Hello,
My phone is turned off and when I connect it with my laptop (same with my PC) it keeps getting disconnected and reconnected. My phone is ZTE Blade Q Maxi.
First, I thought that the problem was my USB cable or USB slot, but in the end, they're okay. The drivers I have installed on my laptop are following: Android ADB interface, DA USB VCOM Port, Gadget Serial (there's probably more, but they're seperated in categories). I noticed when I connect my phone, 1 driver appears - Preloader USB VCom port, about 2 seconds becauses instantly it gets disconnected.
Currently, my phone is bricked, but I've had this issue before.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

This is a new issue, it used to work fine, but now, whenever I plug a USB cable into my phone and PC, nothing happens on the PC(No usb found sound) and the phone just shows that it is charging. I opened Device Manager and plugged the phone in and it did not refresh or find anything new. No Unknown Devices in DM either. Currently I am working with a Windows 7 x86 laptop.
Things I have tried:
-Different PC
-Different USB cable
-Factory Reset
-Uninstall/reinstalled HTC drivers
I dont know what the issue is, do I have a bad USB port? Any suggestions?
same problem
bump
Yeah, so i've read plenty of topics about USB problems, but none gave me the
anserw.
I'm running Villain ROM 3.0. I just cant connect my phone to the computer (Mac).
It work well before also after flashing Villain.
What i tried:
1. connecting my phone without usb debuging ->phone gives the sound and report in the notification bar : "MTP - initializing" then "USB Connected, MTP-connected" But it does not gives a connection with my mac.
2. Connecting my phone with usb debuging ->phone gives the sound, but nothing happens. nothing in the notification bar neither on the computer. It's strange becouse before it was making the same sound and giving me the info in the notification to connect.
3. I've also tried KIES air it works fine. i can see my phone content, but when im trying to send one file (130mb) there is no reaction to this.
Also some time ago i was able to get usb working by simply choosing usb debuging and restarting phone.
But now i have no acces to my storage
Please help
I have a similar problem.
When I connect my SGSII to my PC (with USB Debugging On) I see 2 Removable Drives in Windows' Explorer. If I click on either one I get the "Please Insert Disk". If I connect to the same USB with USB Debugging off, then Kies Starts but does not connect.
Now the weird bit, if I do the same thing in the next USB port, then everything works fine.
Going back to the first USB slot then the problem reappears.
The 2 USB slots are next to each other and go back to the same controller on the motherboard. I have removed Kies and reinstalled Kies. I have uninstalled all the drivers. I have even changed the USB cable. When I plug a USB External Hard Drive into either USB, it works fine.
Maybe the phone just likes the one connection per computer. I'll have to test that out in my work's PC.
Update:
managed to get a microUSB cable and tested it on my work's PC. Exact same situation. Both PCs run Windows XPpro.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Now, when you said that, i checked with my second usb por, and everything works fine .
So thanks for your help. One working with sgs2 usb port is enought for me
Hello
Some time ago I decided to flash recovery to my Kazam Trooper X5.5 (MTK 6572) with MTK Droid Tools.
Unfortunatelly, phone got bricked. I went through many threads (not only on XDA) and mostly to unbrick MTK device, PC has to recognize it as MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port. I can't force my PC/phone to connect device as DA USB VCOM and it connects always as MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM. In some threads I've seen that holding volume up while connecting to PC will make device recognizable as DA USB VCOM. It's not working for me. Also I've seen many cable connection methods - with battery, without battery, plugging cable while holding vol up etc.
The only way I can make my PC recognize mtk device is to disconnect cable, pull off battery, connect cable and place battery back. Now PC recognizes my phone for 2 seconds and disconnects.
I tried to install drivers manually but even if MediaTek DA USB VCOM appears on the list, connected device is recognized as new and it installs PreLoader driver.
Is there any way to force it to connect as MediaTek DA USB VCOM?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
My phone just starts into fastboot after a failed setup. I'm trying to recover it but it isn't being detected by my pc. I've tried a lot of USB cables and it is not working.
Even without the properly drivers it should appear at Windows Device Manager, right?
It appears that it is a hardware problem. Before that I've been unable to connect it with my PC, and I've ordered a USB board replacement. I've aleady replaced it, but it is not working.
Thanks.
Try with a deep flash cable or disconnecting the battery and connecting it again
dear all, this is my first time here, i am having issue with my legion phone 2 dual, the left usb is able to charge but unable to connect to laptop, it show usb malfunction and as per screenshot, even when i am not charging nor connected, it will still keep prompting charging.
i try to use the bottom usb c to update firmware but fail.
any advise?
Change Default USB Mode in developer options to something other than No Data Transfer. You may be missing Qualcomm HSUSB and Android adb/fastboot drivers if you are using Windows.
