twrp.. :good:
Hi xda!
I have a Z5C and i was tired of sonys laggy version of Android so I decided to install zombie kernel with twrp as backup.
The kernel works brilliant but I can only boot to recovery with help from fastboot. I would like to be able to boot to recovery directly from my phone without the use of fastboot/PC..
I also have a z4 tablet with Androplus kernel with twrp recovery.. And I am able to boot directly from the tablet to recovery.
So I decided to install Androplus and twrp for my z5c. I tried to install twrp through twrp and it looked like it was installed... However still not able to boot to recovery without fastboot. Then I tried to install with fastboot and I got an error - picture attached.
When I look under "about phone" the phone tells me that I'm still using the old zombiekernel??
How do I get Androplus kernel and working twrp installed on my z5c?
Thanks in advance

To boot to recovery in the z5c you gotta pudg the volume up while booting over and over until you see the notification LED go red-yellow-orange
Once you're in recovery you could restore your old kernal if you made s bsckup
I know... But that is not working. The only way i can get it to boot is with fastboot. What to do?

Try flash tool to push anew kernel maybe.I've never done it but from what j have read, download your firmware from xperia firmware and use flash tool to only flash kernel.
You need to use fastboot to flash the boot.img to the phone and then do the same for recovery.img. It will then work with androplus kernel and twrp.
Thats my setup currently.

Sorry to resurect this old thread. Can you or anyone provide a boot.img or how to go about creating one? I am in same situation (stuck at boot screen) and only have access to fastboot. Thanks.
For which version of rom? I can give you 32.0.A.200 boot.img and twrp recovery.
Are you sure you're clicking volume up when booting? It doesn't work when you hold the volume up button down.
If y'all go to the twrp thread there is a modified boot.IMG that allows booting to recovery now.
I had twrp installed before, and i wanted to updae it. So i downloaded twrp app, downloaded twrp img file and try to flash it , and twrp app says flash webt fine. But when i reboot to recovery it keeps loading, like if it was a bootloop of TVE recovery... Idk what is happening, can someone help me?? Thanks!!
Heyyo, hmm is TWRP app installed as a system app? TWRP is able to do that from within TWRP recovery. Installing it from the Play store does not install it as a system app.
I do always prefer to install TWRP updates manually but that's just personal preference.
If you can't boot to recovery? You may need to flash TWRP via bootloader and a PC using...
fastboot flash twrp-3.2.1-2-x2.img
Good luck!
Oh, if you're rooted? I think you can use flashify app via play store to flash TWRP image to recovery... But tbh haven't tried it like that in a while but I imagine it still can work like that.
I tried KingoRoot both pc and phone doesnt work
I tried the flashing SuperSU method using TWRP but it always boot on eRecovery / stock recovery emui. Im sure i flashed TWRP via adb-fastboot correctly. Some say flashing a new OS would allow me to boot on TWRP ? hmmm? If so what are the available custom rom/os for Huawei Y6 2018 (ATU-L22) Android 8.0 version?
edit: i flashed LineageOS and it works but still i cant root using kingoroot, i still cant enter to custom recovery mode. Anyone please help?

So hey! I successfully booted into the TWRP and used it to flash the DISABLEFORCEENCRYPTION file, right after. I decided to reboot to recovery (Cause I think that would be great just after you flash something in TWRP) but then after it finishes showing the pocophone booting screen rather than showing TWRP recovery. It showed the stock MIUI recovery! someone please help! I just finished flashing magisk and a custom rom by using the method of: Everytime I need to flash something using TWRP I would just open adb and fastboot boot recovery it again so that I could use the TWRP!
Thank you in advance!

I decided to fix this problem after I flashed a rom cause I think I would run into future problems involving magisk and it's use of the TWRP recovery.

If you already have the ROM installed, use adb to flash TWRP and without booting flash Magisk and then boot to system. If you are on stock ROM, follow THIS.
For entering into TWRP, use the key combination of volume up + power buttons.
You can use the encryption compatible TWRP (search for it) instead of the official one.
